I'm most impressed by the level of one-on-one personalization they offer. They have excellent design judgment and provide better alternatives to our suggestions for placement and functionality. Black Antelope is such a small team that they feel more like a family-owned business than a bureaucratic corporation. We never get automated ticket responses to the task requests we send. Since the developers run the project themselves, there are never layers of divisions to communicate through. They respond very quickly, even though I work unusual hours including after 10:00 PM. Even at night, they usually get back to me right away. They’re willing to support us beyond the standard workday whenever the need arises.

I found our contact's accessibility to be very good. In my experience with tech consultants, they will drift at times. Black Antelope always responded to us within 12 to 24 hours to any email communication. I was also impressed with their technical skills. In my experience, there is a lot of pushback from developers when asking for anything that doesn't fit a particular theme. Black Antelope was able to produce anything we asked for, which was impressive. They did much of custom work, without being boxed into a particular theme.

They definitely have a unique approach in that they’re never sedentary. They’re extremely proactive. I honestly think they’re constantly sharing what they’re learning out in the industry. I can definitely tell that they have the latest information in front of them. One of the things I really, really like is that anytime that they present me with a concept or an idea, or any sort of presentation, you can tell it’s been vetted internally. It’s something that you could essentially take for granted, but I really don’t. It’s always a very client-ready product. Even if it’s just in its design phase, they’ve definitely already thought through things on our behalf without us necessarily having to ask for it.

Ultimately, we had three deliverables. First was a flyer/brochure to launch our capital campaign. Second was producing the hype video capturing the spirit of the Miracle League of San Diego. Finally, Rocket Dog delivered a brand new website that exceeded our expectations with respect to usability by us for future updates, current feel to drive and support traffic, and flow of information to our families and prospective families. Rocket Dog delivered ahead of time. Most importantly, regular communication was virtually instantaneous. I felt like we were Rocket Dog's most important client and I know that we are a very small project for the company. Rocket Dog delivered on every level. The creatives were top-notch, and the technical results were exceptional, the communication was seamless, timely and highly responsive, and the end results were beyond our Board's expectations.
