Key clients:

Som key clients include Lay's, Dr. Smoothie, USA Today, Coors Light, Disney, Union Pacific, and Adidas. Our style is versatile and bold. While we're focused on restaurants + food & beverage brands, we also have experience working with outdoor sports & rec products, sports teams, and financial firms.

Eleanora Restaurant Branding Image

Eleanora Restaurant Branding

Eleanora is a new late-1800s-themed bar based that we created the branding for. We worked with the owner and CEO of the restaurant group to create a freak-circus style vibe that starts with the visual identity and manifests itself throughout the restaurant.

In addition to creating the visual identity system, we also created items such as a deck of playing cards, coasters, menus, posters, signage and more.

Dr. Smoothie Brand Refresh Image

Dr. Smoothie Brand Refresh

We worked with the Dr. Smoothie brand of Bevolution Group to refresh their logo of 20+ years and develop all new packaging for their 6 different product lines. When it came to the logo and visual identity, we knew we wanted to stay with the color red and within the script family for type in order to take advantage of the brand equity that had been built in the marketplace for the past 20 years. We also knew the brand deserved

custom handlettering, not a pre-built font.
One of the primary drivers for how the refreshed brand would look and feel was the Brand Archetype of Explorer. Throughout our discovery process, we collectively decided the Explorer persona best represented the ethos of the brand: adventurous, resilient, upbeat, non-conformist and independent. This proved to be a cornerstone of our voice and design decisions throughout the project.
Minnesota United FC Image

Minnesota United FC

Partnering with 4040 Agency, of San Francisco, we designed an array of brand and marketing collateral for the inaugural MLS season of Minnesota United FC. Projects included season tickets, ticket packages, posters, media guides, billboards, print and digital ads and much more.

Oskie Whiskey Brand Image

This liquor brand concept project includes a refreshed logo, colors, tags and packaging design.

Blackhawk Digital Marketing Brand Refresh Image

Blackhawk Digital Marketing Brand Refresh

We've been working with our talented friends Blackhawk Digital Marketing, based in Austin, for a couple of years. So when the time was right for them to invest in a rebrand, we were happy to help them get underneath their current brand and business to truly define and express what makes them special. After a few years of being in business, they were ready to take their full brand identity to the next level. We worked through

brand strategy together, better defining their personality, purpose, and position in the marketplace, along with their tone of voice and some key messaging. From there we developed a robust brand identity design system, including logos, colors, fonts, and secondary design elements. This gave them a flexible yet robust design framework they can grow with for years to come. We then helped them express their refreshed brand in a variety of materials, both print, and digital. This included web design, brand values posters, company merch/swag, business cards, and social media ads and templates.
Buffalo Status Image

Buffalo Status

When a storm is approaching, cows turn and run. Buffaloes stand and face the storm. Buffalo Status is a novel brand that's focused on helping others overcome their fears, face their storms and develop self-confidence and an unyielding spirit of perseverance in life. We worked with them to create a flexible and dynamic brand identity that included a primary logo, secondary logo badge, and a full brand style guide to give them a

design framework that is unique and compelling. Creating a sense of toughness and durability, yet still warm and accessible, was important in creating the right mood for first impressions. The brand identity has given them a compelling visual that creates momentum and influences the development of future products and services. Most of all, it makes you feel something and draws you in, wanting to know more and be a part of a unique brand experience.
Cole & Dainer Image

Cole & Dainer

"Thoughtfully made, modern gifts that feel like home." Cole & Dainer, based in Colorado, is committed to creating products that are modern and unique yet personal and timeless. We worked with them to refresh their primary logo, develop a secondary logo for versatile contexts, and then built out a more robust brand identity that captured the essence of what makes their blankets and products unique. This included new product

and lifestyle photography and creating a brand style guide that helped them define colors, fonts, and secondary design elements. Additionally, we helped refine their key messaging to better communicate their mission in a succinct yet appealing way. Then, we brought it all together in a new website that helps her stand out from their crowd and create a smooth, engaging experience for their growing base of consumers. The end result is a polished, refined, and playful brand image that better tells their story and connects with their tribe. Now, the brand better fits the product and mission.
CalmWater Financial Group Image

CalmWater Financial Group

"Plan well, live confidently." This is one of the things that sets CalmWater Financial Group apart and helps them create differentiation in the market. After decades of successful experience in the financial planning space, we partnered with their team to help them reimagine their brand and bring it up-to-date, ensuring they remain fresh and relevant for today's consumers. Our work included a thorough brand strategy in which we

helped them create clarity and alignment around who they are and what makes them truly unique. We then developed a robust brand identity that gives them a visual and verbal platform to ensure they initiate the right story and make the right impression in any context or medium. This included key messaging, tagline, copywriting, colors, fonts, patterns, etc. From their we helped manifest their new brand into all sorts of marketing collateral, including a newly designed and developed custom website. They now have a compelling, cohesive brand that rallied their team internally and helped create excitement about what makes CalmWater truly special.
Edison Coffee Co. | Branding Image

Edison Coffee Co. | Branding

We helped Edison Coffee Co. create a brand identity that captured their coffeeshop personality and vibe. From the logo to brand style guide, we helped craft an identity framework that gave them a flexible yet robust brand they can grow with for years to come. You can see more of the project here.

