They used Webflow for the website and Flutter for the mobile app. The team provided me with Webflow training. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Synergy Labs’ work helped us increase our sales by 30%, improve our engagement with company owners, and build our brand image. The app allowed us to communicate directly with company owners and provided easy access to statistics and analytics. We were able to build relationships with company owners, who could buy tickets and have chances to talk with suppliers. Moreover, my company was happy with me and promoted me. 

Synergy Labs understands their industry very well. I felt very comfortable working with the team. During our internal meetings, they suggested features They saw that ours was a B2B e-commerce platform where users could find wholesalers and suppliers. I initially thought a web app would be enough, but Synergy Labs suggested creating a mobile app due to the current trend. They offered to help me with everything, including the planning.

Synergy Labs communicated well and met deadlines. We used Zoom, and they added me to their Slack channel so I could see what was happening. I had visibility on the teammates working on my project and whether the deadlines were met.

I’d like to give a shout-out to Andrew because he was very good at his job and knew multiple languages. Our marketing manager speaks Chinese, and Andrew knows Chinese and French. Andrew was very talented — I was very impressed.

Synergy Labs is a reliable partner. When we were choosing them, we asked for a scope of work from Synergy Labs and another company. Synergy Labs was very responsible and created an excellent scope of work. The scope was organized, and the team made many suggestions.

The other company didn't meet the deadline, and it was very difficult to reach them. Meanwhile, Synergy Labs offered to have an in-person meeting. We had a phone call and an in-person meeting, during which they explained the scope of work.

What challenge were you trying to address with Synergy Labs?

We had a web application for a couple of years, but there was a big demand for our product in the market. We had some new ideas to connect caregivers with people who needed care, so we hired Synergy Labs to create a mobile app version of our web app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Synergy Labs has helped us create three versions of our mobile app for iOS and Android. The first app is for elderly people who need our caregiving services. The second app is for caregivers who want to provide those services. The third app is for partners who want to put their ads on our app and provide transportation services.

We initially wanted to create this app for iPads because elderly people sometimes have problems with their vision. However, we thought that we needed to provide a more comfortable version of this app for partners and caregivers, so we've made it available for smartphones as well.

Synergy Labs has used Figma to create the designs. They've shared a clickable prototype with me so that I can see how the app works. As for the coding, Synergy Labs is using JavaScript.

Synergy Labs has also tested the app by themselves and suggested features to be included. For example, they've suggested adding video reviews because, for elderly people, it might be difficult to type entire reviews about our product. The team has done market research for me, allowing them to suggest features we haven't thought of.

We've worked with six teammates from Synergy Labs, including the owner. Besides the owner, their team has included a project manager, who communicates a lot with me; a designer, who has created the Figma designs; and the head of development, who has been in charge of controlling the coding process. I've also seen other teammates in our Slack group chat.

A friend of mine had some projects with Synergy Labs. She said they could do this business for me, and she told me they were very reliable, so I hired them. They met my budget and gave me a clear scope even before we signed a contract. They did half the job for free, including the initial design. I knew I could believe in them, so I continued the project.

We started working together in April 2023, and the engagement is ongoing. We've completed everything, and we will be launching this product in October 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've been testing the app with our current clients for three months, and everything seems fine. Our caregivers say the app is comfortable to use. They can't always log in and check everything on the web, so having an app makes it easy for them to enter their profile and check everything.

Our app also makes it easy for elderly people to do these activities with their phones. Before, their children and younger generations used to do this for them. Now, they're using it by themselves very carefully using their iPads. They can check whether the caregiver is female or male, check their ratings, and leave video reviews. This is very comfortable and different from what we have in the market, so I believe it'll be a big success.

How did Synergy Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Synergy Labs has delivered on time and on budget, and they communicate well with us — everything is fine.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I'd like to give a shout-out to Mike, the project manager. She has been very responsible and talks to me as if we were friends. The fact that she's a project manager like me has made the process very simple for me. Initially, I wanted to manage the project myself, but when I tried, it was more difficult than I thought because there were many activities involved in developing the different versions of our apps.

Therefore, I asked Synergy Labs to assign a professional project manager. I've learned a lot from Mike. She has acted as a true friend and shown me how to do some activities with the apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Synergy Labs is very professional. They've done a good job meeting all the deadlines and my expectations, so I'm very satisfied. I'm not the owner, but I'm the project manager, and their work has helped me get a promotion.

