What challenge were you trying to address with Eton Digital?

I had an idea for a website and I needed a vendor to help me bring my idea to life.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed an online platform for me. The platform shows live work availability to qualified healthcare workers or carers. We had to comply with all the GDPR requirements to protect the information of our users, so users can remain anonymous until they agree to work a specific shift. Caregivers appear on the map within their zip code, so local employers can see what is available in their area. After the engagement ends, the carers are rated and all the contact details are removed from the system, but there is still a record that the booking existed.

What is the team composition?

After the initial meeting with Boban (Founder, Eton Digital) I was allocated Stanislava (Project Manager, Eton Digital) and her team of 6-7 people who worked together on my project.

How did you come to work with Eton Digital?

They were highly recommended to me by a friend who had worked with them previously. I met with them and they understood exactly what I was looking for. I was confident they'd give me what needed, so I hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent about £26,000 (approximately $33,600 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in April 2018 and the website went live in October 2018. (They finished most of the work between April and August, but I had to postpone the launch for other reasons).

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Without them, I wouldn't have a platform. People are impressed with the platform, so I don't think it could have been done any better. We were even invited to the palace to pitch our project at an event for young entrepreneurs, where various innovative IT systems can get support. We're hoping to raise some funds to help us grow.

How did Eton Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We had regular meetings where we discussed the plan for the next two weeks and set the priorities. They were very organized and kept me up-to-date with the progress, explaining all the steps to me. Also, they were very responsive and delivered everything on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They listened and paid attention, so they were able to give me valuable suggestions. They were very invested in helping me build a better platform and treated the project like it was their own work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They understood exactly what I needed and suggested ways to improve it.

I am the president and COO of BrainSquared Solutions, a company that provides neuroscience-based executive coaching and leadership development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eton Digital?

Our antiquated website was a poor reflection of our brand and an insufficient resource for our audience. We needed to build a more professional platform that could be used as a tool to communicate with new and existing clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eton Digital was required to build a modular website with a sophisticated design and user-friendly navigation. We also needed the platform to interface with our CRM, social media sites, and other cloud and SAAS services.   

During the first phase, they conducted a needs-assessment through a series of video conferences. Once our preferences were identified, they developed a few custom design concepts and wireframes that displayed its functionality with our CRM. We selected the best design options, and they built the site according to our specifications.

The project manager was our main point of contact, but we also interacted with their creative and technical experts. 

How did you come to work with Eton Digital?

We discovered them through a colleague who had success with them in the past. After viewing their portfolio and meeting their highly professional team, we knew that they would be an excellent fit for our project.

We spent less than $10,000 for their services.

They worked on the website from September 2018 to December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were embarrassed by the condition of our old website, but now we have a significant amount of pride in our online presence. Our customers are enjoying the new look as well. Eton Digital truly captured our brand in the best light; we are now able to secure much larger contracts. Within the first month of launching the new site, we generated more leads than ever before. 

How did Eton Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

It was a pleasure to work with them. Having one point of contact made it easy to move the project along and expedite the launch date. They always kept us informed with frequent status updates. We made a few requests for changes, but they were incredibly patient and accommodating. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

While we could make an endless list of highlights, their patience was the most remarkable. We didn’t have a fully-conceived vision when we started the project, so they allowed us to explore our options at our desired pace. When we finally decided on the web design, they introduced us to creative solutions without condescension.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

As a company that relies on research and communication, Eton Digital is always able to fill their knowledge gaps quickly.

I am the global marketing director at Boss Equity, a merger and acquisition technology company and growth organization. We work in the software tech sector internationally.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eton Digital?

We were conducting a rebrand and needed help with development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Eton Digital recreated our website from scratch and transferred much of the content from the old version. They helped us with a complete rebrand to achieve a new look and feel. The site is for both internal and external use. We had built up quite a large customer base over 15 years and didn’t want to lose that following, so they made to link the original. A variety of features tell users about our company including who we are and our resources. The numerous site pages include an “about us” section, news items, and podcasts.

Eton Digital also developed some secure landing pages where we can host our customer mandates and people who are potential acquirers of both businesses. After they sign an NDA, we send them an invitation with a password to log in and view private information.

Setting up the website from its inception to getting it up and running took about three weeks. Eton Digital completed all the backend work. They liaised with me and our CEO about how we wanted the frontend to appear for our visitors. The suggestions they made throughout that process were very constructive. They were careful to fulfill our exact requests.

What is the team composition?

Marko (Quality Assurance and Project Manager, Eton Digital) was our main point of contact. We worked with between 3–6 people from their team at any given time.

How did you come to work with Eton Digital?

One of my colleagues knows the owner, who is based in the UK. The development team performs the work from their office in Serbia. They have been great all the way through.

How much have you invested in them?

We invested between $40,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project together from October 2016–January 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our engagement has gone very well so far. The redesigned platform is easy to access, and our users enjoy it. We’ve been able to drive all our current and prospective clients to the new site. Despite the volume of content it houses, the new layout makes it simple for users to find whatever they need. 

Eton Digital carried out all the work we requested and even made suggestions for improvement. Now, we have them on a monthly retainer to take care of any bugs or crashes. This arrangement has proven so useful I wish we’d started using it sooner. Checking the entire platform each month helps the team stop any glitches before they become a problem. Half the time, they resolve issues before we even notice them. 

How did Eton Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Eton Digital has been great from a project management perspective. I am responsible for management from our end.  We regularly send them a massive amount of information to process, and they’ve performed very well. 
 Our project manager ensures everything flows smoothly and progresses in a timely fashion. We communicated via email most of the time and used Skype occasionally. Currently, the project management tool we use is Redmine.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Eton Digital has both very strong technical skills and the ability to interpret and produce what we wanted.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We are continually tweaking and evolving the process of how we offer services to our clients. The process will continue to change due to the evolving nature of our work; it’s not a reflection of anything Eton Digital has or hasn’t done.

Make sure you take the time to brainstorm and discuss the project. Eton Digital has great ideas and suggestions to offer.
