What challenge were you trying to address with Callbox?

We were looking for them to be an alternative to hiring full-time sales representatives, as well as looking to ramp up our account-based marketing strategies.

What was the scope of their involvement?

One of the services I offer is lead generation, so by partnering with Callbox, I was able to scale my team and deliver a larger number of set appointments per month. First, I provided a list of criteria, and then they went away to create a tailored plan (scripts, etc.), which I approved. After that, I stared receiving work immediately.

What is the team composition?

Katrina, an account manager, is our main point of contact. I mostly associate with her. Of course, inside the team there’s a number of folks that help assist us, including a number of cold callers that will be scheduling appointments. I’m not in touch with those resources but they support the initiative well.

How did you come to work with Callbox?

I was doing some research and came across their LinkedIn page, and one of their people actually messaged me. I enjoyed their account-based marketing approach to the project because it aligned with what I was trying to accomplish: building a multi-channel touchpoint that targets customers on LinkedIn for emailing and cold calling. I wanted to understand how they went about their process.

I spoke with them a number of times before moving forward with them, dating back a year and a half before this engagement began.

How much have you invested with them?

We’re going to spend around $25,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since April 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Even though we just started a few days ago, we’re going to have a mix of very specialized metrics and very basic metrics, depending on the end-client I’m leveraging them for.

How did Callbox perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re fairly responsive. Located in the US in California, they’re only three hours behind me. I speak to them over Zoom and email. It doesn’t take more than five minutes for them to respond.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of their major advantages is that they’re a unique service. If you’re a small company and need to build your sales team or marketing department, then they’re a great team. Filling the role of three positions —head of marketing, and head of business development, and head of sales development — they are a more effective avenue than hiring three full-staff employees.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not yet. They do everything but close the business; you have to pick it up off your doorstep and handle that part.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

This would depend on the persons business model, but say if you’re a small company with 10–20 employees and are looking for a way to ramp us sales. They’re a good, solid choice.

I researched online and Callbox had good reviews, so we took a shot at scheduling a demo and the Callbox team was very organized and professional.

1. The project involved the Callbox team getting up-to-speed on our products and they developed a variety of communications.
2. Callbox reaches out to leads and sets up appointments for our sales team to follow up on.
3. The Callbox team communicates closely with our sales team to determine how an appointment went (for rescheduling purposes) and if there are any areas of improvement.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In our first month, we have scheduled 16 appointments with our sales team.

The workflow has been effective and straight forward; the Callbox team promptly answers questions and makes requested revisions to creatives or process.

They are very professional, quick to respond and on-point.

They were referred to me by my team; they did an internet research and found 5–10 provider options. After a few interviews, we decided to give them a try.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent $60,000 with them so far, and we plan to double our budget for them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

They’re doing great at providing my salespeople with great leads and appointments with the audience we’re going after.

How did Callbox perform from a project management standpoint?

We constantly communicate with them through calls and Google Meets, and they also send daily emails to keep us updated with the process. In addition to that, we use HubSpot to work with their generated leads.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Project management has been transparent, and everyone on their team does a great job of being on top of things. Also, their communication and ability to deliver on their promises are outstanding features of their work — I’m very pleased with that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — they’re everything I hoped for, and my team is happy to work with them.

Give them a try — they’re good at what they do.

I’m the enterprise account director for a SaaS platform that offers multilingual web conferencing solutions for online meetings and events.

We needed help in finding potential customers that need our product. We had a small sales team, so we wanted to extend our reach outward.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Callbox is providing us with lead generation services. They identify opportunities to bring our services to the right kind of customers. First, they’ve built profiles around target personas across multiple countries. After that, they’ve taken different approaches in contacting those pre-leads, including phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn prospecting. 

Callbox prepares introductions for us, and they connect leads to our sales team for a discovery meeting. Our services are targeted at medium to large enterprises. Specifically, we work with organizations that have some form of international business or need to include interpretation in their business activities. 

Additionally, Callbox provides us with call center services. They’ve also helped us do paid media marketing to support our lead generation efforts — they run ads on Google and LinkedIn. They help us create and publish creative assets for the ads. Lastly, they’ve developed our landing page.

Callbox reached out to me on LinkedIn, and their message came at the right time since I had a need and budget for their service. The dynamic of their messaging, value proposition, and our introduction call were all quite good, so I hired them.

We started working together in August 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Callbox has done an excellent job identifying potential leads. The number of leads they’ve been able to connect and build relationships on LinkedIn is quite good. 

Overall, Callbox’s leads are interested in our product. The leads have been pre-qualified in such a way that we have good information before our sales call.

Both our prospects and sales team have been comfortable working with Callbox. They do an excellent job preparing prospects for product demonstrations. They conduct themselves professionally, and the quality of their services is constant. It has been a good experience working with them.

We’re reaching out to multiple countries that have diverse requirements and approaches. Going after leads in Singapore, Japan, and Vietnam requires different tactics — Callbox can provide the necessary support for that.

How did Callbox perform from a project management standpoint?

Callbox is good at project management. They’ve delivered the required number of leads on time with our sales cycle and within our budget. We communicate through emails and weekly calls to review performance. We use HubSpot as our CRM.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Callbox’s professionalism, consistency, and reliability are impressive. They’re willing to work around our schedule, which sometimes requires them to go up at very odd hours. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can improve on their reporting and activity analysis. There’s so much data available that they can do a deeper analysis of trends and lead profiles. They can feed such insight into our team instead of just giving us their call and email metrics.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go in with a clear understanding of your expectations and goals. Be ready to provide details of exactly what you want. Callbox will take those instructions and follow them to the teeth. If your instructions are not detailed, you’re not going to get as good an output as you would if you prepared.