Washington Capitals Image

Washington Capitals

Partnering with 4040 Agency, we worked with the NHL's Washington Capitals to create their 2017 and 2018 season creative direction. When we started the engagement, the CAPS had endured several seasons of frustrating and abrupt endings to their seasons. While the Capitals have an incredibly loyal fan base, the core fans were tiring of many seasons of unmet expectations. The Capitals looked to us to create a brandline that the

team, organization and fans could rally around and call their own. Our ALL CAPS solution combined an enthusiastic rallying cry for the fans and a simple but strong message that the team and the city can call their own. As the Capitals made their incredible run towards the Stanley Cup Championship, ALL CAPS has captured the ethos of this team and the DC metro area. Our creative work included design concept exploration, execution examples in a myriad of contexts, and ensuring a smooth transition of creative assets to their internal creative team.
The Elect Brewing Co. Image

The Elect Brewing Co.

This conceptual project for The Elect Brewing Co. was a fun exploration of methods to bring a new brewery brand to life in a way that was youthful, forward and bold. From the logo design to the photography style to the supporting design elements, our goal was to create a unique yet flexible system that created a unique brewery brand experience. Overall, the identity is strong and memorable, sure to resonate with the youthful

audience looking for something different from their beer.
Brester Construction Website & Digital Branding Image

Brester Construction Website & Digital Branding

Brester is a construction company who hired WonderWild to refresh and reimagine their online presence and identity.

We worked with them to create a new sitemap and structure for their website, wrote compelling copy for their primary pages and created a custom design and developed website, built in Wordpress.

Overall, the new website is clean and progressive, enabling them to stand out from the competition and

put their best foot forward in the marketplace, allowing them to attract top talent and be perceived as a warm, friendly and truly unique business and brand.
FaithFit Image

FaithFit

"What if working out became so much more than the physical?" FaithFit is a startup workout-focused app that blends the gap between physical training and spiritual formation. We worked with them to create a very simple yet perfectly appropriate brand identity, starting with the monogram FF icon that uses negative space to convey someone working out. From there we built out a design ecosystem to help them launch their product

into the real world, giving them a design framework to grow with. Overall, their identity is something that will never go out of style, never look dated, and will look good in any digital or physical context. Simple, bold, and strikes the right brand personality.
Hangry With Friends Image

Hangry With Friends

Ever want to go grab a bite to eat with your friends, but can't figure out where to go? Hangry With Friends is a new app designed to streamline that very process. We worked with the founders to bring their vision for the brand to life through a fun, playful and engaging brand identity. The logo is appealing to young and old, distinct and flexible so it can work in any context or medium. Herman is an animated character that

infuses personality and energy into the brand experience, and the warm, fresh colors and modern type create the perfect environment for a friendly, easy-to-use app. We also designed the app experience and helped manifest the visual identity into the full digital ecosystem.

The new website drew in twice as many applicants as prior years. WonderWild's creative team creates sites specialized to the needs of the client. They are patient, knowledgable, and professional.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of an agribusiness company that provides seasonal, local workers to major seed corn companies. We hire about 600 teenagers and college students to work in the summers, interface with state and federal agencies, including providing certified DOT transportation for employees, as well as building relationships with international seed corn companies around the world.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire WonderWild?

We needed a new website built, from the ground up, to replace an outdated and non-user friendly one. We also needed a fresh rebranding, one that would stand out from our competitors and make a memorable impact both for attracting workers and displaying a professional, can-do attitude for potential agribusinesses that we contract with.

What were your goals for this project?

My goals were to create a website that would give information to potential workers about our company in a way that wouldn't bog them down. We have a lot of information to convey to our crew, and I wanted to do it in a visually pleasing way that would walk them through what it's like to spend your summer making money in a cornfield. I also wanted it to be very mobile-friendly, and for me (not very techy!) to be able to configure things within it easily, as our needs evolved.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Seth came highly recommended to me by--would you believe it?--one of his competitors. I had seen his work before and was impressed. I also selected him for the rebranding project, which is still ongoing, because another vendor that we had used fell short of our goals for the vision we had for our company. Seth was able to catch our vision and create a stunningly beautiful, yet simple, logo that will have longevity.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

WonderWild designed and developed our website from the ground up. They developed an application for potential employees to fill out, and it exports neatly into the system we have in our office and seamlessly integrates with the payroll company that we use. They listened to our heart for what we wanted the website to be and to convey, and they nailed it spot on.

