Our goal for working with Hyperlink InfoSystem was mostly meeting my desired time to market for our product. We were hiring employees to get the product to a production ready state, but were facing financial constraints. We began to look externally and wanted somebody who had experience with the type of development we were looking for.

We put a bid up for the project and we used online bidding sources. Hyperlink InfoSystem was one of the bidders. We talked to different people and, at that point, we didn’t have any information about them, but they were able to win us over with some of the other projects they had done. So, that’s why we choose them.

Our project with Hyperlink InfoSystem falls in the bucket of $10,000 to $50,000.

Is there anything unique or special about Hyperlink InfoSystem that really makes them stand out compared to other business partners?

The team at Hyperlink InfoSystem was very hardworking and very truthful. I’m not saying others are not but, considering the challenges of working cross-continent and cross-time zones, they were very responsive and understanding of our priorities. I was pleasantly surprised by that because my general impression has been that when you work with an outsource firm on another continent, the challenges can be great. 

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

I would suggest a better appropriation of resources. At one point, I needed an additional Java developer to come up to speed and help augment my team. However, Hyperlink InfoSystem resources were 100 percent booked. It took them a few weeks to get another resource up to speed for me.

The Web development company I was working with recommended I worked with Hyperlink InfoSystem. I briefly looked into a few other app development companies, but I felt with the price and turnaround time that I should go with Hyperlink.

The development for both versions of my app cost between $1,000 and $10,000.

I was pleased with Hyperlink InfoSystem's responsiveness and their willingness to meet deadlines. They were very punctual. They were very responsive.

I’m the president of Buddha Technologies operating out of Florida. We provide mobile application development services to end customers. We’ve been focusing more recently on medical mobile applications.

What was your goal for working with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

We started the venture about a year and a half ago. We hired another outsourced development company from India, which helped us to get started, but they did not scale very well. The code was not written in a clean format. It wasn’t very easy for our developers to maintain the code and add new features. I switched to someone within the U.S. and it was even worse. We found Hyperlink InfoSystem, and we discussed the project at hand. Harnil Oza, the owner of Hyperlink InfoSystem, assured me we wouldn’t encounter the same issues with them.

Please describe the scope of their work.

When we interviewed Hyperlink InfoSystem they committed to modifying the code to a much cleaner format within four weeks, and they met that timeline. They gave good updates from a project management standpoint, and they were very engaged from the development standpoint. Within one month, we were able to update the app in the App Store. Since then, we’ve added more features to the app utilizing Hyperlink InfoSystem. We’ve been in constant talks of other projects that are coming down our pipe.

I don’t remember how we found Hyperlink InfoSystem exactly. Once we came across them, we were able to interview their team to see if they had the competency and met our requirements as far as quality of work that can be delivered.

Are you satisfied with their performance?

I didn’t expect much, but they’ve blown me away with their level of commitment and their quality of service. The quality of code they delivered is bar none – the best I’ve seen provided to me thus far. Their developers absolutely know what they’re doing. They’re a great team. They deserve to be successful in this space. There are very few outsourced companies that provide the level of service that they do. They deserve to have a chance in the U.S. market. They do fantastic work.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

I can’t think of anything. Any time we’ve encountered a challenge, they are very quick to respond. They work during the weekend if they need to. They have very good processes in place to make sure there are checks and balances so we don’t go down the wrong path. Coming from bad experiences their team is a breath of fresh air. I wouldn’t change my engagement with them at all.

I’m the founder and CEO of Sagebin.com. We’re a movie streaming app similar to Netflix, but different in that we create a banking system for movies. You load up your movies and send them to us. We’ll hold onto your movies, and then we’ll give you digital versions of them. You’re then able to go on our website and watch your movies or download our apps on iOS, Android, or Roku and watch your movies on your mobile device.

Hyperlink InfoSystem developed a beta version of our app for Android, and then we asked them to do iOS. Chromecast came out right at the beginning of our partnership, Hyperlink InfoSystem was willing to take on the additional project. They developed our apps so now the iOS and Android apps stream to Chromecast. The project would have been a new experience for any developer, so it was great that they were willing to take that on.

What was your process for selecting Hyperlink InfoSystem with which to work?

I found Hyperlink InfoSystem through a couple of online searches. They offered a great service at a reasonable price. From their website, I could tell they were a professional team. We were initially going to use someone local in Utah, but because the development time they needed and their higher cost, we decided to utilize Hyperlink InfoSystem.

Can you give a sense of the size of the initiative in dollar terms or a personnel work-hour figure?

