BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work in sales at Surati Sweet Mart Limited. Surati is a food manufacturer based in Toronto which makes/distributes snacks, baked goods, granola and a variety of other products throughout Canada, US, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire studiobubble, and what were your goals?

Our company acquired a granola company and decided to rebrand the entire line to a new brand called Grain Zero. Studiobubble was tasked with coming up with the logo, branding and the packaging for 20+ products. Our goals were to have a line that stood out on the shelf, highlighted our product features and showed the value of what we are offering.

How did you select this vendor?

We work with 3-4 different designers for our design projects. We usually go over the project with them and then discuss ideas and get quotes from the designers. The decision was based on a combination of costs and who we felt had the best ideas for the project.

Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.

We started out with the logo and brand colours. We then created designs for each of our product categories (granola, snacks, baking and bars). We wanted the line to have a cohesive feel while still having certain unique traits. The final deliverables were print ready files for all the products plus high quality 3D renderings for our marketing efforts.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We only worked with Yashar as our designer. He was great to work with. Really creative and organized.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to successfully launch the Grain Zero line in Canada across 50+ stores in 2022. The brand image and packaging was a major selling point. We were able to secure listings for our baking line with a major Canadian retailer and will be securing more listings in 2023.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Studiobubble was very organized in their approach. We focused in on a product category and completed the designs but still had other products in mind as we progressed. We had regular checkpoints (virtual and in person) to make sure were on track to launch at the beginning of 2022.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Studiobubble works with us as if they are part of the company. Yashar tried to look at the project from a 360 degree angle - everything from what competitors are doing in the space to positioning of key information on the package.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had a very pleasant experience working with Studiobubble.
