- Online Review
A network of health clinics hired Hyperlink InfoSystem to develop a mobile application to centralize their content. Hyperlink InfoSystem's team followed the client's vision and direction during development.
Although the client gave Hyperlink InfoSystem's team a second chance after initial deliverable deadlines went unmet, they were unable to establish a productive relationship. Hyperlink InfoSystem couldn't resolve the challenges that arose and required more project oversight than the client expected.
This review includes the vendor's response.

Project Summary
Hyperlink InfoSystem developed a wellness company’s mobile app. The app would allow the client to post content such as videos and articles, and it was supposed to have automated notifications.
Feedback Summary
Hyperlink InfoSystem missed multiple deadlines and ultimately failed to deliver the app. There were misunderstandings about the project’s scope due to communication failures. The client was unsatisfied with the vendor’s wireframes and found issues with their honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Marketing and Innovation Consultant for The Wellness Way. I help hire companies to take on projects for us.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Hyperlink InfoSystem, and what were your goals?
We wanted to develop a mobile app that allows us to post our daily content like LIVE videos, articles, and more. It was supposed to have automated notifications when various actions happen like content being posted.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Clutch had Hyperlink rated in the top for Mobile App development. I also did some research and they seemed legitimate.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had an initial discovery phase. We decided to pay with milestones hit. After the design phase, which was well over 5 months, we went into the development phase. The first wireframes were disappointing. We had many back and forths.
We were told that our automated notifications were not going to be automated and had to be done manually. We never got a finished product that we wanted to this day.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I mainly communicated with a project manager named Uresh.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
This review is to serve as a warning to anyone considering this company for their app development. We are in tens of thousands of dollars in payments, and this company has missed every deadline they set. We were given a completion date of September of 2021, and we are in February 2022 and still have no app.
They missed multiple deadlines and finally we had hope when the Director of the company committed to and assured us a completion date of January 28, 2022… unfortunately his assurances were hollow. There are 2 main pieces of the app we deemed absolutely necessary – one feature was scoped incorrectly and will not work as we need, and the other has yet to even be tested (days after our assured completion date).
At first, we were very understanding, as we know technology can be challenging, however, this entire project has turned into disappointment. Please be wary and learn from our experience – we wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project manager has been unclear, and despite our repeated communication on ways to make the app build faster (i.e. calling pages from our website rather than building and integrating technologies), we would discover we were being ignored and a tremendous amount of time was being spent building the very things we already worked with them to simplify.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
There wasn't anything impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Communication, product development, honesty, integrity, and much more!
Star Ratings
Overall rating: 0.5 We have never experienced a more disappointing relationship ever! STAY FAR AWAY!
Quality: 0.5 We cannot stress the fact of how bad the prototype was. We don't even have a final product yet that we asked for.
Cost: 0.5 The cost was not even worth it. We don't even have the final product we asked for!
Schedule: 0.5 At times, they would ignore us for weeks. They constantly lie and tell us that they would have deadline for something but never stick to it.
Willing to refer: 0.5 We would never recommend this company because of our horrible experience.
Company Responses
The vendor responded on March 2, 2022.
As a development company we always make sure that we provide best service to every client. We provided this particular client all documents SRS everything at our end but the client wanted to reduce the contract price after the contract was signed.
The reason was that our company was delayed just 15 days in completing the project, some times there are technical challenges during development we get stuck in an issue and things doesn’t work as planned. We conveyed this to the client and provided them proof of the delay. Client didn’t agreed anything and threatened to leave a negative review if we don’t give the contract price reduction from $26,000 to $16,000.
We took multiple calls but they wanted to reduce the contract by $10,000. We offered the client $10,000 worth of free support as a gesture but the client refused and wanted contract price reduction which we denied. Client threaten us to post a review if we don’t give them discounts. This is not how we work as a company
Even after posting this review the client wants us to give positive review on the basis of price reduction which we are still denying. We are happy In leaving this review as negative and we would not entertain such unethical clients who will threaten us nor entertain such request in future.
Clutch.co is a good platform but sometimes it creates bigger Issues with the service provider as well when they aren’t in fault.
