I feel like the professionally designed website legitimizes my business. I'm still working on utilizing metrics to grow the traffic.

In the beginning, I knew nothing about website development. It would have been great to see some simple explanation of what was going to happen. It would have also been great to know what exactly was needed (ie. hosting, domain name, etc.) to run the website and what costs that incurs before we get to that stage.

The deciding factor for me was that it was absolutely free (other than having to purchase hosting - which needs to be done with any good website) as well as how great they were at communicating why they build websites for free.

The project took about a month total. After I set up my hosting, they did everything including installing plugins and my theme. They walked me through every step as well as let me know about any issues that came up.

My website is up, though I am still working on it. I feel excited about creating the content on it now that I don't have to do the set up myself.

It was great. They were super communicative. I probably heard from them every two to four days about updates.

What I found most impressive was the communication and their knowledge of web design and development.

They were pretty great in all of the areas that were important to me. As someone who has already built a website, it was tough not to have my hands in everything. But that is also the "price" of outsourcing.

Sven was excellent with keeping me up to date with the progress of the website. The website is beautiful and responsive. The only thing I have to do is fill in the template with my creative work, everything else major was done for me.

The workflow was great because Sven was excellent with communication which is what can make or break any working relationship.

The fact that they create expensive and beautiful websites for free with excellent customer service is what blew me away.

The videos that I received to show me how to do certain steps is not up to date with what they are using now, but the email did give the updated information.

At the start of the project, I was asked to describe my ideas and goals for the website, as well as get the accounts set up. Along the way, they provided frequent updates of what they had been working on and what was required of me next (eg. picking a theme, customizing pages, etc). They laid out really clear instructions and provided many helpful videos to walk you through the various steps, which was very helpful for someone without web design experience. They also provided a helpful document and video for the handover once they completed all of the setup.

A couple of different team members worked on the project, but I only had contact with one person to ensure consistency and familiarity. The team functions well on the back end as there weren't any hiccups from information being transferred from my contact to the other developers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website looks great, and their hand-off video showed me how to update things in a much simpler way than what I was used to in previous WordPress sites. I'm currently working on adding the content and it's been smooth sailing!

The communication was great - they sent me an update every step of the way and an estimate on when the next stage would be completed. Communication was done via email mostly, with some information collected using Google Forms, and a screen capture video for customization specifications.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The fact that they offer free website development in the first place. This is not something that is accessible to everyone financially, and they are much more knowledgeable and competent than someone learning it all on their own. They were very good at working with people unfamiliar with web design and explained everything clearly.

I am on my way to launching my site and I feel great about it. As a solo-preneur with no web development skills, I was dreading making any updates on my website because it was such an intense and laborious task. Now I have easy-to-use templates and I finally feel that I have room to breathe when it comes to my online activities.

The site looks extremely professional and I have already received compliments on the design from the pool of people I showed it to before the launch. It looks professional, de-cluttered and yet free-spirited - exactly what I was looking for. I am convinced my clients will love it too.

Their project management style is way above expectations. Constant follow up, detailed instructions, clear deadlines, a lot of involvement in answering all my questions and providing insight (and, as an over-thinker, trust me when I say I was impressed, because I reached out a lot!).

I also changed my mind several times during the project, which they accommodated so quickly (and graciously). I wish every team I will work with in the future would have their level of skill inn this area.

The overall way of organising the project was the most impressive for me. It was not even a second overwhelming, the website looks amazing, it's very easy to update, all the analytics are already plugged in, the back-up is set up and automated - All I had to do was just infuse it with my ideas & preferences and poof - done.

Sven the project manager, was cordial, informative, and patient while providing concise and very easy to understand steps they were using throughout the entire process while keeping me informed of their progress which included the timelines that each step would take to complete. As I stated initially I have no technical skills and tend to panic when I'm not sure what to do. Sven was very understanding and helpful to ensure I felt comfortable and knowledgeable as to what was expected of me to assist in the process.

Their professionalism coupled with their compassion for their clients impressed me the most. I felt very comfortable working with them because throughout the time it took to create the website, there was a friendly rapport was built between us. I truly felt like I was in good hands and the end result proved that without a doubt. The website is beautiful!
