I’m the co-founder and CEO of a tech startup. We’re building a social network that focuses on connecting New York on a deeper level. It helps people find their communities across the city and share experiences with their friends.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink InfoSystem?
We were trying to find people to develop our platform because we weren't technically savvy. We just knew how to work on some design aspects, but we didn’t know anything about backend programming.
Therefore, we needed a team that could get the job done at an affordable price. We didn’t want to hire multiple freelancers; it implied less efficiency, higher costs, and more time constraints. We also didn’t want to hire a development team in the US because it would’ve been very expensive. Hiring overseas was the best option for our budget.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
In the beginning, we had a clear idea of how we wanted the platform to look and operate. We did a lot of the UX/UI and gave Hyperlink InfoSystem our prototypes and documents detailing all the features we wanted. Then, they completed everything they could. If there were any technicalities that needed alternative solutions, they assisted us in finding the best option and best ways to implement it. Overall, they took whatever we showed them and created it with their development team.
If we’d traditionally built the product, we would’ve started with the basics, put it out there, got feedback, and implemented it and the data we received. However, we didn’t build it, so we had to go through an alternative route, working with Hyperlink InfoSystem on features and things we wanted to improve or take away. Since we still want to ensure the product is the best for our users, we’ll have to go through the process of building and getting feedback.
Our platform is currently just iOS-based. They have backend engineers assigned to the databases. Also, frontend engineers are doing a lot of designing and Swift and Xcode programming to ensure that our UX/UI is appropriately done.
What is the team composition?
Much of our development time took place when the COVID-19 pandemic was starting to take off, so they were working from home. Therefore, we never got a good read on how many people were on our project; we probably interacted with 6–7 of their people. In general, we worked closely with their project manager and one of their iOS developers.
How did you come to work with Hyperlink InfoSystem?
Hyperlink InfoSytem had the best reviews. We used Clutch to get some feedback and spoke with them directly to get a few of our questions answered. After all our research, they were the right option for our project at an affordable price.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $30,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started conversations in 2019 but started working together by September 2020. We plan to continue working with them until we find our fit in the market.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our users are really impressed. We’re a new company, but our app seems mature. It makes people think that we’ve had this platform running for years. Hyperlink InfoSytems has done an excellent job building a proper infrastructure for the platform. We get a lot of praise for how functional it is and how well it works, which was the biggest thing for us.
We don’t have any metrics at the moment because we’ve been showing the products in the market just to get feedback. However, people say they don’t see the same issues with other new platforms, such as constant bug crashes. Also, we have proper UX flow, and many users say that it's a neat app.
How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?
Due to the time difference, I try to be as prompt as possible and make myself available for any questions they may have. Once we explain things, they understand them pretty well and can deliver on what we want.
A lot of our communication is through calls and emails. We usually communicate over Skype.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The best part of working with them has been the app's quality. We’re not worried about problems that typically occur in app development projects. Hyperlink InfoSystem gives us a sense of security, and if problems arise, they find solutions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only thing I can suggest is that they become a little more diligent with testing. It might be a bit more related to my project because it’s probably one of the longest ongoing projects so far.
Through the development process, there are times when we'll get a build and have a problem occur from the previous build that we just had, so it'll take months to get from one bill to the next. Overall, I think it’s an issue more related to my platform. Other than that, I'm pretty sure they don’t take as long for other platforms.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
For any company building something for you, a lot of the ownership is on you. Do your due diligence to make sure that the platform or app is being built the way you want it. You have to put in the work to lay out the foundation for the platform.
Once you have a clear idea of what you want to bring to the market, that’s when you should communicate with Hyperlink InfoSystem and see what they can do for you. Treat the interaction with them transactionally so that everything is clear on both sides and things are done efficiently. Also, come with a clear idea and as much information as possible to maximize your time and decrease your costs.
Finally, be prompt with your communication with Hyperlink InfoSystem if you decide to work with them. If you don’t have an in-house team, I advise people to go with them because they deliver good quality.

What was the scope of their involvement?
To begin, we provided Hyperlink with a clear concept of what we needed. Our in-house team came up with rough sketches of the app, which we then turned over to Hyperlink for further design and implementation.
They built the native application for iOS and Android devices and also made our website responsive for phone viewing. The backend of the site was built with Python, and they’ll be hosting and maintaining the site after launch. All testing was done internally on their end.
Hyperlink is now helping us with social media marketing in order to attract users to our platform. They’re developing an SEO strategy and will be providing branding services on top of creating blogs and promotions.

We’ve worked with around 12–14 front- and backend developers, design architects, and database management specialists. I mostly interface with the project manager and team leaders.

They shouldn’t assume that everybody is technically knowledgeable about app development. When they spoke of APIs, I had no idea what that was. It would be good for them to gauge how tech-savvy their client is first and educate them if needed.
Also, the iOS version of the app can only be reviewed on my device, so if I need someone else to do it, I will also need to hand them my phone or iPad. They might need to see to that as well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Ask them to give you an overview of the process and seek a list of what you need to provide in order for them to complete the app.

We needed helping creating an app.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Hyperlink InfoSystem reviewed our needs and we established a contract of what we wanted to achieve. After that, we went through a design stage and then moved onto development. Hyperlink’s team was generous enough to let us go back and change some aspects of the design at no extra cost. They took everything we organized and included it in the app’s code, including all our 3rd-party integrations, like our payment tool.
The main feature of the application is a scanning functionality where users can scan a certain area. It was very hard to implement, but we had strong connections between our respective development teams. There are also e-commerce functionalities and product integrations.
The apps are for iOS and Android and built in Java.
What is the team composition?
Deep (Team Lead) was our project manager; he took me through a process. There was also an iOS resource, an Android resource, and a QA tester. There have been 4–5 people in total.
How did you come to work with Hyperlink InfoSystem?
I found them on Clutch, where they were highly ranked. The work on their site was good, and we had a strong connection when we started talking. It seemed like I could trust them.

