Solvo allows us to interview multiple candidates and manage the interviews.Once we hired the candidate we are able to scale at a pace we can afford. It is the most cost efficient way to hire and scale and manage growth costs in a high growth business. High quality choice of candidates was a major point for us and Solvo keeps delivering.

Once we chose the candidate there has been amazing support for her through solvo IT team and HR. Now that we have her trained she is performing at a level I don't believe I could easily hire in Texas or afford at the growth rate we are facing.

I am the CEO of a technology, marketing, lead generation and consulting company serving the legal industry and other small businesses.

I hired staff members for call center services, lead nurturing, appointment setting, executive and other administrative support.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

I was introduced by trusted individuals in my personal network who highly recommended Solvo Global. I was impressed by their professionalism and well conceived processes. Their prices were reasonable and the quality of the candidates that they sourced for me prior to me paying any money really impressed me.

The team at Solvo was responsible for reporting marketing analytics, performing consumer-facing sales, setting appointments, messaging with consumers and many other administrative functions.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I have worked with two administrative employees who handle front like work on a day-to-day basis. I also have daily interaction with a supervisor who has helped me to develop SOP's for my employee's processes and provides me with weekly KPIs. I continue to hand off more and more responsibility.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

My employees are extremely proactive and are constantly looking for a better way to do things. Every process is now documented, something I did not have prior to working with Solvo.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We constantly communicate using Skype. I speak with my dedicated staff in Colombia as much as I speak with my local staff. The communication is seamless.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Solvo sourced candidates based on my specifications, prescreened them and arranged for me to interview and hand select my team. Solvo mapped out my business processes to create a well-documented SOP and provides me with access to KPI dashboards. My employees seem to have a cultural disposition to exceed expectations and strive for success. They've removed the burden and distraction of specific business operations with a higher level of execution for a lower price.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I've been very pleased with their services.

Debt Cleanse Group Legal Services is a company headquartered out of Chicago. We offer access to legal services for low-income people who are struggling with any number of debt related issues.

The company was started by George Newberry, who is the CEO and founder of a collection of companies focused on home ownership and helping people in lower economic rungs with debt and other wealth-related problems.

Our primary focus at Debt Cleanse is using the Federal Debt Collections Practices Act to stop harassment, threats, and other tactics debt collectors might be using to go after these people, and then help the client start building a plan to get out of the debt as well.

What challenge were you trying to address with Solvo Global?

We’re a very small organization, and so when some of our new marketing teammates wanted to see some changes in our messaging and functionality, we knew we were going to need help implementing that feedback. Our internal development team was focused on our services app, so we needed to bring on a team with PHP, HTML, and Angular skills to work on our website as well.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They handled the building out of significant aspects of our website. That included HTML5 coding for the frontend as well as some PHP database structures behind it. From there, they helped us to integrate the website with the app itself so that people can come online and enroll themselves through the website directly.

They also integrated the site with HubSpot for our CRM, email campaigns, and other marketing outreach. Once that was all tied together, they made sure that the other structures and integrations we needed were in place, such as LinkTrust for our affiliate management system, Recurly for subscription management services, and Five9 for our call center.

What is the team composition?

We are only utilizing two members of their team at this point but are planning on ramping that up as we continue.

How did you come to work with Solvo Global?

We were introduced to them by a consultant advisor who works with our company. They introduced our team, and it was just clear that they were a good fit for our specific need. They had the skills we needed, and on top of that were affordable and flexible enough to work with us as a relatively lean organization.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in May 2020 and is still currently ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have hard metrics that their work has translated into for us, but I primarily rely on the feedback of our lead developer who has been working with them most directly, and our director of marketing, who has guided the action items that we’ve given them.

Both individuals are extremely pleased, not only with their overall responsiveness, but also with how quickly they are able to provide solutions for just about anything we run into, whether it’s a bug or a preference from our team.

As president and COO, I know I would hear if there was a lot of back and forth and difficulties with the communication because I’ve worked on other projects where that was the case. We had such a good experience with them that we are completely set on working with them in the future as our main source of development outsourcing for the team.

How did Solvo Global perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team has integrated into our Asana board, which has really helped to give us more project control in determining tasks and priorities as we go forward. We use Slack to message back and forth on a more daily level, and there have been absolutely zero problems with that communication.

Henderson (Global Business Development Manager) always makes sure I know what’s going on, and the developers funnel everything up to our teammates managing the project, so we always feel on top of our timelines and progress toward specific milestones.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I would point to two specific elements of our work with them, one of which is strictly related to cost. They didn’t require me to pay for a project manager on their end to get started, which was absolutely critical in our ability to start small and grow our involvement without the overhead burden.

