At the beginning, before we did the actual design, Zoey took the time to do a formal assessment with us. That’s pretty typical, I think, but the questions she asked were really thoughtful. I felt like they were really trying to get at who we are and what kind of people we prefer, looking a little bit more beneath the surface of what the website is and getting a feel for us as an organization. Overall, she was a really good listener. She knew how to probe and ask questions. Drawing from my own consulting experience, if you don’t get that assessment step right, then the rest of the work tends to fall down.