What was the team composition?

There were two main people involved in our project, Seth being main visionary and designer, and then a developer for the more technical aspects.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

As mentioned earlier, we hire about 500-600 people every summer for seasonal work. I need our site to be attractive to teenagers, their parents, as well as college students. This year, I had the luxury of having almost 1,000 applicants fill out the online application. In other words, WonderWild's website helped us attract almost double the number of applicants that we needed to hire.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Seth was always ahead of us on project management. If there ever was a sticking point, it was me slowing things down. He was patient, yet gently nudged me forward to get to the desired goal whenever I got that "deer in the headlights" moment and didn't know which way to go.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Creativity in design. Seth is just good. Period. As in, gifted. They're willing to explore different design options and make it happen.

Are there any areas for improvement?

For me, because I'm old school--probably more phone or even face-to-face interactions are helpful to keep me moving forward. I tend to get stuck when I have to respond in writing to requests, especially if I'm in a busy season and want to write everything out perfectly. A quick phone call can get me moving in the right direction sometimes more effectively.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior marketing manager for Bevolution Group. We’re a young, private equity-owned manufacturer that recently acquired several legacy brands.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with WonderWild?

We were trying to refresh one of our brands named Dr. Smoothie. We had finished our market research and defined our root beliefs, target audience, and overall tone. From there, hired WonderWild to help us develop visual guidelines and packaging to represent the new brand.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The WonderWild team began by helping us further define the brand personality and providing design concepts. They transformed our overwhelming visuals into an organic, natural image that still represented our boldness. After getting feedback from key partners, we chose one of their designs for the website. Their team helped us strengthen our visual brand for every touch point and brought all of our products together into one cohesive package. The materials they developed include brochures, merchandise, posters, banners, and other selling tools. They also created mock-up designs for the website.

What is the team composition?

Though our project had a broad scope, they provided a lean, consistent team of Seth (Creative Director, WonderWild) and Jameson (Project Manager, WonderWild).

How did you come to work with WonderWild?

We searched online for a creative, capable partner. We reached out to WonderWild and were impressed by their portfolio and overall responsiveness. We chose them because we were confident they’d be the perfect fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent slightly under $50,000 for their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2017–June 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are currently doing a soft launch for the new packaging, and all the feedback we’ve received has been positive so far.  They delivered a final product that cleanly captured our brand’s personality in an impactful way. Everything they developed was user-friendly and met our expectations.

How did WonderWild perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was their strength—we had regular progress updates, and they were highly responsive. We had scheduled phone calls and could reach them over email. Even though it was a small team, they ensured we remained efficient and in contact. They were accommodating when we had unforeseen delays and needed to reprioritize specific tasks. Their dedication and availability are what made them a true partner to us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

WonderWild’s warmth and openness translated into their work—we couldn’t have asked for more from a vendor. They were easy to connect with and remained flexible throughout the project. They had a smart, organized perspective on the creative aspect of the work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Though we had planned phone calls, they were harder to reach when we needed an unscheduled call. They were responsive over email, but there were instances in which speaking to them outside of our arranged times would’ve been helpful.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re working on brand packaging, having a regulations expert should be general practice.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the vice president of Lincoln Glass, a glass company based in Lincoln, Neb. We currently have about 35 employees.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with WonderWild?

When my husband and I bought the company about a year ago, we wanted to do a brand overhaul, including a redesign of our website, logo, and marketing collateral.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

WonderWild designed a few logos for us to choose from. Once we decided on a direction, their team created business cards and supporting marketing collateral as needed. They then redesigned our website.

What is the team composition?

I've been in communication with three people: two of the owners and a website designer.

How did you come to work with WonderWild?

We knew the owners of WonderWild before we bought Lincoln Glass. When we met with them, we knew right away that it was a perfect match and that their team had the best interests of our business in mind.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2017 and they continue to work on miscellaneous design projects for us. Our new website launched on January 1, 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We receive about 200 views each day since the new website launched and tons of positive feedback from the local community. We feel like the new site effectively showcases everything we do—they did a phenomenal job.

How did WonderWild perform from a project management standpoint?

