Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Marketing Specialist for Campus Housing at the University of Waterloo. We are the third largest post-secondary housing provider in Canada.

For what projects/services did your company hire Vibe VR, and what were your goals?

Virtual Reality experience and videos.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had 4 companies quote for us. Vibe was easy to work with, flexible but most importantly, included onsite execution in their initial quote. Other companies would not come to our event but Vibe was happy to make it out to Waterloo.

We needed to show prospective students what our residences were like but we had restrictions with the pandemic. VR technology allowed us show visitors what our dorm rooms, bathrooms, common rooms, etc were like from within.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with David. It was professional and he responded to emails quickly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

March Break Open House visitors who used the headsets were happy with the experience as were other campus partners and faculties. We were able to provide an exciting alternative in the face of pandemic obstacles.

We communicated with David through email and Google calls. He was great to work with in person as well. Very personable.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

David was able to make recommendations for our event that we never would have thought of. I was clear he had the experience needed to add VR to our portfolio in the most economical and creative ways.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing off the top of my head. We hope to work with Vibe VR again.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder of a multidisciplinary entertainment personality called Zola Molotov. With fire dance, circus and theatre I entertain crowds at special events, festivals, fairs and in the corporate world.

For what projects/services did your company hire Vibe VR, and what were your goals?

I hired Vibe VR to create an immersive documentary illustrating the roots of my character Zola Molotov. It is a truly compelling story of wonder, adventure and magic, and I wanted to create something that would inspire a wide audience.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I decided on Vibe VR because they are a local Ottawa company and that is my hometown. I also like that it is a family business. The fact that they are local and a family means I can put a face to them, even though they are working in a highly technological and "not human" field.

Kata and Dave were extremely articulate about the shots and vision. No time was wasted on camera angles and lighting, they had everything pre-planned before shoot day. I was able to focus on my performance.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Kata and Dave; the founder of Vibe VR. They were personable and empathetic people with a keen eye for aesthetics, creative vision, and execution.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is currently in post-production, but I have received a truly beautiful "movie poster" photo as a bonus that I have been able to start advertising the project with. This is success. I have a lot of buzz going around from my fans to see the documentary, even some friends calling me up to ask for more details!

We begun in the morning, they were not late, our time was well used. We had a great time, laughing when something was funny and getting serious when necessary. When I was nervous in front of the camera, they were calm and supportive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Kata and Dave are so cool! You can tell they have lived many life chapters before this point. Life experience is essential to me.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't think of anything I would've wanted done differently!

I’m an undergrad administrator at a University.

For what projects/services did your company hire Vibe VR, and what were your goals?

We wanted to create a congratulatory video for recent graduates. We liked the idea of vr because it would allow students the opportunity to see the campus in ways they had missed in the last couple years.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Vibe VR is one of the only companies we found doing this kind of work in the area. We wanted to go with a local company.

They created 2 vr short media pieces. I appreciated the ease of working with them. We explained our goals, and they offered creative options for us to choose from. They were very accommodating with the strict regulations in place. They completed the project autonomously from start to delivery.

We worked with David and Kata the co-owners of Vibe VR.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were very pleased with the end results. David and Kata were able to capture the familiar landscapes of our campus, we’re accommodating with unexpected delays on my side, and were able to complete the project under a tight deadline.

During development we had a few virtual meetings and stayed updated via email. I really appreciated the level of communication to keep us in the loop of the progress and details on choices we had along the way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

David and Kata were quickly able to come up with ideas that fir our “vision”. I like how flexible they were throughout the process to accommodate changing rules and regulations