We’ve spent around $22,000.

The project has been ongoing since June 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There were a couple of design flaws, but the development was very good. We didn’t define some of the design details well enough on our side to start.
How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?
They took charge of the project, which meant that I didn’t have to be too involved, freeing me up to focus on my responsibilities. Hyperlink’s team keeps me updated and sends items to me for approval; and if I don’t like them then they’ll do it again.
The project took six months where we though it would take 2–3, but the delays were caused by approvals and technology on our side. Hyperlink has been responsive and helpful throughout the project.
Every time I needed to talk to the development team or anyone specific, I received a fast response. I had a lot of questions about my business that weren’t directly related to the project, but to my business at large, and they would always jump on a Zoom call to answer them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s hard to say as this was my first time building an app, but I would choose Hyperlink again based on my trust in them and their professionalism.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Every company has room to evolve a bit, but there’s nothing specific to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communication is key; it’s most important to be direct and specific about what you want to achieve.

I am the founder of retail channel, which provides the best shopping experience for people in the USA. We have multiple vendors registered that offer their products on our platform. Since 2017, we have been working in this industry and have delivered more than 1 Million orders. We are mostly operating into B2B and not B2C.

We want to develop Salesforce integrated ecommerce ERP & app to make our process easier and perform all operations after order in a hassle-free way. Earlier, we had a website for users to purchase products. To improve user experience and reach more users to grow our business, we got an idea to develop an app that will boost our sales.
We need the Salesforce commerce cloud to improve the shopping experience of our users and track all order details from multiple channels in one platform. We have also used Salesforce Pardot for email automation.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I have discussed the idea with my team to find the best app development service providers to build the solutions for our requirements. One of my associates came with 5 firms based in India and the USA. We analyzed their presence in the industry and reviewed their client experience on Clutch, Google, and other leading reviews and rating platforms.
Our team also reached all of them to discuss our requirements, budget, and timeframe. After almost 15 days of research, we have finalized Hyperlink InfoSystem as our development partner for this project. They understand our requirements and suggest some of our solution's major improvements that work well for us.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We started with an analysis of our requirements, the Business Analyst team helped us with the Scope of Work and all other documents. They discussed with our team to understand our requirements for the first stage. Then they prepared a plan to build the app and suggested technologies, and some changes in our requirements perform our operations more easily. After the first stage, their design team helped us with UI/UX and the prototype of our app. After multiple revisions, the development stage is finally started.
More than 16 people are working on our requirement to build Android & iOS native apps, Salesforce and a backend admin panel. Once development is done, their QA team tested our apps multiple times to get bug-free solutions. The project manager helped us throughout the process and provided quick solutions for our queries.

We have hired one project manager, two iOS developers, two Android developers, one Backend developer, four Salesforce developers, two UI/UX designers, and QA testers etc.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We are still waiting for the outcome. But so far, we are very satisfied with the deliverables.

Our key contact point is project manager throughout the process. We coordinate with him and get updates on process regularly over Skype call weekly. They use Zoho project management tool to manage all process and discuss queries.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Project completed on the given deadline and with a given budget. We are very satisfied with the quality of the delivered solution. Support from Project Manager and Salesperson is very impressive for us all time.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
At the start of development, we had some issues with the process that took more time than expected. But management guided me and my team with the flow, and everything worked smoothly. I had experiences with software companies in past and usually software projects are delayed. What matters is the quality at the end.

We selected the vendor after Evaluating almost 15 Vendors from Clutch.co We selected Hyperlink Infosystem because they really had a good knowledge in Mobile apps they already had developed many many Beauty and Cosmetics app before.

We had a team of IOS Developers, Android Developers, Project managers QA as well one support manager. We started with the designing of the entire product and once that was finalized me and my team approved the designed and development on every stage. We really didnt had any difficulty with them, Only delay was that the project assignment took almost 2 weeks after the contract was signed, We are overall very happy with the teams output.

iOS Developers ,Android Developers Project managers, QA Engineers , Server Admin. I think there was a team of 8-10 developers including designers on the project.

The project really went on great and we have no issues as of now.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Team coordination was really great .We were regularly updated about the progress of project through weekly Skype meetings as well as Zoho Project management software in which both teams were on the same page. They are really professional to work with. They really have a good understanding about the work that they're doing.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were really very very quick to understand the requirements and deliver the solutions. We could easily communicate directly through whats app or skype whenever required, When you work with any offshore company its difficult to work because of the time zones but in our case i feel we never had any sort of issues with that.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I think the testing team was a little bit slow but thats okay if the end product is really good.

There was a team of 14 Developers working including project managers, App Developers, Web Developers, Backend Developers, Azure architect, QA Business Analyst. We really enjoyed working with them .

With in 3 months we got our website completed and it took almost 6 months to develop the app. We were very satisfied with the outcome of the project. Still we are working on adding more features with the company. We really like the App design as well as web it looks very professional.

They used to Communicate in Zoho project management tool, They were very responsive and on time, We use to communicate more on whats app and Skype for quick communication.

I think they are really good maybe the time difference but i feel that's not in their hands.
