One day I got a message on facebook from Dayana, at first I thought it was a scam but then I did some digging and saw that they had a site and it seemed legit. I'm a risk taker and also working on a start-up so I understand this process of working for free first. That connected me to the company. I also didn't think there was anything to lose.

I opted for am Astra template and the site is beautiful on all devices.

The time lines were very realistic. I did not feel pressured as I had so many other things going on at the same time. They communicated via email and sent sever videos messages providing clear information about the tasks to be done and the reason why everything was done. Responses to my emails were very prompt and thorough.

The professionalism and customer care was exceptional. There was a lot of thought put into the process and it was smooth.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

This is totally personal style here but maybe slight adjustment to the site icon that shows up in the address bar when you search the site. Purely aestheticThe outcome was fantastic!!!

A simple website that has a blog and services offered for visitors to consult. I had to select the website host and I was given the time to select the theme for the website and also explain what I wanted on it and what I want to be removed.

I haven't launched the blog yet, however, I love the design of the website and it looks so professional and clean compared to if I were to do it myself.

The last video was created just for me, it was a handover video showing me how to add myself as the administrator and update content on my page.

I had one point of contact (Sven) who was in touch with me, providing me with updates and next steps. There were two people who created how-to videos. There were probably more behind the scenes.

What were your goals for this project?

I needed a website to generate traffic to my online courses. I wanted something that was aesthetically pleasing and functional. But I was struggling with the technical side of things which was very time-consuming.

Sven gave very substantial guidance on which platforms and hosting possibilities there were available and helped me pick the ones that would work best for my needs. There was a continuous dialogue that made me feel very well looked after.

No, not yet. I am only just filling in the content on the website at the moment.

The workflow was impressive. Everything was fabulously planned and set out. Communication about the progress was great and at no time did I feel left in the dark.

I cannot think of anything. I was very impressed overall with their work and friendly guidance in an area that I am not exactly comfortable in. They made the whole process feel smooth and I now feel very confident about the website.

I feel like the professionally designed website legitimizes my business. I'm still working on utilizing metrics to grow the traffic.

They will not build it for you from scratch; you have to choose a theme that's right for you. Things move along fast and you can have a website ready to upload your content to in under 1 month time.

I connected with their lead developer and had a handover video from someone who worked on my website, so 2 people I'm aware of.

The website is up and running and it looks great. We believe we have good defense and plugins to help the smooth running of the website.

In the beginning, I knew nothing about website development. It would have been great to see some simple explanation of what was going to happen. It would have also been great to know what exactly was needed (ie. hosting, domain name, etc.) to run the website and what costs that incurs before we get to that stage.

I hired the Free Website Guys to create and assist me with designing a website for my coaching business. I have another website (a blog) and wanted to move my coaching services from the blog so it could be more cohesive. I didn't have the time or energy to create another website from scratch so when I heard about the Free Website Guys, I was very interested in their services.

My goal for this project was to separate my existing website from my coaching services so that they could each serve their separate purposes.

I found out about the Free Website Guys through a Facebook group. I checked out numerous reviews on multiple websites and they were great. The deciding factor for me was that it was absolutely free (other than having to purchase hosting - which needs to be done with any good website) as well as how great they were at communicating why they build websites for free.

The project took about a month total. After I set up my hosting, they did everything including installing plugins and my theme. They walked me through every step as well as let me know about any issues that came up.

I believe there were at least two to four web designers/developers that were working on my site.

My website is up, though I am still working on it. I feel excited about creating the content on it now that I don't have to do the set up myself.

It was great. They were super communicative. I probably heard from them every two to four days about updates.

What I found most impressive was the communication and their knowledge of web design and development.

They were pretty great in all of the areas that were important to me. As someone who has already built a website, it was tough not to have my hands in everything. But that is also the "price" of outsourcing.

Sven was excellent with keeping me up to date with the progress of the website. The website is beautiful and responsive. The only thing I have to do is fill in the template with my creative work, everything else major was done for me.

The workflow was great because Sven was excellent with communication which is what can make or break any working relationship.

The fact that they create expensive and beautiful websites for free with excellent customer service is what blew me away.

The videos that I received to show me how to do certain steps is not up to date with what they are using now, but the email did give the updated information.
