The team began work on the project by consulting, analyzing and discussing the work steps. Then the preparation of a new template began, using the possibilities offered by the Dawn template. After our approval of the new design, the team of specialists proceeded to implement it, and work began on optimizing performance and improving conversions in the store. 

The main technologies used for the project were Shopify and HTML, CSS, JS and Liquid. It is worth noting that the company worked on new versions and used the latest developments in the above technologies. Everything was created in accordance with the latest standards.

We went through a design process with Mateusz from Sintra, where we described our overall vision, for the e-commerce platform that we are building. Mateusz, was really careful to understand our needs before starting any work, he looked into best practice among the competitors, and made a the first suggestion for a e-commerce prototype. 

Based on our feedback we continued to rely on Mateusz for e-commerce consulting on what was actually possible using Shopify. I think Sintra delivered a high fidelity prototype that will place us comfortably with the best designed eCommerce experience in our industry. 

We were referred to Sintra by Shopify Plus which is considerably more expensive than Advanced tier, and while we likely eventually will end up on the Plus plan, thanks to Sintras consulting for Shopify implementation we have been able to create a roadmap where we don't need this from the beginning (maybe never). Being a cost-aware startup this has provided tons of value.

Throughout the prototyping proces Sintra has been flexible and willing to listen to special preferences. We did not have a tight deadline and delivery of the right quality was more important to us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was recommended a bunch of different Shopify Plus consultancies and I met with 8 of them. (This project is essential for our succes). Initially I met with some agencies in my own area and I am sure that they could have done a good job as well. I chose to ask for more references in Eastern Europe as the indicative budgets were way more than I was prepared to pay. 

I am glad I did. Compared to the other agencies Sintra came back with a more detailed indicative offer showing they had really thought about how to solve the project rather than just putting down a number. This attention to detail in the initial offer was the reason I chose them, and I have not been disappointed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Sintra - Digital Business. Poland could have done differently?

I wish it had been more clear to me from the beginning what it actually meant to create a high fidelity prototype, how Sintras process for this was and that it wasn't just a process we would go back and start over for the layout/color details. 

When we started out we from our side were really focused on if we would be able to create the technical functionality we needed using Shopify and did not pay much attention to the layout/Design at the beginning.We had to go back and do this over and it added some cost to the project that could have been avoided.

We got to know Sintra Poland thanks to the recommendation of the Italian branch of Sintra. We needed a reliable and trusted company that would be able to meet our expectations during implementations for large corporate clients. Therefore, a strong argument in favor of cooperation with Sintra Consulting Poland was good communication as well as experience and knowledge in front-end and e-commerce technologies. We also analyzed Sintra’s case studies to ensure the team's skills in front-end technologies.

We have established an agreement with Sintra Poland in two models - outsourcing and fixed-price. In the case of the first model, Sintra Poland resources were part of our team and managed by our managers. In the case of fixed-price, PM and QA were on Sintra's side. From Sintra Poland, we engaged developers specializing in Angular, React, NodeJs technologies and occasionally UX/UI specialists.

The cooperation went very smoothly. We received solid support and advice from the team at every stage of the project. Sintra Poland met the assumed deadlines and was also very flexible in terms of reducing or increasing the members of the team depending on our needs.

The team was always ready to work and shared expert advice. He regularly updated the progress of work on the project, thanks to which we knew exactly where we were. During the cooperation, we mainly communicated at online meetings and by e-mail. In cases where direct cooperation within the team was necessary, Sintra Poland specialists appeared in our office in Italy for several days of joint workshops.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Throughout the period of cooperation, Sintra Consulting Poland tried to give as much as possible. Our attention was particularly drawn to flexibility, reliability and quality of work performed. The Sintra Poland team also tried to keep up to date with all the trends and news in the front-end area and was enthusiastic about testing new solutions and optimizing activities affecting the efficiency of projects.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sintra Poland's front-end team is very good with technology. There is an area for improvement by the technical team in terms of understanding the business assumptions of the projects and improving soft skills. Nevertheless, we see a systematic improvement in this area.

