Our mission is making dog care more affordable. We’re a platform where dog owners pay $10 per month for access to unlimited dog boarding and playdates.

It's so cheap because all our dog sitters, who call themselves borrowers, love dogs but can’t own one. They watch the dog for free and have a dog when it fits their lifestyle, while dog owners get affordable care.

We also partner with dog-friendly local establishments like bars and restaurants. If you subscribe, then you get discounts at those places.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

My partner and I are first-time entrepreneurs in the world of app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We did a lot of preliminary work before hiring them. One of our direct contacts helped us create a scope of work. We spent an excessive amount of time creating a wireframe. We’re pretty detail-oriented, so we documented it well. Once we sent that to them, they began to develop our native iOS and Android apps.

We had to ensure everything was secure, since dogs are like people’s children. Before they can interact with anyone—by liking another profile, writing a review, or starting a conversation—every user has an identity check. We do that through a third-party API that Hyperlink implemented, along with another API that does background checks on our borrowers. Another key feature is our web-based admin panel, which hosts CMS pages, prototypes, and live environments. It’s a cool, functional addition.

They help us with the whole design and marketing process, giving us prototypes and even using us as an example on their website.

What is the team composition?

We mostly communicate with a project manager, who relays all our feedback to the developers. For business matters, we’re in direct contact with the CEO, the founder, and someone who generates project quotes. We’ve occasionally worked with our Android lead.

How did you come to work with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

We saw positive Clutch reviews, then reached out to them and some other firms. After viewing all the portfolios, we appreciated Hyperlink’s transparency, great products, and good prices.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2017 and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re in the Google Play store and are launching on the App Store. We’re doing a soft launch now to eliminate bugs and get feedback from our friends and beta testers. Once we reiterate, we’ll do a hard launch. After we launched in the App Store, we started our 30-day support period with Hyperlink.

One of my dev friends was very impressed with the enterprise level software that we got for our first minimum viable product (MVP). It's a relief to have someone with a development background from the U.S. offer good feedback. We also get great feedback on the APIs we use for security.

How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?

Overall, it’s positive. We've had a bit of a learning curve since they’re in a different time zone, but they handle it well.

We aren't the easiest clients. We’re particular about small design features and workflows, but they are accommodating, transparent, and enlightening. We use email, phone, Skype, and Zoho.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their transparency and constant communication are impressive. They’ve taken our vision and analyzed, developed, and designed the entire thing. I was very impressed that our scope of work and wireframes became an actual app.

One of their biggest strengths is their mentorship. Their guidelines don’t promise suggestions or guidance, but they go above and beyond. They guide us and tell us if something won’t work. It’s so nice that they understand where we're coming from and help us along the way. They make suggestions based on their experiences and walk us through their previous designs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a little harsher on us since this is our first time. They would have saved time by telling us that we didn't need to worry so much about the design. What we saw the mockups, we took them as final, so we spent a lot of time nitpicking when they could have been developing.

They could also hire someone who's proficient in writing English. A lot of our feedback concerns grammar. It’s simple, small stuff, but it adds up. The communication barrier was very large in the beginning, but we learned over time. Although this issue is easily overcome, having a fluent English speaker would facilitate constructive communication and create a more fluent transition.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Develop a scope of work and think through the process. Having an in-depth, fully-developed vision is important. If you’re fluid, the vision will differ from the finished product. It’s important to start strong so you don’t lose heart.

Get ready for late nights, because you’ll have a few. It’s not their fault at all; that's just how it is when you work with an Indian firm.

I am owner of IndianChef, a startup that provides the finest vegan food in Sydney, Australia. Our startup's name is BATMAN delivery.

For what projects/services did your company hire Hyperlink InfoSystem?

My partners and I had an idea for a food delivery application that would provide interactive features for users. We hired Hyperlink InfoSystem to convert our ideas to reality.