The other aspect that we really appreciate is how much effort they put into going out to recruit people with the skillsets that we’re looking for. They provide candidates for us to interview that have already been highly vetted, so that process went very smoothly and really made sure that we had a good match. It demonstrated a high degree of competence before we even really started.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t say that I’ve found anything to complain about so far whatsoever.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Talk to a few people who have worked with their team in the past and see what worked well for them. I think the fact that we’re using Slack and Asana has made it really easy to collaborate with them. Otherwise, I really don’t think you have anything to worry about with them.

I’m the owner CEO of Optimus Steel USA. We’re one of the largest wire rod manufacturers and distributors in the United States.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We originally hired Solvo for a small dispatching and logistics pilot. After a few weeks, we began to add more and more positions. Currently, we have over 160 people working in positions like IT, data entry, dispatchers, accountants, customer services, inbound and outbound sales, virtual assistants, and accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Typically, we’ll request a position, and they provide the service of finding and bringing on the right resource.

We work with over 160 members of their team, across different departments and levels.

We heard about Solvo through a friend of ours. After seeing their presentation, we decided to give them an opportunity. 

After the pilot, I was really impressed with the quality of their work, their attitude, and their professionalism.

We’ve spent between $1,000,000–$5,000,000. The number is directly in line with the amount of positions we’ve filled.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since 2015.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve had nothing but the best results with Solvo. Using Solvo, we’ve been able to save about $2,100,000 per year. In 2019, we saved $3,000,000. The benefits increase year over year, and they’ve really been an instrument of our success. The more we grow, the more positions we fill, and the better the results. They’re really part of our company. Our growth is their growth. 

How did Solvo Global perform from a project management standpoint?

We were assigned project managers, as well as supervisors and trainers. That allowed us to scale very quickly and effectively. It was a really quick learning curve; they caught on to our systems, processes, and culture right away.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m really impressed with Solvo’s ability to execute at such a high level. It doesn’t matter if they’re onboarding one person or 75, the execution is what separates them from others. Overall, their quality, flexibility, and dedication is key. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of. It’s been nothing but greatness with Solvo.

I first spoke with them in December 2019, but we didn’t start working with them until February 2020 when we started to develop a plan for engagement. Our program with them went live in April.

Our company was established in August 1986, and over that time the company has experienced ebb and flows like many other companies. One primary change to our industry is the shrinking margins and the steps we need to take to combat this tightening of the bottom line. One way is to outsource our staffing expense, this is where Salvo has stepped in and has made a significant positive impact to our bottom line without sacrificing the quality of our service.

What were your goals for this project?

Simple really, reduce our staffing costs without sacrificing our overall quality of service.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We started with another company out of India, though the cost base was very good, the quality of the service provided was sub-par, it didn't fil our two primary needs. We were introduced to Salvo by an existing customer and have been very impressed with the quality of their personal and of course the cost savings. It is imperative that our CSR support be bi-lingual given a major portion of our clientele speak Spanish. Our staff at Salvo are all very well educated, intelligent, articulate and bi-lingual. We have been very impressed with our association with Salvo

Describe the project in detail.

We utilize the Salvo staff as our first line of communication with our agency base and our insureds. The Salvo staff are trained to manage the vast majority of the intact calls, such as policy status, policy changes, payments, etc. If there is a call that needs additional assistance, the Salvo CSR simply transfer the call to our onsite supervisor to address.

What was the team composition?

We have our key contact at Salvo that manages our account. This individual met with us, we discussed our needs and qualifications and that began the interview process. The initial interviews were conducted by our Salvo Lead, from there they offered the best candidates that met our criteria. We then interviewed each of the candidates over the phone. We now have contracted with Salvo for 100% of pour initial intact CSR staff.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Fantastic results. Look, we are not reinventing the wheel here, what we needed is a way to reduce our expenses without sacrificing the ability to offer quality service to our client base. Since we have contracted with Salvo we have seen a significant reduction in our overall staffing expense, which has brought us back to an acceptable net margin, one we can work with and grow with. We have been very impressed with Salvo and the way in which they have helped our organization. Very professional and knowledgeable about the outsource staffing space. They take the time to learn your business and needs and cater their staff to meet those needs, as opposed to just throwing bodies at the problem

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent, zero drop off! Sure initially we had a few more calls transferring internally to our on-site CSR leads, but as the Salvo staff became more experienced (over a very short time), those calls dropped off substantially. Our supervisors are able to monitor the call intact staff at Salvo since they work in our box and on our phones. So we monitor the call volume, call times, etc and we have seen no drop off in overall production standards.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What impresses us most about Salvo is the quality of the employees and the detail to service the management offered and continues to offer our company.

Right now, none. Very pleased