I don't think there's anything they can improve on. If there's a chance, I'll cooperate with them again in the future.

I went to India to learn traditional well-being ideology about the balance between people's mindset, mind, and body. After going back to the US, I had an idea to develop a fitness app. We hired Synergy Labs to develop a fitness app.

Synergy Labs helped me with the whole process of developing my app, from scratch to finish. I didn’t have a clear idea of how to develop a website or a mobile app, so they helped me with everything. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Synergy Labs helped me create a business that runs smoothly. Even though we're at the beginning of our journey, we already have around 200 paid users, and we’re getting profit from the advertisements on our website. We show our users healthy diets and exercises, promote some products there, and offer users something different than other fitness apps. I’m very happy with the results, and I believe we’ll reach 1,000 users by New Year.

The app users have never complained about bugs, which is fantastic. The Synergy Labs team was experienced in the app's sphere and showed me similar apps, but mine was different because it had an ideology as a base. Initially, I only wanted to develop the app for iPads, but Synergy Labs told me my market would be very limited that way, so they built it for iOS and Android as well.

How did Synergy Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything was fine regarding project management. We talked through Slack. I’m not very technical, so I called them again and again for updates, and they were always kind and answered me on time. Synergy Labs was also open to making changes for free. They provided three months of free maintenance.

Half of the team was girls, so we talked a lot about the project, how it should be, how it should look, and why people should choose our product when there are so many fitness apps. I checked the process and performance through a board, including finished and pending tasks.

There was a girl on the team who had experience using the kind of app I wanted to make. She showed me what features I needed in the app and was almost a co-owner of the app.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Synergy Labs didn’t limit themselves to development. They suggested adding features and three different plans for my services. For example, I hadn't thought about having a page for videos, but they showed me that it would be more organized to have videos on the app rather than having users go to YouTube. They did deep research before going into the task, clarified my needs, and checked if their needs conflicted with mine. 

Additionally, they checked what my competitors were doing and features that were trending in the space, which I was very happy with. Other providers don't do this and then ask for more money to redevelop the app, which happened to my friend. Synergy Labs was very honest with me. 

Synergy Labs provided me with consulting services, not just technical development. They were entrepreneurs who knew the business very well. This was my first time trying these kinds of services, and I was very happy with the experience they provided.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on. Everything was very smooth.

If you’re not experienced in the sphere of developing software or apps, you should go with Synergy Labs. They consult with you, and even if you don’t use their services, you’ll have a clear picture of your app after having a call with them. Talking to them is like seeking advice from your friend. We've been in business since 2014, so we had a very old website and wanted to renew it. We also wanted to create a custom mobile app for our clients. When we started this company, were doing our business through our website only. However, after some time, we decided to create a mobile app. Nowadays, every website has their own mobile app, which helps them increase their customer base.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Synergy Labs has helped us revamp our website and develop an iOS and Android mobile app to help users track their financial spending. The app has a feature where users can add their cards and track all the information on how much they spend on what kind of services in a month.

We also connect our users to other service providers, such as psychologists and doctors. If a child has problems or is sick, users can contact a doctor and talk about their problems. For these calls, the doctors charge a certain amount of money. At the end of each month, users are able to see how much money they spent on the doctors and other things.

Our app also has a community feature, where users are able to talk with peers to see how each one is handling these kinds of problems. In summary, some of the features include messaging, social media capabilities, finance management, and analytics.

Currently, we're still testing the app. Synergy Labs is also providing maintenance 24/7. I can contact them at any time, and they help me with any issue.

I was looking for a really good service provider and ended up talking to four different companies. Still, Synergy Labs was the best company due to their responsiveness. Moreover, they were very kind, so I chose them.

I've known someone from Synergy Labs for a long time. When I met him, he worked for another company but then decided to start his own company. However, I wasn't sure about choosing them. I had a couple of calls with them, and I saw that they had good professionals working there. Therefore, I decided to give them a try.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Synergy Labs has delivered a great app. Initially, I didn't know what the app should look like or some of the features it would need. Synergy Labs has suggested adding certain features, such as social media capabilities and group chats. My main was to have an app with a payment structure, but they've improved it with some of their ideas. Their designer is very good and has shown me what a good design looks like.

Ultimately, this app has helped me increase my sales by 50% and grow my customer base. Nowadays, users would rather have this kind of mobile app than sit in front of their computers, log into a website, and enter their credit card information over and over again. Overall, everything is working very smoothly, and my clients are happy.