This is ongoing work, but at this point has cost less than $50,000 total.

Hyperlink InfoSystem delivered the requirements on time and at a good price. I rely on them. They’re great. It’s a great team to have on your side. They’re growing with the trends. They offered more services than we needed. They’re willing to take on new projects and get it done well.

We hired the developer to build an educational mobile app for both iOS and Android platforms. The purpose of the app is to help users improve their handwriting through interactive features such as daily challenges, tracing exercises, gamification (leaderboards, rewards, badges), and competitive tournaments.

The requested scope included:

Tracing functionality with stroke recognition
Daily and weekly challenge systems
Gamification logic (point tracking, badge achievements, rewards)
Leaderboard integration
Tournament creation and tracking
User profile management
Basic settings and admin controls

While the developer completed the basic structure and core functionality, the design/UI implementation was limited and basic, and even small changes required significant time and effort. Communication was a challenge throughout the process — unless requests were documented and re-sent via email (often with their management CC’d), we rarely received timely updates or follow-through. Sometimes it took multiple follow-ups just to get a response or simple features to be developed.

Our lack of experience in the app development field was unfortunately taken advantage of.

Although the app is technically functional, some promised features were not delivered, and the final product did not meet our expectations in terms of quality, responsiveness, or completeness. In some cases, the developer refused to implement features unless they were explicitly written in the original documentation — even when they were clearly discussed during the negotioations phase. Despite raising these issues with their management, there was little accountability. 

We paid in full, but the app still contains unresolved bugs and outstanding issues that were never fixed. The overall timeline was much longer than anticipated, and the process was frustrating. While we appreciate that they eventually delivered a working product, the experience was far from smooth and unfortunately did not match the level of professionalism we expected.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The app was successfully launched and is currently available on both iOS and Android platforms. However, the project was completed approximately six months later than the original timeline, which impacted our launch schedule and marketing plans.

In terms of performance, we have seen a moderate number of downloads, primarily driven by our own marketing campaigns rather than any momentum generated by the app itself. Although the app is functional, some critical features such as user verification remain broken, and despite repeated follow-ups, this issue has not been resolved for several months.

While publishing the app to the stores and getting it to a usable state was a milestone, the overall delivery did not meet expectations. The delays, unresolved bugs, and lack of accountability have prevented any meaningful business growth from this version of the product. As a result, we have since moved on to a new development partner who is more reliable and responsive, and we are seeing much better progress and communication.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Their developer did not meet the original timeline — the project was delayed by approximately six months beyond the expected delivery date. Their project management process was weak, and we had to take the initiative to document every task discussed in meetings and follow up by email; otherwise, the work was often not done.

They primarily used WhatsApp and email for communication, with no dedicated project management tools, which made tracking progress and accountability more difficult. Communication was generally clear, but their response time was very slow, and we often needed to send multiple reminders or escalate by CC’ing their management to get any action.

Overall, the lack of structure in their project management significantly impacted delivery timelines and our confidence in their ability to manage the project efficiently.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Hyperlink InfoSystem could have done differently?

Yes, there are several areas where improvement is needed. First and foremost, clearer communication and honesty with clients is crucial. Some features that were promised during early discussions were never delivered, and as first-time app creators, we felt that our lack of technical experience was taken advantage of instead of being supported.

The team seemed focused on just delivering the project, rather than truly understanding our vision or long-term goals. There was little effort to guide us, and we often had to hire outside consultants just to fill in the gaps in communication, design quality, and technical advice.

Milestone delivery was often delayed, with even simple features taking one to two weeks, and there was minimal testing on their end — we had to test most things ourselves. Weekly support was also not enough, especially when urgent fixes or feedback were needed.

If we were to work with them again, we would expect:

A team that guides and supports the client, especially if they’re new to app development.
Faster delivery of basic tasks and updates.
Better quality design and flexibility for small post-launch changes.
Clear and proactive communication about what’s possible and what’s not.
A more client-focused approach, where they work with the client’s goals in mind rather than just finishing a contract.

I perform home inspections. I decided to invest in my business and create my own software. This project is developing software for home inspection businesses to perform daily tasks from scheduling, collecting payments, signing agreements, and generating reports for clients. I have been working on this with HLIS over 4 years now.