We also offer late-night deliveries, enabling users to order anytime during the day or night. We are branding late-night deliveries as BATMAN delivery. Hyperlink Infosystem has worked with Papa Johns, which was one of the main reasons why we hired them.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to be one of the best food delivery providers in Sydney. We also now own a chain of restaurants in Sydney, and our app has many innovative features that we cannot reveal currently, since it has not yet launched.

How did you select this vendor?

We went online and searched for the best mobile app development company in India, since Australian developers were very costly. We also read about them on Clutch, which gave us more confidence.

We tried contacting many other IT companies listed on Clutch, but Hyperlink Infosystem responded fastest. We have also contacted a few past clients of Hyperlink Infosystem, and all of them were very satisfied with their work.

Describe the project in detail.

Since the project is under beta testing, I cannot disclose much about it. It’s a unique restaurant food delivery application.

What was the team composition?

They gave me a project manager, mobile iOS and Android app developers, testers, web developers, and graphic designers. The size of the team was fixed. The project manager was great. He understood my requirements clearly and executed them well.

We have already completed the first phase of development, and are now working on the second phase.

We used to manage communication through their internal project management software. We’ve also have been communicating through Skype and phone calls.

Their best quality was their communication and ability to understand what we require. We used to argue, but then they explained things to us in a clear way.

I am part of a startup that is being funded by a Fortune 100 company and their startup incubator. Our public offering is a virtual reality as an SDK [software development kit] product which allows developers to monetize their content.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink Infosystem?

We were looking for a developer who could help us test the SDK, implement the SDK into apps, and provide feedback on how to make the SDK better for other developers and users.

How did you come to work with Hyperlink?

We found them on Google Play. We saw that they had a number apps which would be a good fit for our SDK. The apps that we were looking at, which I think were a mixture of VR [virtual reality] apps and more typical ones, had very good reviews and so we reached out to them. We learned more about them and it seemed like it would be a good fit. Their portfolio and the speed with which they responded gave us confidence to work with them. It was clear that they cared about our project and they wanted to do it – you could sense their passion, for lack of a better word. We’re a team that needs to move very quickly and having developers that feel the same way is very important.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They have been mostly working on implementing and testing our SDK with pre-existing apps and providing feedback on it. They’ve implemented it in a couple of their different apps. We work out improvements to the SDK as we go from version to version with them.

What is the team dynamic?

They don’t provide us resources so much as they provide us the content we need. They give us feedback on the SDK and tell us the things they're going through and we do the same for them. We tell them about updates we make and they tell us what they think.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March and we’re still working on the project together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They've successfully been able to pass four or five versions of the SDK. There are a couple of iterations and things change with each version so that’s an important milestone for us. The SDK is in a private beta - so we reach out to developers we think will benefit from it. Anyone can ask to use it. That said we haven’t announced it publicly and don’t have much in the way of metrics. Hyperlink did have a part to play in making our developer materials better. They gave us feedback on the developer onboarding systems and how to make our setup guides easier to use and more in line with how developers such as them are using it.

How did Hyperlink perform from a project management standpoint?

I think their project management skills have been very strong. The communication has actually been great. A lot of the time it seems like we’re the team sending them a ton of [unorganized] messages in quick succession which is unfortunate. They usually get back to us extremely quickly and follow up if we haven't responded which is helpful. We have been working with them over email or video calls mostly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I have to go back to the communication piece. It’s rare to find companies that are so on top of communication as much as Hyperlink.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of any in particular. They’ve done what we asked.

Do you have any recommendations for someone who would be considering hiring Hyperlink?

I don’t think this is specific to Hyperlink, but it’s more helpful having video calls to troubleshoot problems together. Otherwise, problems can take longer to resolve. Frequent video calls wasn’t the default arrangement we had with them, but they’ve been willing to accommodate us on that.

