Our Magento web site was having security and compatibility issues, we needed someone to move us from Magento one to Magento 2 with an appropriate hosting package and security features.

Emizen Tech offered the skills we needed for this project, and promised to deliver our project within the needed time frame at a competitive rate.

My lead developer at Emizen Tech looked over the existing web site and then helped me select appropriate extensions. They built the new site Magento 2 to match the look and feel of the existing site, fully configured.

Selected an appropriate web hosting service, and helped optimize the site for security and speed, and CDN to for added speed and security. Our site went live almost seamlessly from the old platform to the new, and Emizen Tech has stayed at hand to help with upgrades and add-ons to keep our site running smoothly

My main point of contact was a lead developer, along with a Magento 2 specialist, and an optimization team

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launch our pages were loading at over twice the speed of our old site, which lead to an increase in our SEO visibility of over 20%, and we had a similar increase in our web site conversion rate.

Communications were via web chat - a lot of screenshots passing back and forth between us. My developer worked hard to understand my needs and visions for the site, and made fast and steady progress to get them new site developed, debugged, optimized and and live within my 3 month goal

Once signed on, they took the time to understand my goals and kept me abreast of the progress of the work and suggestions to improve my project in ways I would have been completely unaware of.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If they lived in my time zone it would be more convenient but since they are on the opposite side of the globe, I can not fault them for that. The time difference was easy to work around

I was trying to create a COVID vaccination proof and verification app. I hired Emizen Tech to design a demonstratable app that I could use to show health authorities.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Emizen Tech designed an iOS app and its graphics. The app enables users to create accounts and scan vaccine bar codes, which then generate a QR code for the vaccinated individual. Emizen Tech also created a scanning feature that allows businesses to read those QR codes.

I just hired Emizen Tech to build the app for demonstration purposes. It’s not yet in the App Store.

I worked most closely with Nitin (Software Engineer).

This project began about six weeks ago in December 2020, and it ended a week ago in January 2021.

I have shown the app to Health Canada and Telus Health. Everyone was impressed in terms of the app’s simplicity and functionality, as well as the smoothness of the interface.

WIthin the given timeline the project was delivered to me and it is perfectly working fine. The UI/ UX and functionality is perfectly done and satisfy my expectation level. I was in communication with Project Manager throughout the project, the PM was very much responsible and easy to communicate. PM understands all our needs and update me on regular basis. I wish there was a stricture structure and more laid out steps of development. with strict deadlines, but due to being a start up these foundations are likely to be in place.

Everything about his company is very unique. It started as a thought in my head, then transitioned into a drawing, then into a working application. It wasn't a parallel idea shared with anyone else.

A stricter more clear timeline of production.

We’ve tested the platform and they’re doing a good job. They act as if this is a personal project which is quite assuring. They clearly want this project to succeed.

The project manager is amazing. He’s committed to our project’s success and is available when I raise up issues. When I make comments, I get a response the same day even if it’s on a weekend. I also appreciate that they record all of our conversations for reference.

Everything is playing out really well. I don’t have any concerns.

They’re a very good team to work with. If all the project managers are like the one I have, you have nothing to worry about. The graphic designer is amazing. He’s so skilled at what he does. The CEO is in a class of his own. He knows the job in and out. They’re also willing to share ideas with you. They will challenge your ideas in a good way.

With an expected time of 1 month for B2C application and 1 month for B2B application, Emizen has done exactly the proposed content, in addition to support us a lot in the process of building connection gate. between the two applications.

With a partner, I created a fitness and workout app that allows users to join workout programs virtually and train over video.

They created the application that holds all of the workout programs.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided them with a series of sketches that laid out our vision for the final app. From there, they developed a draft and took our feedback on the work. We collaborated in this iterative process to continue improving the app. The platform is almost finished at this point. 

The final app will be available for iOS users. If we’re impressed with the results, then we will consider building out an Android version as well.

We have one main point of contact that was managing the process. We also worked with three developers as well as a database specialist.

In our iterative feedback process, we provided our thoughts on their work through screenshots. We sent PDF files containing our input on their work for them to address in future iterations. That worked well. They were an organized team, centralizing communication through a project manager.

UX of the website has improved tremendously since hiring them. Certain basic features that were lacking in the website have now been completed by them. Also, worked on certain difficult to implement features, that I wasn't sure if they will be able to do. But they were able to deliver with relative ease

Trello is used for task management. Daily reports on work done are sent by Project Co-ordinator. The developer working on my project is always available to chat. However, task timelines before a task is started are not provided. I feel like cost analysis of the task before starting it should be provided, as that would help the company hiring them to allocate cost and resources accordingly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The overall knowledge and expertise of the developers are commendable. They know Magento inside out and can help you with the most challenging of tasks related to the framework. The team is not reliant on one person for this knowledge, multiple people with this knowledge and expertise are available for help, so you are never in trouble with regards to the completion of a feature.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Company founders are a little hesitant to talk to their clients once the project has resumed. I feel like for the benefit of the company, and for the benefit of the client, and also for a client-vendor relationship, they should be more forthcoming to interact with the clients. Other than that, they are doing a fantastic job.

We hired Emizen Tech to create social sharing integrations for our application. This included sharing features across social channels like, facebook, instagram, linkedin, pinterest, tumbler etc. It also involved integrations with web builder platforms like wordpress, shopify, wix and other.

What were your goals for this project?

We required for the features to work well and then later for it to be integrated with Glorifyapp applications. UX/UI designs were provided to Emizen Tech and their job was to implement it.

How did you select this vendor?

We found Emizen Tech on clutch along with a few other vendors. Emizen Tech showed great professionalism, able to understand requirements quickly and easily. The founder was easy to speak to and to work out all the details with.

They developed the integrations and then worked with our internal team to get the implementation done. The project began with a discovery call to identify the requirements. Emizen Tech followed up with research and provide different solutions. Not much explanations or hand holding were required. Once development was completed Emizen Tech provided documentation to our internal team to complete the integrations. Any issues were resolved by active participation from Emizen Tech.

We had a great project manager who happened to also be the founder of the company and 1-2 main high end developer to get the project completed.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project is very important for the growth of our company. We are very much committed to our product development. This project was a great milestone ticked off the development road map.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was very impressive. Regular communications and immediate response. Slack, whatsapp and skype was used for back and forth communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Clients have great access to project manger and backend developers. Open and responsive communication and feedback. Willingness and ready to implement feedback, changes and suggestions.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Very little they could improve. Only suggestion would be to finalise on costing before starting on development so that leaves no misunderstanding later.
