Their flexibility and willingness to help us figure out what needs to be done were probably the two things that distinguish them most. I have a sense that if I were to hire a larger “expert” in Salesforce implementation, I would have to do more work to get the project going. I would have to fill out their requirements form or jump through all hoops to keep the project moving, but with Cirrius I know that I could get them engaged. We aren’t working with sales teams using Salesforce for what it is designed for. Instead, we’re using that platform to track engagement with nonprofit members or we’re using it for clients looking to track media engagement. Overall, their flexibility was really valuable because we could bring them a strange use case and they would always help us figure it out. They never say that they couldn’t do our requirements.

In my mind, Cirrius Solutions is a colleague, rather than just a consultant. A part of the confines in working with a larger organization is the administration overhead. We work with requirements documents that may not be the industry standard, but Cirrius Solutions has been willing to handle them instead of bringing in their own approach. Cirrius Solutions has been good at reaching out on the technical and business side, which is important for Salesforce.

One thing Software For Good was insistent on, and we really liked, is that we wanted to bring the field team in and gain their input on the development from the beginning. We knew what we wanted to accomplish but what it looked like, what it felt like, and the content that was relevant to the end user was going to be something that we worked on from day one. Our field team has been overwhelmingly receptive to the content and the ease of use, as it’s the largest IT initiative and biggest technological transformation that our company has gone through in 30 years.

Their availability. They are really receptive and were really available whenever we needed them and our demands fluctuated. The scope of the project evolved as it often does, and Software For Good was able to keep up with the demand. Then, when the workload shifted down, they were very open and accommodating to that too. We’ve gone up and down in our programming needs. They’ve been really available to us and really collaborative with our team. We had regular iteration meetings and those were really helpful.