I’m the director of Van Holdings (Pty) Ltd. We are a South African investment business that is constantly looking for new and existing projects that aim to impact various fields.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

I was interested in coming up with an augmented reality game, but I had a very broad spectrum of what I was looking for the game to do. As long as the app was able to function seamlessly with augmented reality, and performed well as a platform, I would be satisfied. We don't really have a lot of augmented reality apps in general — let alone games, so we needed to find someone that could do the job.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I was interested in combining a Pokemon Go-type game using augmented reality and GPS coordinates and integrate it with hunting. The game would allow people to come in contact with the rarest and most dangerous animals from around the planet, using the latest augmented reality technology to place these wild animals right outside a gamer’s front door, school, shopping center, or anywhere else they may be.

We bounced ideas back and forth, and they took care of the design process from there going forward. The app was built for iOS and Android. I generally was in contact with the project manager and the lead developer of the project, and then spoke once or twice with the CEO.

How did you come to work with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

I'd done quite a bit of research on app development companies before I started the process. I found Hyperlink through a Google search; I typed in “top augmented reality app companies” and they were listed second or third. I also stumbled upon a magazine that reviewed mobile games, and they were recommended in it. The reviews that I had followed up on their website claimed that they were very advanced with augmented reality apps.

I reached out to them and they were speedy in their response, professional in their approach, and accommodated any queries or concerns I had. They seemed to grasp the objective of where I wanted the game to go, so we followed the process from there.

What is the status of this engagement?

I reached out to them in August last year [2016], and the project wrapped up at the end of May [2017]. We launched on June 1st. They’re providing free 3-month support after the launch of the app.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their deliverables was great and always above expected. We sometimes missed each other on the idea, but that's from just interpreting what's on the emails and was quickly fixed. I've seen very few games with the level of quality that the one they’ve produced has.

VirtuHunt has successfully been launched as the world’s first augmented reality hunting game. It is quickly climbing the ranks in the App and Play Stores. Currently, we have about 1,700 downloads on Android and over 500 on Apple in just over a week. It’s had a lot of great reviews — only positive feedback regarding gameplay, graphics, and overall excitement. There are no reviews yet on the iOS platform since it's still very fresh to iOS. It's been on Android for about 2 weeks longer.

The overall success of the app remains to be seen. Obviously, no one is going to type in the name of our game without knowing about it. We’ve just finished our advert in New York, which I'll start advertising tomorrow, and that will have a great impact on the success of the game.

How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a slight communication barrier when I started working with them because they had quite a strong accent over the phone. Once everything started running on email, they were very quick at responding. Besides email, we spoke over Skype and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about Hyperlink InfoSystem?

The main benefit of working with Hyperlink was the value for money. For the amount that I've paid them compared to what I received as a product, it's far surpassed the value.

Hyperlink InfoSystem goes the extra mile in understanding exactly what their client’s objectives are and are always welcoming with new ideas. It was a seamless and unparalleled partnership.

Are there any areas Hyperlink InfoSystem could improve?

Not at all. If there was anything that I wanted to change throughout the process, I would let them know and they were more than willing to alter course or adjust accordingly. They've always been very responsive to my requests.

Our company was created to lower the overall cost of health insurance for patients. At the same time, we wanted to improve the quality of care through the creation of a simple app. For a minimal cost, we put doctors in patients’ homes within an hour. The app allows patients to see which doctors are available in their neighborhoods. Patients can pay ahead for services and book appointments. The app is supposed to be a place where doctors can moonlight and offer their services for a very discounted price. Since being close to patients lowers the overhead, everything is based on geolocation. The doctor app alerts users about appointment requests, which they can either accept or deny. Doctors can use the app to review symptoms. Once an appointment is accepted, they can go to patients’ homes for consultations. After this, the patients and doctors can rate each other. I'm a co-founder of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

We wanted to address several health care challenges. First, we wanted to lower health care costs for patients as well as overhead expenses for doctors. We also wanted to avoid the unnecessary cost associated with unnecessary emergency room visits as well as decrease a patient’s waiting time for minor ailments. By creating a virtual health care environment, we hoped to improve the doctor-patient relationship.

