I think the one great thing about working with them is, a lot of times, they'd present an idea, and I would push back and say, "I really want it this way." Sometimes, they'd say, "Okay, great. We can do it." Other times, they would push back and say, "It's really going to be a mistake because of X, Y, and Z." They would educate me on something. We had a great working relationship. They balanced well between being flexible, but not being a pushover. They were open to my ideas, but also let me know when they felt strongly that what I was proposing wasn't going to serve our objective.

I think what I liked was, I worked directly with the designer, and she had a great grasp of both design, UI and project management. In other web design firms with whom I've worked, the designer only focused on the design aspect. There's three roles; the project manager that keeps things on track, there's somebody who's got the design vision, and then there's the role of making sure that the user interface, functionality and usability makes sense. I think what was unique about Bop is the chance to work with a professional who could manage all three.

Their communication is incredible. The experience of working with their whole team has been wonderful, and they hit every single deadline. We wanted to have the website live before a pretty major industry event, and they were always available to help make sure that was going to be possible. We have a shared Slack channel, and we are always able to get extremely quick responses. We work together to show the documentation through the Slack channel, and then sometimes we go offline and speak with each other on the phone. The experience of working with them, and having them hit always hit their deadlines was, wonderful from a client perspective. They helped bring out the best in us. Sometimes you are waiting on the other partner to fulfill their obligation, but Braid was always available.

There have been definite improvements in our visual mock-up process, through to the actual delivery of new sites. Compared to my internal developers, Ignitho’s work is well-written and thoroughly-documented. On the first couple of projects, we were finding our feet, and even though many things went well, there was a lack of understanding around how I wanted something to be built. Ignitho assigned an architect to our account on their side in order to resolve this. That person can fully understand our requirements and knows exactly what we’re talking about. They can quickly translate this into their internal systems and processes, and make it work.
