Scope of Work Our project with Aykan focused on building and customising a Sharetribe Flex (ftw-daily) marketplace to launch GoGallivanting — a UK motorhome and campervan rental platform. The scope covered both frontend UI and backend UX development, ensuring the site could handle a professional booking flow while maintaining flexibility for future AI integration and owner-first features. Aykan’s team worked within the Sharetribe environment to give us, as founders, autonomy over backend settings and control over the renter/owner experience, while customising the frontend to reflect our brand identity.  Key Deliverables:
Marketplace Setup & Customisation: Configured Sharetribe Flex (ftw-daily) as the core platform, tailoring it to support the GoGallivanting brand and workflow.
Multi-layered Commission Model: Developed a flexible commission structure that rewards loyalty and gives owners a fairer deal compared to competitors.

Aykan’s project management has been excellent. They consistently delivered items on time and kept the project moving forward with clear communication and regular updates.

There were occasions where they went above and beyond — for example, working late into Friday night, past 11–12 o’clock local time, to ensure our original test site went live on schedule. That level of dedication gave us real confidence in their commitment.

I also felt fully supported by a balanced team: a dedicated project manager coordinating progress, specialist UI and UX developers aligning the frontend with our brand vision, and AI-focused developers helping us lay the groundwork for future proprietary features like GoGuide and GoPilot.

Overall, their responsiveness and willingness to adapt to our needs have been a major factor in keeping the project on track.

If there was one area that required extra focus, it was the Stripe payment integration. Adapting Stripe Connect to our specific business model and market requirements was naturally complex, and Aykan approached it with care, detail, and persistence. While it wasn’t without its challenges, the team remained engaged throughout and worked hard to reach a solution — their determination to see it through is what stood out.

World Like Home, a comprehensive marketplace designed to facilitate connections between service providers and students embarking on their educational journey in France. Platform is dedicated to help in the often-overwhelming process of navigating through various educational responsibilities and managing tasks, especially associated with relocating to a new country. 
Mission of this platform is to alleviate the challenges faced by students by providing a diverse range of services essential for a smooth transition to France. From assistance in finding suitable accommodation to guidance in visa application processes and crafting compelling cover letters, platform offers comprehensive support to students every step of the way. 
Platform offers a multitude of services catering to the diverse needs of students, ensuring that they receive assistance in all aspects of their relocation and educational journey. To maintain transparency and trust between all parties involved, platform facilitates easy esigning of contracts, providing a secure environment for transactions. For quick and efficient assistance, it provides a user-friendly chatbot feature to address queries and provide guidance whenever needed. With a commitment to customer satisfaction, platform offers the flexibility for students to pay only after the service provider accepts their request, ensuring peace of mind and satisfaction. In the rare instance where a student is unable to find a suitable service provider, platform goes the extra mile by finding the right provider. It collects an advance fee for this service and reimburse it if platform cannot fulfill its promise. 
This project’s aim is to build the word like home marketplace on Sharetribe platform. Though the marketplace already in use catering the real-world customers, underlying platform is not robust and not feature rich to feed the business needs. So, its decided to build the application on Sharetribe platform.

I needed help developing my online platform to allow it to be both a normal and reverse marketplace. I also needed to implement changes to the original no-code platform I had developed.

Navinod Technologies LLP(Aykan®) has helped me with the programming of the platform, setting up the reverse marketplace, and altering the host site's base code. The team has implemented the reverse marketplace feature and a specific user sign-up and bidding process, including the creation of a contract and acceptance of work.

The team has delivered a fully functioning MVP of the required platform. We've tested it against my original user requirement specification, and it has met the key features and requirements.

How did Navinod Technologies LLP(Aykan®) perform from a project management standpoint?

Navinod Technologies LLP(Aykan®)'s project management has been good. They were slightly later than the original schedule, but this was predominantly due to me not responding to queries very quickly. The team has kept me informed throughout the process, reminding me when they were outstanding on some information.

They've also clearly talked me through the steps I needed to do, including registering with particular services such as Azure. We primarily communicate via email, but they are very amenable to jumping on a conference call.

The biggest challenge was in implementing a very specific vision around a pre-existing no-code platform and doing so in the simplest way. Navinod Technologies LLP(Aykan®) supported this by holding multiple reviews to ensure they fully understood the essential features that needed to be implemented while advising where "nice to have" features would be complex to implement.

They ensured that all essential sections—such as user profiles, booking systems, review mechanisms, and category layouts—were properly configured to meet the platform’s needs.

This project was executed with consistent communication, including weekly to biweekly updates and multiple calls to clarify and fine-tune key components. Their collaborative and solution-focused approach helped ensure that the final product aligned with both Sharetribe’s capabilities and my business goals.