We needed help with developing the application and integrating it with the website. We had a shell in place, but we needed someone who could develop and test it. It had to be a viable product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hyperlink InfoSystem developed our system. We worked with a total of six people from Hyperlink’s iOS and Android teams, including their main developer. Although I am familiar with some aspects of coding, I’m a novice so I can’t provide many technical details. We needed the app to be stable, user-friendly, and widely usable. It needed to have common elements like a five-star rating system and a login process. Although it would be a new product, I needed users to have familiar features.  

How did you come to work with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

I visited a lot of developer blogs to discover who the leading people were. Around 1–1 ½ years ago, Hyperlink was one of the top app development companies. They have multiple products out on iOS and Android. I started reading the comments of their clients, and everything was positive. Hyperlink was able to deliver on time, within the specs required, and at the right price.

So far, the cost of Hyperlink InfoSystem’s work has been around $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in May 2016, and the app was done by May 2017. There are additional modifications to come.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

I’d never worked with a foreign company before, so I was apprehensive about how things would work out. Fortunately, Hyperlink met or exceeded our expectations every time. The app works to our liking. Although the preliminary reviews look very promising, it is still too early to provide any metrics.

We’re very excited about the app’s potential growth. We found out that insurance companies also need this service. Given this information, we believe that the service will become larger than we had ever expected.

How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Skype for communication, and it continues to be an essential tool for our project. The language barrier was an issue at the beginning. Once we became accustomed to their tone of voice, accents, and mannerisms, we were fine. We extended the project from six months to one year because we started adding features. While Hyperlink missed several deadlines within that year, the product itself was delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about Hyperlink InfoSystem?

They always met our expectations. If we were unhappy with their work, Hyperlink’s entire team worked after hours to fix things and make sure that everything was to our liking.

Are there any areas Hyperlink InfoSystem could improve?

This is only a minor point, but it would have been nice to be introduced to the coding team before the project started—just to know their first names and their contribution to the work. Eventually, I did get to know the team better.

Also, We wanted to do a couple of things with the app design, but the technology wasn’t there. If it was, it came at a very high cost and required many hours to get right. For example, we couldn’t put the patient and doctor sides together because of size limitations. Whoever the user was, they would only be using half of the app. Otherwise, it would have been too convoluted. As a result, we currently have 4 mobile applications, 2 each for Android and iOS devices. However, both versions use the same script. If both versions of the app were loaded on the same phone, they’d be competing with each other. In this situation, the app doesn’t function as fast as I want it to. It’s not likely that a patient would load the doctor app as well, or vice versa, but it’s something to consider. We’ll take care of this issue in the next versions.

The app looks great and it works extremely well. It has had a good response on the Google Play and iOS stores. It’s also very easy to use, and the best part is that there is a lot of potential for future upgrades, which Harnil and the team will continue to advise and assist me with.

Being able to have direct communication with the founder is important, and their level of client satisfaction is high. Harnil is extremely responsive as is the rest of their team, and he is always ready to assist however he can. He truly cares about his clients’ businesses and helps them to achieve success.

There is not much that they could improve upon. I'm very happy with their level of service.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

We wanted to create a rideshare app that was different than Uber. I needed someone to build the app in the way I wanted in the budget I could work with.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hyperlink InfoSystem built both the iOS and Android application consisting of two apps for drivers and two apps for passengers. They built the framework for the apps and did the design as well. It was a fully customized application with a lot of out-of-scope work. We didn’t want just to launch an app that was a carbon copy of one that was already on the market. I needed to communicate what we wanted in our app. We have now contracted Hyperlink InfoSystem for ongoing maintenance and support.

I relied heavily on web based reviews about Hyperlink InfoSystem. I didn’t find any negative feedback about them. They’re very competitive in their pricing compared to Austria.

