In addition, we were both small businesses, so things could get difficult when both sides had tons of projects. However, they did everything within our budget. More on communication, they were highly responsive. If I sent an email on a workday, they would reply straight away. I always had a response from them as soon as I arrived at the office; they never “ghosted” me. In other words, they were always on top of everything.

For example, Abi checks on me once a week. Whenever I pick up the phone to call them, they always answer, and they respond to my emails within a few minutes. On Easter Sunday, I had a lot of spam emails coming through my address. The same day, I sent Adam and Matt an email, thinking they would get it until tomorrow. One thing they did really well from the start was to get a great handle on our market and our industry so that they could understand where the opportunities that we could take advantage of were. Because of that effort and attention, they were able to show us where some of the holes in our current strategy were as well as to point out some potential strategies that I wasn’t even aware of. For example, we don’t sell bikes online, but especially during COVID-19 there’s been a shortage of everything, so people have been more than willing to drive sometimes 400 miles to pick up a bike. Their team has been critical in helping us take advantage of opportunities to expand our clientele.