The workflow is effective and the team supporting us is responsive. They are able to react and get things done efficiently. As an example, from webinar brief to building the landing page to getting the registration, everything flows efficiently.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their responsiveness and their ability to get things done are impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Given the tough working condition, we are experiencing, receiving their weekly status report could be delayed for a day or two but not a major issue with our access to the CRM systems.

We engaged Callbox to help us execute our account-based marketing campaigns.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online and through referrals for an outsourced ABM partner. We were also approached by several agencies offering similar services. After speaking with several, we decided to do our pilot with Callbox due to their cohesive and comprehensive approach and range of services, and especially for our alignment on focusing on business outcomes and not just the process or the number of activities done.

The project is an account-based marketing campaign aimed at securing SQLs and MQLs for a next-generation cloud-delivered network and security solution. The market coverage is Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It involves a multi-touch, multi-channel approach to engage the relevant contacts for the targeted accounts.

Our team worked closely with Callbox on content development for each platform, conducted product training and mock customer engagements before launching the campaign. We held weekly cadences during campaign development and during the campaign to ensure quick course correction if needed.

Callbox assigned a team of 6 for this engagement. A Client Success Manager, a Project Manager, a Research lead, a Quality Assurance and Analytics lead, a Digital Marketing Executive, and a Sales Development Representative for outreach.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The campaign is in its early stages, but we have already seen improvements in the quality of the prospects that are flowing into our sales pipeline vs. our previous campaigns. Lead to opportunity conversion is very satisfactory and the amount of time saved for our Account Managers doing the cold outreach and follow up has been valuable. This allows our Account Managers to focus on high-intent or in-market accounts that have higher possibility for conversion.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The working relationship and process is very good. There is strong alignment in our objectives, methodologies, and workflows. Hence, the execution went smoothly, and corrective actions and improvements are done quickly as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Callbox feels like an extension of our own team. We observe a genuine commitment to meeting business objectives and achieving operational excellence not just within their own team but with our extended team in Marketing and Sales. Our Client Success Manager, Edelyn, and our Project Manager, Rey, feel like my own internal managers and team leads. They've shown great passion to learn about our business, customers, and processes. They align with us accordingly while applying their own expertise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The Digital Marketing component of their multi-channel approach needs much improvement. The platforms are very limited, the creatives are average, and there is insufficient rigor in measuring and optimizing this pillar to significantly contribute to the campaign. Callbox still very much relies on its outbound channels.

We shortlisted 3 leads generation companies, Callbox was the most proactive in follow-ups and was able to customize a proposal that suits our needs. They come recommended by friends in the industry.

The process is very systematic.

1. Step 1 We start off with a kick off meeting, introductions were done
2. Step 2 was product training to bring the team up to speed on the USP as well as offerings.
3. Step 3 was a mock-up of the scripts and strategy.
4. Step 4 was a rehearsal and practise for the calling agent.
5. Step 5 was a feedback session to adjust anything we feel that requires adjustments.
6. Step 6 was to bring the campaign live.

we have a sales account manager, campaign manager, editor, lead agents I believe there are 4-5 resources actively working on the campaign.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

A campaign like this requires time to be able to show results. there is always hits and misses. however, we are after quality than quantity. This callbox team readjusted to get better hit rates in the middle of the campaign. we had better success rates in terms of appointment settings after our first month.

We have weekly hurdles to align and share feedback on progress. We're satisfied with their workflow.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I need to commend the team on the hard-work and dedication they put into the campaign.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

they can be priced slighty cheaper for smaller companies. As well as allowing more flexible payment schemes, e.g. monthly billing vs one time upfront.

We searched for quite a few ABM companies and decided on Callbox because this was their speciality and focus.

We have an account manager, Edelyn, and we will hope onto a call every week to iron out any issues we may have, and they also take the opportunity to let me know what is working and what isn't, and we work closely to iterate this program week on week to make it better. The feedback process is something that is quite enjoyable and allows me to have a transparent view.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the service?

We've gotten some good opportunities in this project within a span of 1.5 months. Edelyn & Rey is also super quick in responding, which is something I appreciate.

We have weekly emails and weekly calls, on top of that, monthly reports. We primarily use Whatsapp and email to communicate.

The ramp up was a lot faster than expected, they understood our APIs a lot quicker than the other agency that we previously used. They are quick to respond and delivers what we request.

Only for the outbound calls to take note of the time they call ANZ as ANZ prospects can be quite particular.

We have gained around 2000 contacts from around 1000 companies during this period. Converted around 15 meetings every month.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The campaign is still going on til Oct. Preliminarily we have around 20 sales appointment. I estimated the on-target hit rate is around 40%- 50% and for those that are on target, they are still under nurturing.

The average sales appointment per week is around 2 or so. Wish can get more. One major challenge faced is Callbox do not have a Putonghua speaking agent and in China and Taiwan there should be many IoT SI/Solution providers which fall under our target

The workflow primarily was fine.

I am impressed with their campaign delivery and campaign management experience. Pretty structured

As above, they should enhance the tele-agent profile mix to include Putonghua speaking personnel and should have agents to take shifts to cover non Asian time zone regions
