I think I had some confusion about the expected work product when the rough drafts were amazing and came with lots of add-ons and marketing assets. But I think I was expecting the opposite, where the rough drafts are supposed to be more 'rough' and minimal and then more comprehensive work is supposed to be put into the final draft.

It was evident that they ran a tight ship as each new person that we dealt with (team leader, graphic designer, IT etc) all were up to speed when we spoke and I felt like they genuinely had an interest in the brand and that we had a unique and valuable partnership. I mean it was all good, seriously. However what I really valued was them as people. They were great to work with, and I really felt like they genuinely cared. It was just not a quick gig, they want to see me succeed. Given that in the scheme of things my project was only small, this gave even more weight to that sentiment.