How did Synergy Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

When we started, I told Synergy Labs about my expectations about the timeline and budget. We've never been out of this limit. Additionally, they always have a meeting with me when I have a problem. There was a time when I wanted to change something in the design, and they did it for me without any problems.

We always communicate through Slack, and if we need to have a meeting, we do it through Zoom or Google Meet. When contacting other companies, they usually told me they would call me back and never did, or if we had a meeting, they usually showed up late, which was irresponsible. However, Synergy Labs has never missed a single call with me. They're very responsible and put a lot of effort into my project, which makes me feel special.

I would like to give a shout-out to the owner. I've known him for a long time, and I've felt like a special customer for him. I'm really happy to work with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Synergy Labs' customer attention is impressive. I feel like they've put all of their company support into my project. They've also been very responsive whenever I've had issues or wanted changes. Moreover, I've been able to directly contact the designer or the head of the development team when needed.

When collaborating directly with one teammate from a service provider, it's hard to know what to expect from the rest of the team. However, Synergy Labs' entire team has been there to help me. They've even helped me understand my own needs. As mentioned, I didn't know what I wanted. Still, their team has shown me some examples, done some market research, and helped me define my customer persona and the scope of work.

Overall, I'm very thankful for Synergy Labs' help with my business, which is why I wanted to leave this review.

However, Synergy Labs has done everything from scratch with and for me. I've checked everything they've done and understood what I actually need for my business. If you need to develop a professional app from scratch, work with them.

Synergy Labs has provided us with design, mobile app development, and web development services. The team has built a complex mobile app for Android and iOS from scratch. I'm the founder of a residential real estate holding company with a portfolio in Florida. We mainly buy properties and rent them, but we also do fix-and-flip work.

We needed to build a comprehensive platform for our property management needs. We own a lot of properties, so we needed a property management system tailored to our needs. We used a different portfolio software before, but it didn't have as many customization capabilities as we needed, so we decided to have our own software built. Our goal was to use it for ourselves first and then market it to other property management companies.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've hired Synergy Labs to build our software. This system has many components. The first one is a communication service. With it, we can reach out to our tenants and send them reminders via a mobile app, email, or SMS text. Communication is a very important part of this solution, so it also has capabilities for automated payment reminders.

The second main feature is for payment processing. Through our platform, we can collect rent payments through credit cards, ACH transfers, and electronic checks. Our system automatically calculates the fee, the tenant's location, and their method of payment.

Another component of this platform is its accounting capabilities. With it, we can do all the accounting work, almost as if we were using QuickBooks. It has a smart entry functionality where we can enter receipts and scanned invoices, and it automatically sends that information to our accountants.

In addition to those features, our system has a workspace management feature that we use to add our whole staff to the platform, allowing us to delegate some tasks. It serves as a project management tool within the system.

The features described are the main components of this app, but we've also implemented many integrations. For example, we have an integration with ButterflyMX, PetScreening, and other CRMs. Currently, we're adding more integrations.

As for the technology stack, we've used JavaScript. Initially, we used Node.js on the backend and React on the frontend. Then, we switched to Next.js to optimize the code. Now, we're also building a mobile app using Flutter.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Within the first four months of our engagement, we were able to launch the first MVP of our platform. Since then, we've been continuously updating it. Over time, this system has become the backbone of our company — we wouldn't be able to run our business without it. This tool has been extremely important for us, as we add more and more properties to our portfolio.

As for the quality of the system, there have been some hiccups here and there, and it has gone down a few times. However, six months into the engagement, Synergy Labs offered 24/7 coverage in case our system went down again, so we opted for that service. Overall, the quality of their work is amazing.

How did Synergy Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Synergy Labs is a boutique agency, and they live up to that word. Even the founder has been engaged, joined our calls, and given us individual attention. Their communication is very proactive. We've worked with other software development agencies in the past, and they usually were very technical and didn't use simple language. However, Synergy Labs is very proactive and very friendly.

Sometimes, we're behind them because we're not able to test everything they ask us to test on time whenever they need to release a new feature. Still, they always follow up very nicely. Overall, they provide really good customer service.

