Kaitlin was very adaptable. If I would request certain changes she would make it happen. After every calling day she would let me know how it had gone - although I did not receive any reports every time.

The enthousiasm and how they empathise with you. It was a tough start in the campaign, but when we got a first positive response Kaitlin was super enthousiastic and just happy which gave me great confidence.

Reporting could be slightly better either at the end of the month or end of a calling day. What has been done, who has been spoken to, how do we feel it is going, is it the right focus group, etc. They the ones speaking with the people so if you feel that they are not responding, maybe better to straight away say lets focus elsewhere.

Very friendly, professional and diligent. Great attitude - took on feedback well and improved. Took the time to understand our proposition. I heard recordings of some of the calls - Connor represents us well by being friendly and affable on calls.

Just continued improvement on the calls - increased fluency and confidence to make us sound more credible. But we've recently extended our relationship so there's time to improve. Our sales team are planning to deliver a demo with will help with further understanding of what we do.

The job entails calling thousands of leads that we have amassed through our marketing efforts, who have not been responsive to our more indirect marketing efforts. The objective was to make touch with our large list of potential leads and book them in for an in-person demo. A secondary objective was to contact our customers and leads to invite them to free events which we hold, but it has been impractical to regularly contact due to our small team.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• While booking demos was the preferred outcome, one of our big metrics was just discovering whether cold calling was an effective and cost-effective form of marketing to our leads. We also wanted to drastically increase the attendance of the free events that we attend and host, to maximise the number of in-person meetings we can get from each event.

The team were really swift at getting back to us to set up the project and sort out any of the assets and resources they needed to start the project. Connor, our assigned sales guy, has been great at keeping in touch with us whenever a question or opportunity arrives. He's also been great at giving us weekly reports and fitting in with our own internal processes when handling leads.

The company has a philosophy that they want to sound and feel like they're working directly with your company and not feel like an outsourced office. They fully achieve this and it's the value which caught our eye in the first place. Everyone is extremely personable and willing to do what they need to do to fit in with your business' ethos.

Not at all, aside from any of the usual hiccups that come with running a complex project like this, there's nothing Paragon could fix to improve their service, it's top notch.

I am the International Sales Director for a Learning Management System provider.

For what projects/services did your company hire Paragon Sales Solutions?

We wanted to increase the number of quality leads for our sales team. We had not tried outbound sales before and so we wanted to partner with a company who had expertise in this area.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We had a limited budget and many of the vendors that we met with required 3 month minimum commitments at a high monthly rate. Paragon was able to work with us to put a package together that met our budgetary needs.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

During our initial meeting we discussed our product in detail as well as our needs. We had a list of companies that we wanted to target, but we did not have any contact information, names, titles etc. Paragon offered internal contact generation services to go through our list to turn it into a quality call list.

As we weren't willing to commit to a long term agreement, they were able to work with us to have a dedicated telemarketing executive assigned to our account to make calls 4 hours a day. This allowed us to effectively have a full month of calling without exceeding our budget. We also set up an email account on our end for Hollie, the telemarketing executive assigned to our account, so that she could send follow up emails to those who requested more information to help qualify leads prior to them being sent to us.

What was the team composition?

I worked directly with the Managing Director of Paragon, Rob, as well as with Hollie, the telemarketing executive.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thus far, we have closed 50% of the opportunities that were generated by Paragon. We are actively working a few more of those opportunities and expect to have one or two more close before the end of the year.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication with Paragon has been fantastic. Hollie was always checking in with me to update me on progress and additional information that she felt was needed for the meetings that she scheduled for us. We had a weekly meeting scheduled to discuss the progress of the project, but I often would cancel the meeting so that I could focus on other priorities as Hollie was in contact so often that I felt I had all the information that I needed prior to the scheduled call.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The flexibility of the company was probably the thing that stood out the most. Of the 5 different vendors that I spoke with, they were the only ones who were able to put a plan in place that fit my timing and budget. The others either just told me they couldn't be of service, or gave me options with strings attached. Secondly, I was very impressed by the feedback from prospects about Hollie. I had several of them tell me that they don't usually talk to telemarketers, but that Hollie had a very disarming approach. They effectively conveyed the information the prospects needed to hear to book a meeting to learn more.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

There were a couple of small miscommunications early on, but Rob addressed the issues quickly.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Having evaluated a number of providers, Paragon were selected primarily because of Rob. He was really involved and engaged from the very first minute and continues to be that way 3/4 months later. The broader team are really good at what they do. Steph was assigned to our campaign and is just great at what she does.