What challenge were you trying to address?
Creating software that automates some of my business tasks and with better UI/UX I could work faster and increase business. The software is also subscription based for other businesses to utilize.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement and team dynamic?
 HLIS was hired to design and create a web-based software and mobile app. The project was started more than 4 years ago. My original review mentioned how many delays their team faced. Initially, the design aspect was done very well. When it came to applying code to design, they have taken much much longer than was necessary. As far as people go, I enjoy working with the team. They have good work ethic and have mostly said “yes” to issues needing to be addressed. However, to be transparent and honest with my updated review, they have taken many many months to resolve issues that I believe should have either not been issues or should have been resolved much faster. The best example I can give is HLIS gave me a hard deadline of May 18, 2024 (this was given to me as a threat after I expressed disappointment at the slow rate at which the team was making any progress). I paid in-full and expected to be finished by then. I was assured my app and website would be completed quickly. In December 2024 I left my original 1-star review. I left that review after feeling the financial burden and stresses of many months passing without a finished app or website. Today is March 17, 2025. With limited testing of the latest update, it appears the team has resolved the major data loss issue with the app. The website and backend have not been finished yet. While many months have passed and issues were repeatedly not resolved in the app, the website and backend have been neglected. I would expect more progress overall on multiple facets of the software at once to be more efficient with time.

Is the team capable? It appears so, however, at a very costly slow pace. It is not just the cost of the software development, it is also the cost of insurance, AWS, SMS, emails, web, etc. that add up every month while I wait for the software to be completed that I have long-ago paid HLIS to develop.
Are the people on my team pleasant to work with? yes. They are good people.

Biggest problem I have with HLIS? If someone on the team is not capable or not experienced enough to handle an issue, be transparent about their abilities and get help from someone who is able or experienced. I should not have waited as long as I have for the results I’ve received.

4 stars? These are human beings and I believe they are doing their best. When they get something right, it makes my life less stressful. When they take many months to resolve a major issue and make me spend so much of my limited time doing testing that constantly reveals the same issues, it has been extremely stressful. I think the people at HLIS are 5-star people. I think the product I have right now is a 3.5-star product that will hopefully soon be a 5-star product. I hope it is finished soon.

Still in progress. App testing almost complete. Issues with backend and website and both are incomplete.

How did your relationship with your partner evolve?
The design period went really well. Implementing SRS and applying code was a painful process that I am still dealing with. I have explained major issues repeatedly only to see them reappear in every update for the last year. Only recently did the team start to resolve the major issues.
In what ways can they improve?
They need to understand the abilities of their teammates and assign projects appropriately to teams that match the needs of the client. I have a hunch HLIS has tiers of teams; A, B, C, etc. and I was assigned a B or C team, but my application really required an A team. As the last 10 months are proof of.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
Hold HLIS accountable for your timeline and milestones. Do not agree to go live if they have not delivered a working product. Trust your gut. If the team cannot explain the issue, they probably do not understand what it is.

Graphic design. As far as progress, that's about the only thing they made progress on.

It is very tricky working with this company. They are constantly trying to get you to sign off on milestones so they can charge you more money along the way to fix their problems. They are eager to make things seem simple, and quick to find ways to charge you for making changes once they've convinced you your milestone was met.

They were initially very responsive, and when it came to graphic design and layout of my project, I was happy with the work they were doing. When it came to functionality and actually writing code that works, my project team is not able to deliver a functional product.

I have been working on this project for more than three years with the same team. For more than one year I have been having the same issues over and over and over and my team has not been able to resolve a majority of these issues. At this point, I question the competency or ability of the individuals on my team. The last two attempts I made to contact the person in charge of my project, they have not responded. I've paid Hyperlink Infosystem in full, but they haven't delivered a functioning app or website. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I have asked repeatedly for them to finish my project And months go by and we are still having all the same issues we are having more than a year ago. I created this mobile application to use with my own business. I have spent all of my own money and I still do not have a functioning app.  I experienced total data loss when using the application. Photos and data that has been input into the app goes completely missing as if it is being deleted while I test the app. I've been having the same issue for more than a year. Responsiveness of functionality throughout the app is very poor. There are so many functions that have unacceptable delayed responsiveness. I could go on and on. For three years, I've been telling my clients I'm working on my own software to make things better and the terrible service I received from HLIS makes me look like a fool.

The project was supposed to take 3.5 months to develop with another 2 to 3 weeks from wire frame. That ended up taking 2.5 months.  Then  it has taken 12 additional months to not even complete milestone 3. We have had nothing but problems.  Their dev team is amateur.  It takes them 5 to 10 times for things to be fixed, even when explained thoroughly.  They drag things out constantly, costing us ridiculous amounts of money monthly.

No they did not.  Still haven't delivered our milestone 3 contractual work and they are refusing to complete until I pay the rest of the amount for milestone 3 when the work isn't even done.

