The try-on system's metrics are accurate up to 0.1 mm — more than a ruler. Although the system is hardware-dependent, the software is absolutely fantastic. From what I've seen, the new test hasn't had any false positives or negatives, so everything is correlating well. Before working with them, I had never met a company in the creative space that wasn't late for deadlines. We've been incredibly chuffed with Treeview because they always deliver on time if we set a deadline. Often, they finish early and make sure they sort out glitches before they deliver, so their project management is just incredible. They've never been late, and their delivery matches their promises, so their project management is incredible.

Treeview adds value to our partnership by giving us new ideas. We could always outsource to a company that completes a brief but not always find a company that offers us new ways to think. Treeview joins us at the helm and contributes at a strategic level, which is really important. Treeview developed a repository of code that we can reuse. It initially costs a bit more to develop a commons of code but there’s a lot more profit in future projects because we’re able to use the code. Treeview understood our business’s long-term goals and developed a code library that we can reuse in future projects. That has allowed us to be not only more profitable but also confident because we can build on that foundation.

Every time there was a challenge, they were transparent and kept us informed. There was a point where we were ready to give up and move to a backup mobile app solution, but Lucid pushed through and even flew over a replacement headset from Ukraine to London, and they didn’t charge us for the flight and transportation. Be explicit that you want honesty and transparency; at least if you have that, you can plan accordingly as any issues come up rather than being told what problems there were when the project is done or deadlines aren't met and you're not quite happy.

Application development was done in three distinct phases. The design and discovery phase was one month long and at the end there was a set of design mockups as well as user stories created to guide the subsequent development phase. The development phase used an agile approach where work was broken out into 2 week sprint cycles over the next 3 months. We had a shared Jira board where TheAppLabb would collaborate on which user stories would be prioritized for each sprint, and at the end of each sprint there was a clear set of features delivered that were then turned over for our quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
