How This Influencer List Was Populated

To honor Women's History Month, we've curated a list of 15 influential women in B2B sales. We created this list by analyzing over 100 female thought leaders across the web and social media. Influencers are chosen based on LinkedIn following and active online presence, with all featured influencers posting at least once or twice a week on LinkedIn. Our list is ranked alphabetically by first name.

Top 15 Women in B2B Sales to Follow in 2025

1. Alyssa Merwin, VP of Global Sales Solutions at LinkedIn

Alyssa Merwin, VP of Global Sales Solutions at LinkedIn

While some kids dream of becoming astronauts or veterinarians, Alyssa Merwin discovered early on that sales was her true calling. At only 10 years old, she started selling hand-made greeting cards. Soon, she realized that she loved everything about being an entrepreneur — from marketing her finger-painted creations to packaging them.

After college, Merwin started her career as a sales associate at CEB. She quickly rose through the ranks, taking on new leadership roles and racking up millions in sales. In 2011, she made the leap to LinkedIn.

Since 2022, Merwin has served as LinkedIn’s Vice President of Global Sales Solutions. In this role, she leads a $1 billion business that includes two platforms: the Sales Navigator and Sales Insights. This software helps sales teams build strong client relationships and collect data.

Follow Merwin on LinkedIn for meditations on parenting and industry trends. She also shares updates about LinkedIn’s software and thought pieces — plus the occasional travel photo. If you’re using LinkedIn’s sales tools, Merwin will help you stay in the loop.

2. Anita Nielsen, Founder and President of LDK Advisory Serviced

With over 20 years of experience, Anita Nielsen has earned the title of “B2B Sales Sensei.” But —  like all the influencers on this list —  she wasn’t always a sales guru. She started her career as a customer account manager at Getronics, an information and communication technology company. This entry-level role prepared her for later positions at companies like The SAVO Group.

In 2014, Nielsen quit her corporate job and founded LDK Advisory Services. She believed that too many sales trainers set sellers up for failure by peddling one-size-fits-all solutions. Nielsen offers an alternative to this approach with highly customizable activities. She strives to understand each client’s challenges and develops tailored solutions.

Nielsen is also the author of "Beat the Bots: How Your Humanity Can Future-Proof Your Tech Sales Career." Check out her LinkedIn for insightful discussions about artificial intelligence and other industry trends. She also shares helpful resources, such as events and articles, for women in sales.

Here, she discovered a passion for promoting diversity in the workplace. For example, she became the President of the Black Employee Network at Databricks and joined Blacsana, an employee resource group at Asana.

In 2022, these interests inspired her to create Tech Me As I Am, a podcast series. It empowers professionals to practice self-love and bring their authentic selves into the workplace.