Functioning software was the outcome we were measuring to determine success of the project, they were confident they could construct the solution in 8 weeks, this turned out to be far from the case.

The project management was sub-par.  We needed to constantly ask for updates on deliverables, and there was no transparent way to track how hours were used. The team frequently had to speak in different languages to get on the same page for our daily meetings. Upon using google translate once to assess what was being said, it became clear our project manager was not preparing effectively for the daily meetings.  We felt taken advantage of as we were paying for a full team of agile developers and maybe getting 25% of that.

Completed with corrections ongoing. The managers and team were very friendly. They project did run late and had coding issues, but in the end, the CEO stepped in personally and met with us to addressed the issues. He offered to add more developers at his cost to get any issues corrected and to get the project on-time. This is a ongoing process, but this was impressive that he took these actions, where other would not have.

Our experience with them at this point is good, mainly due to the fact our concerns and issues are being resolved. I will update this review at a later point once 100% completion it done.

Part of the initial development team did not fully understand parts of the project and its complexity. This issue has been addressed, additional developers were offered at no cost to correct any errors, and our issues are getting corrected.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our experience with Hyperlinkinfosystems was disappointing. The project took significantly longer than originally quoted. From the start, it seemed they underestimated the complexity of the website. The developers who began the project were not the same ones who finished it, and the level of expertise was overstated. 

Instead of senior developers, we ended up with upper entry to mid-level talent. Features would work temporarily and then break. It became clear they did not fully understand the project’s requirements.

They outsourced work to sub-contractors who delivered subpar results. The React developers who initially worked on the project produced very poor code. Once we exceeded the fixed-cost agreement, progress slowed down further, even as we were paying nearly $10,000 per month. 

After being three months behind schedule, we hired a new CTO, SEO advisor, and front-end developers. Within two weeks of reviewing the work, they reported severe issues: the code was of very low quality, had security risks, and the entire backend needed to be rebuilt. Shockingly, passwords were stored in plain text, and there were spelling errors in both the front and back end.

Despite spending over $50,000 with Hyperlink, the new team uncovered numerous SEO mistakes, leading to a 65% drop in our website traffic. Additionally, we discovered errors in the front end and API. Now, it will cost us another $20,000 to fix and rebuild the website, as well as correct our SEO, resulting in significant time lost.

We found that many of the developers had email addresses not associated with the company, leading us to believe they were sub-contractors. Despite paying $10,000 per month for dedicated developers, progress was very slow, and one developer would often break what another had just fixed.

Hyperlink InfoSystem has helped us create a mobile app, as well as a website and an admin dashboard. Initially, I just mentioned that I wanted to create an app to provide end-to-end services to users who had trouble getting medical services or a doctor's appointment.

After the initial discussion with Hyperlink InfoSystem, they came up with a detailed roadmap on how they would like to proceed with the project. They also provided me with some detailed documentation, where they had taken my idea, divided it into parts, and added details on how they would address the project.

Once they provided me with the details, Hyperlink InfoSystem started the development process. Development projects aren't always 100% accurate on the first try, so their team has also helped me update their work to improve the experience on the app and the website. We've also identified a few features we need to include, so their team has accepted my change requests to fulfill my requirements.

When this project arose, I wasn't aware of the technology that could be used, so Hyperlink InfoSystem has also helped me define that as well. For the iOS app, they've used Swift as the main development language, and for the Android app, they've used Kotlin.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around October 2023, and the project is ongoing. Around 90% of the work has been completed, so we're now finalizing the project. The project will be completed around mid-May 2024. After that, we'll be ready to launch. Still, once we launch, we'll continue working with them on SEO and app store optimization to help me get my app ranking high on the App Store and Google Play.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

All of Hyperlink InfoSystem's teammates have given their best and achieved what I wanted. The whole team has done a great job. Even after completing the scope, I know that their team will help me with anything I need to include. Overall, they're very helpful.

How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?

Hyperlink InfoSystem is very flexible around my change requests. I receive updates very frequently and in a timely manner from the project manager. Twice per week, we have meetings to catch up. From the start, they promised a six-month timeline to complete the project, and I'm now getting results within that same timeframe, so I'm very happy in that regard.

As for communication, we mainly communicate via email, but we meet over Zoom as well when required. Whenever I need to say something to them, I can arrange a Zoom meeting, and they're always available for me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Hyperlink InfoSystem is passionate about their work. They believe in what they say and deliver projects in a timely manner and with good quality.
