We partnered with Wing Assistant to provide customer service coverage for our non-business hours.  We needed coverage from 4:30 pm to 8:00 am M-F and 24-hour coverage on the weekends.  Our Wing teammates provided this coverage without any interruption to support our basic business functions.  They easily integrated into our tech stack making communication with our Wing teammates seamless.  They did a tremendous job of supporting our customers and prospects throughout the entire partnership.

Within three weeks of onboarding, less than 10% of assigned tasks were completed without my intervention (I had to rewrite or redo roughly 90% of the VA’s communications).
Zero improvement in day-to-day workload relief — instead of reducing my hours, my time spent managing admin work increased by about 25% during the engagement.
Customer and staff issues escalated back to me rather than being resolved by the VA, resulting in no measurable operational progress.
After canceling Wing and hiring a new VA independently, the same SOPs resulted in 100% of tasks being completed accurately and on time within the first week, freeing up approximately 15 hours per week of my time.

Their project management was poor. Despite promising a dedicated customer success manager to oversee my virtual assistant, there was no real supervision or proactive communication. Tasks were frequently delayed or left unfinished, and I had to follow up constantly to get updates.

Items were not delivered on time. In most cases, emails, texts, and administrative tasks had to be rewritten or redone by me, and simple tasks took days instead of hours. Instead of taking work off my plate, I spent additional time managing the VA.

When I raised issues or asked for support, responses were slow and reactive. Overall, their project management did not meet the expectations set during the sales process.

Their marketing is what stands out. Wing’s website looks very polished and professional, and they prominently display high-profile logos (including Harvard’s) which creates the impression you’re dealing with the top VA agency in the world. It’s designed to make you think their assistants are elite and rigorously vetted. In reality, my experience did not match the image their marketing creates, and I now question whether those logos or claims reflect real partnerships or verified credentials.

Wing needs to focus on actually delivering what they promise. That includes:

Verifying the credentials and skill levels of their virtual assistants before assigning them to clients.
Providing genuine supervision and accountability from the so-called “customer success manager.”
Offering a real performance guarantee or refund policy when services don’t meet expectations.
Being transparent about the qualifications of their assistants and the nature of their partnerships or logos featured on their website.
Ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time so clients aren’t forced to redo the work themselves.
If Wing implemented these changes, they could build the trust their marketing implies.
