xFive created a website for our new luxury cruise company. Through the website, the client can see the itineraries and book directly. The process included a discovery phase in which we did branding, design, and a prototype of our website.

Having Xfive team enabled us to hit all our deadlines and KPIs this year. The quality of work was incredible. Always a 5-star. The team is of high caliber professionals. What's most important, they are people of such high integrity and they basically became like family. I trust them with my work explicitly.

They have Sr PMs on their team. We have worked with the same PM during the entire year and she was incredible, smart, responsive, extremely helpful.

Our new site needed to be cut down. We needed information from the previous website to be consolidated and needed the site to be easier to use.

We searched for web designers and found projects that Xfive completed for our campus.

Our engagement started with us speaking with a local representative. We had several meetings to organize the new look for the website — the project stalled due to the loss of a project manager. Many of us were writing to Xfive about our vision, which made the engagement cloudy and uncoordinated. During the summer, a faculty member stepped in, and everything moved forward.

What was the team composition?

In the beginning, we had a project manager who left the group. The faculty member worked directly with a developer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After a rocky period, results began moving into an optimistic direction. We received positive comments on the look of the site. All updates have been straightforward. Xfive continues providing maintenance support.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Progress went as we hoped, and we’re pleased with the results. We’re happy with the responsiveness of the developer and their quick turnaround for changes. Having a dedicated developer that took our input and needs into account was appreciated.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It was essential to have a responsive and skilled designer dedicated to us.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We chose Xfive because of their previous engagements with the school, but we found that they had no templates for site development. This was surprising considering all of the academic sites shared standard info and topics. We thought the process would be quicker, thinking they had a basic layout. There should be on-site basic training if possible. There are some behind the scenes issues that aren’t straightforward. Their team takes care of that, but it would be nice if we had some knowledge.

I’m the deputy registrar at NAPEG. We license and regulate professional engineers, professional geoscientists, and firms practicing in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut in order to serve and protect the interests of the public.

We wanted the new website to have an updated and appealing look. We also needed it to be user-friendly so that NAPEG staff is able to easily add or revise content on the backend.

Xfive acquired Webvanta, our previous web-hosting service provider. We’d received good service from Webvanta so we stayed with them for our new website needs.

Xfive always responded to questions and requests very quickly. Considering our team has limited computer skills, they’re excellent at explaining things regarding our new platform in a way we can understand.
