I’m the corporate general manager of Nutri-West, a vitamin manufacturing company based in Douglas, Wyoming.

What challenge were you trying to address with Genetech Solutions?

We were interested in developing a new website and wanted to partner with an agency that could bring us into the “now”. With all of the special circumstances and policies within our company, we really needed someone who could help make our website more functional for our customers, so we hired Genetech.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Genetech gathered information from our existing website to build an entirely new one from scratch in order to bring us up to date. I provided the team with detailed information on how to display our products on the website as we needed to comply with FDA regulations.

One feature that Genetech integrated into our new website was a system that allows users to locate the nearest distributors on a map. By policy, we’re only allowed to sell to distributors, so this feature helps any patient or provider get in touch with any of our 18 US-based and seven foreign-based distributors. The team also built an on-site portal that allows doctors or patients to order directly from us. 

What is the team composition?

I mostly worked with Shamim (COO) and Neelam (Project Manager), but I believe there were 5–6 other people who worked behind the scenes. 

How did you come to work with Genetech Solutions?

The person who built our original site referred us to Genetech. He also recommended other companies, but Genetech was just on the same page as us with every idea. They asked all the right questions and possessed exceptional knowledge, so we decided to work with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $25,000–$50,000 for the development and are still paying them for ongoing site maintenance. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We were first introduced to them in November 2019 and began the project the following month. Due to policy changes and FDA regulations on our end, the website took around six months to complete. To this day, though, Genetech still provides website maintenance services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our old website had maybe 1,200–1,400 user accounts, but the new website that Genetech built now holds over 6,000 accounts. This growth was due, in part, to the new integrated features. 

How did Genetech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was exceptional. We built a great partnership with Genetech. Even with a big time difference between us, they still took care of any issue within 24 hours or less. 

We used to do Zoom calls during development. Now that the website is live, our correspondence is all done through email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Genetech has amazing attention to detail. I’m impressed by their knowledge and ability to improve on any idea that we had. There were a lot of things that we wanted to do, but we didn’t know how to describe it. Their team knew immediately what we were trying to say and brought it into fruition. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Everything that they’ve done has been exceptional. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do not hold back on anything even if you don’t know the intricacies or the language of website development. Even if you speak in layman’s terms, Genetech will know exactly what you’re asking and will help you through the entire process.

We hired Genetech to create and maintain our website. We also refer clients to Gentech for web development services.

We were recommended to Genetech by a trusted source.

We had a kick-off meeting to describe the overhaul we wanted them to make of our website, and then worked step by step with them through many versions until we came up with the version we wanted to use. They now maintain our site ongoing.

We interface with the owner of Gentech, as well as a project manager and multiple designers and developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We saw a higher conversion rate and found that our new website better communicated to prospective clients the services that we provide and the credibility we have in the industry.

We generally use email for communication. They are quick to get things done.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are easy to work with.

QC is an ongoing process - sometimes they catch bugs and sometime we do.

as most of my companies were new in a sector I couldn't give examples so we spoke on tone, direction and goal - lots of talking and Shamim and the team generated designs to help with the direction the designs were not perfect as they were a work in progress but they were quick to understand me and the vision i had

i placed a long time frame on the project as I have used this firm on a monthly basis for my clients projects as well as my own. When you find someone that's this good, you keep them.
