The fact that we keep going back to them also says something. We typically don’t work with vendors that don’t deliver and have success with, and we’ve continued to have success with SingleMind. The reliability and stability of the solutions they provide are solid. Every development project has hiccups and hitches, but they are usually related to either shifts and requirements from the customer or just unclear things that we may have missed for educations and designs. I’m sure someone else could have done some of it, but I feel like they are very efficient. They are on top of things. They do weekly progress reports and set up JIRA for communication. As far as making real progress, they are way more on top of it compared to other agencies that I’ve used. They are checking things off and getting through tickets instead of working on a lot of things without getting anything finished. In retainer work, sometimes a lot can happen but not a lot gets done. That’s one area where they stand out—they can actually get something finished.

The tasks and project management are really efficiently run by Michael, our PM. The developers communicate frequently and are very easy to work with as they look into the problem. We usually stay within our retainer budget, and any overages are discussed beforehand. There is a simple but totally effective project management process where we receive a weekly report (short and transparent) and have a weekly meeting. This meeting is generally less than 30 minutes, is super-relaxed but runs really well. Communication around tasks and tickets is all done through JIRA - this works really well. Just enough info but not too much.