From quarter to quarter, the constant development of the team was noticeable, as well as an increase in its maturity and understanding of clients' business expectations. This is especially evident when the team was supported by UX/UI consulting. Especially the initial stages of the project were thoroughly described and translated from a business perspective into technical implementation.

The project meets all the assumptions when it comes to UX and SEO that we expected. This did not require additional feedback from us. We have noticed a high conversion rate compared to other projects in this industry that we run.

The scope of work also included consultation, support and development from analysis to implementation.

What we particularly liked was the quick prototyping process, as well as the quick implementation process - time to market. Sintra has many qualified developers thanks to which we can count on expert support in further operation and maintenance of the store also after implementation.

At the very beginning, appropriate resources were selected in the recruitment process. Then a dedicated team was created under the client's guidelines. The next stage was the implementation of Magento Enterprise projects - work on the front-end and back-end, the creation of advanced store architecture, the development of new functionalities and support in the further maintenance of websites.

During our cooperation, Sintra often carried out the e-commerce consulting stage with us, where we discussed the selection of the most optimal technology. Our cooperation included numerous e-commerce projects, e.g. in the field of automotive, fashion, beauty, healthcare and many others.

Trust and project security have increased. Sintra performs the entrusted tasks quickly and in high quality. Any problems encountered while working on the project are solved proactively. The company constantly monitors current trends and is able to propose additional solutions. We feel that we have the support of real e-commerce experts and custom software development.

Sintra mainly uses tools such as Jira, Asana, Mattermost, Teams and Google Hangouts. However, for the purposes of the project, they also use tools used by their clients. Sintra is a very flexible company that can quickly adapt to the guidelines, way of working and processes in a given organization.

I was most impressed by the company's organizational culture and the standards for determining the experience of developers. The seniors working in Sintra are truly skilled workers with over 8 years of experience and the mid-developer resource also represents the high quality of the work they do. Sintra has extensive experience in e-commerce consulting both within Open Source solutions such as Magento or SaaS such as Shopify.

This is extremely important for projects where clients expect expert support and an understanding of their business needs. Sintra adopts the MVP approach to project implementation, budgets are rational, so that the client can always have a certain amount for marketing activities and further development of the website.

The cooperation is very good and we are constantly trying to expand its scope. I believe that our cooperation can be even more effective if Sintra increases DevOps and Magento 2 Front-End resources.

We've launched a new store with additional language version in three months. We were able to transfer all key functionalities & design of the original, custom system and maintain the performance of the website.

After the development stage, we processed to the QA part where we communicated before launch and fixed small bugs. Currently, we cooperate with Sylwia via Asana and develop our store. The process is very transparent. Kudos for Sylwia: she was very patient, helpful, and open for our ideas, which is crucial for the process flow.

We searched for web developers and based on recommendations shortlisted 3. Afterr interviewing them, we chse this vendor based on their past project, design skills, and cost estimates.

The project was divided into two main stages. The first, design and discovery, in which Sintra Poland conducted a research and design process to analyze our needs and prepare a project that will meet our business requirements in the new version of our website.

The second stage was Development, during which Sintra developed a new service including all RWD views so that our website looks very good regardless of the device. The entire website is based on WordPress with the use of WPML multilingual plugins.

The solution prepared in this way was installed on our specific server environment, which ensures the security and stability of the new service.

Sintra has a great understanding of the business needs of the stakeholders in the project. They can perfectly translate business requirements into functionalities in the system. They were very helpful both in the initial phases of the project and during the advanced implementation.

Sintra has built and customized a number of site enhancements across our domestic site and has most recently supporting a custom multilanguage international store we plan to launch next month.

Sintra's willingness to accommodate our workflow has been incredibly helpful. Despite most team members using Asana, they transitioned to Vegamour's PM platform (Monday) to ensure we were able to have our requests on the same platform. I have also appreciated the team's positive attitude towards all tasks, even the tedious ones.

While the team is great I would love more time spent on QA prior to it being passed on to our team to avoid as much back and forth.
