I am a product manager at a healthcare firm.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenges were you trying to address with Altromondo?

We were looking to develop a mobile and web app, the goal of the app was to manage all communications between the facilities and the supply chain and manufacturing pipes. Basically, the app is a ticketing tool where users can centralize and manage all requirements related to facilities. We also needed the app to be multilingual and multi-region because the idea is to deploy the app across the world in all of our manufacturing pipes.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Altromondo is developing our mobile app for both iOS and Android. They also created an accompanying web version. Their team uses Microsoft-oriented technologies, including Azure and Angular for mobile development.

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with the CEO, a project manager, an architect, the coding team leader, and an analyst, although there were more people involved in the development that I didn’t work directly with.

How did you come to work with Altromondo?

We had a previous project with them related to the integration of an SAP, so they came up as a reference when this project came up. I had been looking for several options and contacted different companies but I ended up choosing to work with them because they adapted better to our budget and provided greater flexibility than other companies we contacted. They are a relatively small company so their processes are more adaptable and agile.

How much have you invested in them?

We have invested about $70,000 so far, but we expect to invest about $70,000 more.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them at the beginning of 2020 and the project is still in process. We expect to finish it in December 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had an incredible experience. Their support, partnership, and ability to listen to and attend to our requirements have been great. They have been driving us along throughout the project. At one pointwe were not sure about processes, and they were able to open our eyes to see all aspects that we needed to fix and as well as our strengths, and that was an amazing experience.

How did Altromondo perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything related to the project management was perfect. We had weekly meetings for updates, follow up and improvements, we also used a shared document to register all requirements and needed improvements.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It was a great experience. Their best quality is their flexibility.

Are there any areas they could improve

The only thing that I think could have improved is that a few minor mistakes were found in the final product that could have been more strictly supervised. They were very minor spelling mistakes, although they could have been detected and quickly fixed during the test phase.

Work closely with them to get the best of the experience.
