I basically just Slack them instead of walking over to their desks. We have a super tight integration. From a project management standpoint, it’s almost more on me. We use a Jira board, which I manage. We do have a scrum master from their end who does a lot to keep the two-week sprint cycles moving efficiently and help us to improve velocity and reliability.

Beyond that, they use Jira for their day-to-day management. We have bi-weekly phone calls and sprint reviews. The technical lead has been to our office for a week at the kick-off and will be back in a couple weeks for more work, and I went to visit them as well. He’s competent, capable, highly technical, and a pretty good communicator. The scrum master directs the team day-to-day and leads daily stand-ups. We continue conversations through emails, as needed.
