BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a financial executive who was the target of an unsubstantiated “investigation”. While the results of the investigation exonerated me from any wrongdoing, the investigative report, including the original allegations of misconduct were published by the local newspaper in an effort to expose the shortcomings of the current mayor and build the career of a young reporter. The city continued to generate new news, burying the results. However, a search of my name continued to result in the negative news story coming up in the results.

For what projects/services did your company hire Internetzone I, Inc., and what were your goals?

I hired internetzone to help bring positive content up in the search results, lowering the bad search results. This effort took approximately 11 months. During that time, internet zone created and optimized enough positive content that the negative results were pushed to the 3rd page of the search results.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I chose internetzone for two reasons. First, Hayden pulled his team together and offered a strategy during our first conversation. No sales pitch, just strategy Then they offered a manageable price point for an individual (vs. other SEO companies that wanted to charge me $10k to get started).

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.

The campaign was fairly straightforward; improve the results of service done on my name, especially when done in conjunction with the name of my city, county, or state. The intensive phase took approximately nine months. During that time, Internet zone worked to develop and optimize positive content in my search results. Following that, for approximately six months there was a maintenance phase where Internet sound work to ensure that the positive results stayed on top. The result was and is positive search results on my name.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Three people - the owners of the company and one of their SEO professionals.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After 11 months, the search results on my name were all positive. This was a contributing factor in my ability to obtain employment as the Japanese Director of a government agency.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Hayden and Company used monthly reports to demonstrate progress. The monthly reports actually showed me how the progress was being made, which enabled me to trust the work that was being done.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I found their responsiveness, professionalism, and ability to explain search engine optimization to be impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I can say here is that communication during the maintenance stage was minimal, so I did wonder what was happening at times. However, they were only charging me $200 a month at that point. Frankly, I’d rather they spend $200 worth of time it on maintaining the positive search results then creating reports and communicating with me.