I’m the owner of Pencil and Coffee, a digital marketing agency.

What challenge were you trying to address with Paragon Sales Solutions?

I wasn’t a fan of calling businesses up to offer them our services, so I hired Paragon to provide that service to our company. Our goal was to reach out to a bigger audience. They provided an alternative way of contacting new clients and potential leads through phone calls, essentially building a relationship with them over the phone. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I initially spoke to Rob (Managing Director) to inquire about their services and pricing. After that, we discussed the services we wanted to focus on and how they’d provide those services. Then, we gave them all the information they needed when they spoke to potential clients. This way, they could answer any technical questions that a client might ask. We also discussed how they’d move forward and what they’d do if a customer was interested in our services. 

Essentially, Paragon’s goal was to build a relationship with our potential clients. They’d offer a free SEO report to the client, and then they’d follow up to know the customer’s feedback and thoughts on the report. If the client wanted to move forward with a deal, then the Paragon team would set up a Calendly meeting with me and the client. In such a case, they’d send me an email informing me who the customer was, what they said, and what feedback was given. 

Every four weeks, I jumped on a call with Paragon to see how our campaigns were doing. In those calls, we also decided what sectors and areas to target next. Once we were happy with what we’d discussed, I’d let them go to do their work. 

What is the team composition?

I mainly worked with one person from their team. 

How did you come to work with Paragon Sales Solutions?

I’d known Rob for a couple of years. We’d built a good relationship because we used to meet and get in touch quite often through networking events. As a result, I already knew of Paragon’s services prior to hiring them; I knew that they were good and professional in what they did. 

On top of that, I’d been in their offices a few times before I took their services up so I could see what their environment was like. In other words, I trusted Rob and knew that his team was good, so we started the partnership. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around £890 (approximately $1,200 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership lasted from May–June 2021. We’ve put it on hold because we need to catch up with all the leads we have and follow up with the people we’ve contacted.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

In terms of clients responding to our SEO reports, the results were good. Around 550 leads went through, and there were only 10–20 people who didn’t want our reports. Besides them, practically everybody else wanted what we offered, so it was great. After that, three meetings were booked with me.

I didn’t generate immediate sales from these, but the point wasn’t to get quick sales — not everybody needed SEO services right away or they may not have the budget yet. It was more about building relationships with those people and giving them a report on their website. Paragon accomplished this. 

How did Paragon Sales Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was perfect. I couldn’t complain about anything on that side of the engagement. To communicate, we used phone calls for urgent matters. For non-urgent situations, we used emails. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Paragon’s sales knowledge was great. They clearly knew what they were doing in terms of building relationships with potential leads. Moreover, all the members of their team were professional and qualified. 

Apart from that, they were great at building relationships with direct customers like me. I never felt awkward about working with them; everything was easygoing. More importantly, they took the time to listen to me and my needs before offering their services. They were truly nice, and I could get along with everybody on their team. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could try to book more meetings with me and potential clients. Other than that, nothing else could’ve been improved because they did everything that I expected them to do.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t treat the time and money that you spend with Paragon as a cost. Instead, treat them as an investment. They’re not for a short-term gain since you’re building relationships with potential clients — it takes time to nurture such relationships. Moreover, don’t spend all your budget in one go. Rather, invest it wisely and consistently. Your partnership with Paragon should be about investing time and money to ensure the development of your relationships with customers over time.

We had considered multiple sales training experts but because of price point and also their ability to sell themselves, we felt impressed to hire Paragon Sales Solutions.

Rob came in to provide trainings through real life example and industry knowledge. He provided a wonderful presentation via Laptop. He provided sales training books, scripts for us to work from and a follow up call sometime in the near future to ensure that it all works well and implementation is smooth.
