Once the team was selected we were all put into a Slack Channel groupchat together. While this was useful I found emailing directly with whoever I needed to speak to was just as effective, and usually the response time was just a few hours if it was the first email of the day. I made it clear that we needed this project done in six weeks and they were able to accomplish it in five. Not once did I feel like they were ever distracted by another full paying client's project, and never did it feel like they had the attitude of like they were doing me a favor, which in reality they were, but still I always felt as a partner with them never beneath them.
