We were assigned a development team between 4-6 people. 2 developers were changed out and upgraded to higher level devs mid-project to addressed issues we had.

What's the status of this engagement?

Completed with corrections ongoing. The managers and team were very friendly. They project did run late and had coding issues, but in the end, the CEO stepped in personally and met with us to addressed the issues. He offered to add more developers at his cost to get any issues corrected and to get the project on-time. This is a ongoing process, but this was impressive that he took these actions, where other would not have.

How did your relationship with your partner evolve?

Our experience with them at this point is good, mainly due to the fact our concerns and issues are being resolved. I will update this review at a later point once 100% completion it done.

In what ways can they improve?

Part of the initial development team did not fully understand parts of the project and its complexity. This issue has been addressed, additional developers were offered at no cost to correct any errors, and our issues are getting corrected.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our experience with Hyperlinkinfosystems was disappointing. The project took significantly longer than originally quoted. From the start, it seemed they underestimated the complexity of the website. The developers who began the project were not the same ones who finished it, and the level of expertise was overstated. 

Instead of senior developers, we ended up with upper entry to mid-level talent. Features would work temporarily and then break. It became clear they did not fully understand the project’s requirements.

They outsourced work to sub-contractors who delivered subpar results. The React developers who initially worked on the project produced very poor code. Once we exceeded the fixed-cost agreement, progress slowed down further, even as we were paying nearly $10,000 per month. 

After being three months behind schedule, we hired a new CTO, SEO advisor, and front-end developers. Within two weeks of reviewing the work, they reported severe issues: the code was of very low quality, had security risks, and the entire backend needed to be rebuilt. Shockingly, passwords were stored in plain text, and there were spelling errors in both the front and back end.

Despite spending over $50,000 with Hyperlink, the new team uncovered numerous SEO mistakes, leading to a 65% drop in our website traffic. Additionally, we discovered errors in the front end and API. Now, it will cost us another $20,000 to fix and rebuild the website, as well as correct our SEO, resulting in significant time lost.

The managers and team were very friendly, but from the time the sales quote was made, I feel there was a disconnect in the complexity of the project

Friendly, but way to many issues and RED FLAGS I wish I had seen earlier.

The skill level of the developers was subpar. After hiring a new team and bringing on an in-house CTO with coding expertise, we discovered how poorly much of the work had been done. We found that many of the developers had email addresses not associated with the company, leading us to believe they were sub-contractors. Despite paying $10,000 per month for dedicated developers, progress was very slow, and one developer would often break what another had just fixed.

After almost three months of deliberation, Hyperlink InfoSystem produced a schematic depicting the functionality of the system. We are testing it with some of our vendors right now.

We are planning to launch this platform in July 2024. This platform will help patients to find their doctors, they can book lab at door steps, also chat online and comments online for their needs. What was the scope of their involvement?

We shared our Android app requirements with Hyperlink InfoSystem, which included three beta phases. The app consisted of an interface for students and web interfaces for college users and professors. The team also created an admin panel according to the provided specifications. I then had to scale up the requirements, and we started working on the same process. Hyperlink InfoSystem used Python to develop the app's frontend for Android and created an admin panel in the backend.

In the app, students enrolled and purchased activities and courses, and then they started working on related articles and practical aspects with the automated generation of certificates and reports. Hyperlink InfoSystem provided dedicated resources to code our application. The team also created two web interfaces needed for other franchise holders.

Hyperlink InfoSystem's project was successful. The impact of the Android development project conducted by Hyperlink InfoSystem was necessary, and their implementation model was highly appreciated. We had priorities on the software part because otherwise, the team's work reach would've been monotonous, and the technical work wouldn't been appreciated. 

Hyperlink InfoSystem implemented features according to requirements and corrected a couple of impediments we encountered during development after I highlighted the issues. The team delivered all the app edits I requested, and we were satisfied with the project's results. 

How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?

Hyperlink InfoSystem's delivery time was acceptable because there was a delay on my end in sending the requirement document. Considering the project was developed from scratch, the timeline was reasonable, and I understood that development projects take time. We extended the project timeline as per my requirements. We mostly communicated with the team via Skype and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by Hyperlink InfoSystem's economic rates compared to other development companies. Additionally, the team delivered a user-friendly app. Other developers we've worked with were adamant about accepting changes or modifications. However, Hyperlink InfoSystem took it as a challenge and implemented the changes I requested. Overall, the team was agile and economical.

I'd suggest Hyperlink InfoSystem to integrate an AI segment or team to work with other technologies. I think it would be helpful for their business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hyperlink InfoSystem provides mobile app development services for our business. We've started the process by discussing the project with them, including our desire for Android and iOS platforms to cover most of the market. The team is also providing me with the app's UI/UX design, development, and deployment.

Regarding features, the platform allows users to receive notifications and a list of the ingredients we use, mention if they have some sort of allergies, and make online payments for their packages. I've also asked them to optimize the platform for future SEO marketing efforts.

We're currently focusing on the Stripe payment gateways and their customization based on our services. After that, we'll continue with the integration and deployment of the product based on the initial feedback and reviews.

Nonetheless, Hyperlink InfoSystem's development timeline is great, and the team is good at taking follow-ups and giving timely updates on the process, for which we're grateful. We're glad that the team has been completing everything on their side before we go off on our trips without missing a deadline.

Regarding communication, we use Jira, where the developers show me the product's demos, and the tech leads are in continuous discussions with me.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Android Apps, iOS Apps, Website, and admin panel included in the scope of work. There are two types of apps available for both platform: Customer and Rider. Customers can place order using the app with pick up and drop off location, and riders can accept orders to deliver at customer's prefer drop off location. 

With the use of admin panel, our team can track all order details and provide support to the customers. Rider details are also verified using admin panel only. In this phase, customers can just get rough estimated time of delivery and not able to track real time location for their orders. We were planning various features to implement it from long time and finally we are almost starting on second phase for this project with Hyperlink Infosystem. Happy to collaborate with them again.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In initial days, we manage all orders manually over call and connect riders with message and phone only. Using these system make the process simply faster and more reliable. We delivered 650+ orders in a month of holiday season which is not possible without these apps.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They never disappoint me throughout the process. We generally do meetings in every 15 days to show the progress and understand the next tasks. Expected delivery time was 5 months and it is delayed by one month. But this don't affect my business as I am happy with the delivery and already planned to launch according the progress of development. 

Their team responds each every message or email sent from us very quickly. We generally communicated through WhatsApp and despite of different time zone they get us back as soon as possible.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their project management style impressed me a lot. I worked with the team 9 members from Hyperlink Infosystem that includes Project Manager, Android and iPhone app developers, backend developers, UI/UX, and testers. All of them worked really hard to make the whole process smooth and transparent for us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Hyperlink InfoSystem could have done differently?

From my experience with Hyperlink Infosystem, I cannot suggest any major points of improvement at this point. I am happy and plan to work with them again for the next phase of our project soon.
