They were not self directed, and would just create exactly what you told them to. Everyone I interacted with at Kode was different. We were collaborators. They'd listen to my vision, and then advise me on the best tools to create that vision. They were very clear with the scope of what I asked ahead of time, were patient as I learned about software development alongside them to be a better partner in the development of this app, and were always very communicative.