It took Hyperlink InfoSystem 5 months to complete the initial build of the product. We started working with them in August 2016, and we are continuing to add more features and refinements.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Hyperlink did everything we expected and probably more regarding the services and skills that they brought to the table. The apps have been launched for nine weeks now, and we’ve had 930 user downloads.

How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?

I was lucky to have the project manager that I did because he understood the concepts of what we wanted quickly. He became an integral part of our organization in terms of recommending new products and features in the app. We communicate with Hyperlink InfoSystem through email, Skype, and instant messaging. I like that better because we need to move quickly. We use basic documents as checklists to keep tasks organized.

What did you find most impressive about Hyperlink InfoSystem?

The owner is also very engaged and approachable in the business. I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a business where the owner gave me his number and I can contact him any time of the day if I have any issues.

Are there any areas Hyperlink InfoSystem could improve?

It’s good to be very clear in the requirements when you have customized features. I think that’s probably common when you’re crossing language and cultural barriers. The project manager and I make sure that we know what the other person is trying to communicate.

We have a big chain of 5-star hotels in Hong Kong and have been in this industry for more than 25 years. I am an IT [information technology] director and handle all queries and enhancements needed in our hotel IT operations.

Our goal was to build a solid application and web system that helps our customers and staff members so that the workflow is fast and hassle-free. Previously, we were using traditional methods for hotel management, which were time-consuming processes and didn't have the flexibility to add additional services. We are currently using this application for one hotel and will implement it slowly to all of our hotels.

What was the scope of their involvement?

With Hyperlink InfoSystem, we are building applications for iPads, iPhones, Androids, and the web system for our hotel management. The services that we provide in our app and web system include providing an individual iPad and credentials to users when they check n to our hotel. This app is made for all users – our customers, staff members, hotel managers, and administrators. Customers can use this app to check the layout of the hotel. For example, if they would like to gym or spa, then they can use this app to search for their destination. Customers can also use this app to order all services like food and room cleaning. They can even chat and video call our hotel manager. Customers can also book a specific time slot for room cleaning service. This request goes to all nearby room cleaners, and the available resource can accept the request. It also helps in managing requests and saves a lot of time for room cleaners.

This app has helped our customers to get more personalized service and helped us to reduce our workload, resulting in a reduction – in some part – of our operational costs. Customers can also give reviews to specific hotel departments. Our staff members use this app to take orders and deliver them to correct room. They can even use this app to get information about past orders and customer reviews. Finally, admin can use the app to provide instruction to staff members and help customers.

We did a lot of research on the Internet for best app development company offering cost-effective solutions. We found Hyperlink InfoSystem on Clutch. We interviewed many companies from the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. We selected Hyperlink InfoSystem as they already had solid experience with building hotel management applications and web solutions. They even traveled to our offices in Hong Kong for a personal meeting. They also provided us a good presentation on what they've understood about our needs and what should be the best solution for those needs. We are fully satisfied with our experience with Hyperlink InfoSystem. All the stages in our first phase of development were handled efficiently by the team. We have developed an application named Delvy, offering delivery services for Papa John's franchisees. I am the president of the franchise group in New York.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink Infosystem?

There are many Papa John's restaurants in the New York City area, and we wanted to come up with a more efficient way of making deliveries. Currently, each restaurant has its own drivers, which means that during off periods, those people still need to be paid.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have developed an Uber-like app which allowed us to track drivers through a GPS and make the system more efficient.

Our solution consists of a driver app, a store app, and a dispatcher app. The first version of the system was meant to work at a store level, but we've made 4-5 iterations since. The second phase of the app's development will revolve around automation algorithms for dispatching deliveries based on loads, distances, and other factors.

We have worked with Hyperlink Infosystem's project manager for any changes we needed to make. We typically send specs to Hyperlink Infosystem's team, they review our work, and we discuss it. The collaboration has been good.

We didn't use any particular project management tools. I simply email ideas in layman's terms to Hyperlink Infosystem, given that I'm not a programmer.