As for communication tools, we use Slack to manage all of our communication and have weekly calls. In fact, we recently started using Slack recently for internal project management as well. When needed, we use phone calls, but we mainly use Slack and email. We also meet in person with Synergy Labs sometimes because our offices are close.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It is impressive how Synergy Labs finds time for projects other than ours because we take a very big capacity from them. Their engineers seem to be working only on our project because we get a lot of attention.

What sets Synergy Labs apart from other companies is the fact that they're not too big or too small. They give us a lot of attention, and they don't have bureaucratic processes, which makes them very fast. At the same time, they've been in the business long enough to have experience.

Sometimes, small companies are new and inexperienced, so even when they offer great communication, they're not experienced enough. However, Synergy Labs is experienced yet small enough to give us personalized attention. They're the type of service providers we always try to hire.

Are there any areas they could improve?

At this point, Synergy Labs knows a lot about real estate. However, we initially had to teach them a lot about the industry and its intricacies. Ideally, it would have been great if they specialized in real estate, which is a selfish expectation. It would be amazing if they offered that niche focus, and they could even grow within the space. Still, I just hope they don't outgrow their personalized attention.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Engage with them initially in the discovery phase because they do an amazing job during that process. The team took about two weeks to create all the mock-ups and a detailed scope of work for us. Those two weeks were very intense, and we had multiple calls a day. However, going through that process prevented us from making a lot of mistakes in the future.

The primary goal was to develop a mobile app and website, including the first Minimum Viable Product (MVP), to extend a Manhattan-level laundry outsourcing experience to areas where such services are not readily available.

Synergy Lab redeveloped our existing app and developed a new website for our nail salons, focusing on providing a thoughtful hand and foot-care experience through our healthy, curated products. The app was completely redesigned with a more user-friendly interface, enhanced visuals, and improved functionality. Key features such as a streamlined booking experience, detailed schedules, gift cards, and availability sections were integrated to boost client engagement. Simultaneously, a cohesive website was created, containing same features and functions and reflecting our brand identity and values, featuring service descriptions, product listings, and customer reviews. Both the app and website underwent thorough testing to ensure optimal performance, and the project was completed with detailed information and guidance for our team.

The outcomes from the project included a significant rise in user engagement and app adoption rates, evidenced by positive feedback and higher satisfaction ratings. The improved booking process resulted in more bookings and fewer cancellations. The app became more stable with fewer bugs and crashes, and the new website saw more visitors and online bookings. The app's new features, like reviewing invoices, also helped reduce miscommunication. Features such as detailed schedules, gift cards, and availability sections were used more often, showing the success in improving the overall user experience and functionality.

Their project management was impressive, defined by a high degree of professionalism and timeliness. The team reliably met all deadlines, ensuring the project stayed on track. They maintained open and clear communication, always ready to discuss and receive feedback. Their dedication to understanding our needs and promptly resolving any issues was clear. Their systematic approach and careful attention to detail were visible in every part of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

First of all, the job was done swiftly, with all the details and comments in mind. Second of all, high-quality service and communication was delivered. I would also like to notice, that the price for this voluminous work was reasonable and fully justified.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Synergy Labs could have done differently?

It was a little bit problematic to realize actions with the map and locations, so I believe, Synergy Lab could enhance their ability to provide more complex services in means of technology. However, I have to mention that our cooperation dates back to more than a couple of years ago, and my comment may be not actual for the present time.

• Implemented a fresh, immersive design language across the app and website, incorporating rich visuals, animations, and interactive elements.
• Enhanced the user interface (UI) for better accessibility, ensuring the design was intuitive and user-friendly.
• Focused on the user experience (UX) by optimizing navigation, making it easy for users to engage with content. 

The project resulted in a revamped app and website featuring a fresh, immersive, and engaging design. Interactive prototypes and final design mockups were created to guide the development process. Comprehensive testing and quality assurance were conducted to ensure optimal performance and functionality.

Our primary goal was to redesign the existing mobile app and website, providing a modern and user-friendly interface to enhance user experience and engagement. Firstly, we have conducted a series of meetings to understand our vision, objectives, and specific requirements. Analyzed the existing app and website to identify areas for improvement and potential design enhancements.

Secondly and finally, Synergy Lab developed interactive prototypes to demonstrate the user flow and functionality. After that we have updated and integrated new design elements into the app and website without disrupting existing functionality.

As a result we have got redesigned app and website with a fresh, modern look; updated front-end codebase with integrated new designs; thoroughly tested and quality-assured app and website; training materials for the client's team.