Although we communicate mostly through email, we're able to meet with their team in-person frequently since we're in the same city. They've been very accommodating to our schedule and patient with us as we take our time to make decisions.

They picked great people on their team to work on our project. The entire process has been stress-free and seamless. They've been incredibly helpful, educating us in areas we're unfamiliar and taking a hands-on approach to all of their work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They strive to put you and your business first. They're not just trying to sell you on their services or on their own vision; they really want to make your vision come to life. When I've provided constructive feedback on some of content they had written, for example, they were great about making adjustments as needed to better reflect our brand's voice. It's been a great experience working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

While it was nice to be in touch with so many members on their team, I think some of the email communication could've been streamlined.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be yourself and do what's best for you and your company. If they're able to see your passion and vision, they'll do everything they can to make it work.

Feedback summary:

Not only have the close ratios at their sales meetings increased, but the company's employees feel more confident about their brand. Overall, WonderWild always explained their reasoning, and effectively convinced the customer to do less where they might have thought more was better.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Simple Strat. We help small and medium sized businesses with their marketing and marketing strategy.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with WonderWild?

If we have a client who needs something we can’t provide—branding, for example—we would partner with others who offer similar services. We were working with a B2B company that was selling leadership, development, and organizational management services. They were also working on a software product. Over the years, they had a lot of focus on sales but not as much on marketing. They needed a visual representation of their services because their sales are based on referrals. They wanted to be seen as a credible business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We partnered with WonderWild to rebrand all of the materials, delving into the essence of the brand. We established a new color palette while working with their existing logo. These colors were applied to all their collateral, including brochures, white papers, one-pagers, and a PowerPoint. We developed customer business diagram graphics about their processes. Those visuals were then used in their social media and the email newsletters they would send out.

How did you come to work with WonderWild?

They were a referral from a contact of ours who worked in the entrepreneurship and innovation space. We saw their work, we liked it and contacted them.

How much have you invested with WonderWild?

We spent under $10,000 with WonderWild on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them on this project in January 2016, and the work was completed in September 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The client is using the materials in their sales meetings and their close ratios are very high. The materials also boosted the morale of the employees internally. Before WonderWild’s work, employees had been afraid to send people to their website. Now, they are confident in the new look and feel of the brand. When we work with WonderWild, it’s definitely a collaborative effort. They make sure they understand the client’s problem. For this client, they were great at helping to identify similar companies in the marketplace that were not in their vertical. The client could see the results of WonderWild’s work and was able to trust them.

How did WonderWild perform from a project management standpoint?

We had an internal project manager that worked with them. Everything was delivered on schedule. If there were any delays, it was because of the client. We communicated in person as well as via phone and email. We were working with one resource from WonderWild on this project.

What did you find most impressive about WonderWild?

Compared to other companies like theirs, the thing I appreciated is their attention to driving visual impact. Whenever they suggested anything, it wasn’t taken lightly. They make sure to explain the reason why it’s a good option. They try to get the message across that less is more.

Are there any areas WonderWild could improve?

Something we deal with any rebranding partners is the challenge of communicating the overall value of what they do. People see the price tag and think anyone could do the visuals that they provide, but don’t understand everything behind it.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Kodestarters is a custom software development company primarily working with new startups. I’m the founder and president.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with WonderWild?

We wanted to better define the user experience.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They work on UI [user interface] and UX [user experience] projects for us. They also work with my clients to help with creative and brand strategy. One of the projects we’re working on, Story Tell will be launched shortly. It’s a photo-sharing app with a very targeted demographic. It was important that we create a UI/UX that were very simple but differentiated itself by how it looked and interacted with the users. In the beginning, we made a design sprint with the customer and a third-party marketing agency. Then we did user testing on the wireframes and then additional testing on the overall UI. After that, they worked independently with the customer to provide all of their branding and identity.

How did you come to work with WonderWild?

I wanted to find a group that understood my challenges of working with UI and UX. I also needed to find a group that could create an interface that could connect with users on an emotional level.

How much have you invested with WonderWild?

The project cost was between $10,000 and $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This project began in May 2016 and was completed in July 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The feedback was excellent. The user testing was some of the best we have seen. The quality of the presentation was probably the best we’ve done to date.

How did WonderWild perform from a project management standpoint?

WonderWild works quickly, and any delays were because of me. We have met personally because WonderWild is local, but we communicated primarily through instant message and over the phone. I had a dedicated project manager.

What did you find most impressive about WonderWild?

WonderWild is very enjoyable to work with which makes communication simple. Their quality of work is high level.

Are there any areas WonderWild could improve?

No, I have nothing to suggest.

Refresh our established brand to something more relevant to today, an attractive new look and message that still gave credit to our roots.
