Vendor selected my project after I submitted my application for services.

I am not a tech savvy person but I can handle the basics. My previous website was pre populated so I had no idea of all the backend work that went into putting iy together. I was thankful for the team taking on my website and explaining the process as they worked. I have new insight that I wouldn’t have had had I chosen to keep my basic site.

I communicated with the team lead Seven via email.

The vendor was selected based on positive information about their company and their unique offer: to build a free website.

The work was focused on the creation of the back end of a Wordpress website. This included configurations made to the Wordpress environment, loading plugins, backups and analytics, loading and configuration of a theme and loading of a logo. A detailed report of all work carried out was created and submitted as part of a handover.

All communications were with the Lead Developer. However, instructional videos were created by other members of the team and the website construction was also carried out by other team members.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The creation of a beautiful website which is ready to have content added before being launched. This was the desired outcome and the Free Website Guys exceeded expectations.

The project management style was collaborative. At each stage of the process there was clear communication from the vendor, including instructions about actions required to enable them to proceed to the next stage. Often a short instructional video clip was included in email communications. This step-by-step approach simplified the process and made it much more manageable.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The communication was frequent and delivered in a way that worked well for people who were not tech-savvy. Each stage was broken down into manageable parts with very clear instructions. There was one point of contact with the vendor, so communication flowed effectively. They made a complex task seem very straightforward and they worked to a tight timeframe. Most of all they did this for free - who else offers such a service?

There were no areas for improvement as this company exceeded expectations.

This vendor provided the lowest "bid" for my limited budget.

The Free Website Guys completed the front and back end (plug-ins) for the website. I completed the text and pictures for the pages.

The website team had several associates who completed their assignments on schedule.

I was asked to fill out an application for approval. Then I was contacted and told that I was approved for a new website. The scope of the work was shown to me at each stage. There was a change in webhost, the use of elegant themes (Divi) and at the completion the website was handed over. Each stage was explained with videos and instructions included.

Their streamlined approach to Wordpress site building required minimal back-and-forth and meant they solved the bulk of the issues that come up when designing a website without bottlenecking the process by waiting for me to answer a million questions. I had a simple site designed quickly and efficiently, and it looks great.
