What is the status of this engagement?
We were working on the first phase of the website and there were a lot of issues in the functioning, they fixed some of them.
And then the team told us they did not have the bandwidth to work on the project anymore and handed over a website which was incomplete and had issues.
We had to find a new agency to work on the website.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?
Initial few weeks the team was responsive and work was moving as per timelines. We were supposed to take the first phase life and start working on additional features for the second phase.
But towards the end of phase one we found that proper testing wasn’t done and there were a lot of issues. We had to keep following up constantly to get them fixed.
They did not inform us on time that they did not have enough resources to work on our project; timelines would just keep getting extended. If they had then we would have been in a better position to figure out a better alternative.
So after spending weeks trying to get the issues fixed and planning for phase two when they informed us that they wouldn’t be able to work on the project anymore, we were left with a website where a lot of core features were not functioning properly.
How did Emizen Tech address the challenges that arose?
While the team was unable to sort out our issue, the conduct of some of the team leads was highly disappointing and unprofessional. The team lead dismissed our requests to get on a call in a very unprofessional manner and also did not provide any constructive solutions.
Even when we just wanted them to properly hand over the website so we could go get it fixed somewhere else, they caused unnecessary delays by not responding to our requests.
Their conduct not only made us lose out on a lot of time and money, but we ended up with a website that didn’t even function.
Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.
A project that was supposed to be completed in 5 weeks was delivered after almost 3 months. Timelines were not met and due to that we were not able to launch as per our plan.
The project was extended beyond the initial estimated hours so we had to increase the budget of the website once we were halfway through.
Even when we took the website live there were errors in the functioning due to which we couldn’t start operations.
As an e-commerce portal our website is the most important part of our business and without that we lost a lot of business and also ended up spending a lot more on this project than we had estimated; first with the delays in the launch date, then fixing the issues and once the team left this project midway hiring a new company so they could fix it.
How was project management handled?
When we started the project the team was able to help us plan out all the features that we wanted.
When we started testing the website and issues started coming up they were not able to manage timelines and customer expectations properly. Communication was a challenge.
When the project kept getting delayed without clarity on timelines we had to escalate the issue multiple times before getting a proper response, post that they informed us that they wouldn’t be continuing with the project.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?
The team that worked on the project showed a lot of promise and were helpful, but in spite of that, the website that was handed over to us had a lot of issues and they did not complete the project.
In what specific areas can they improve?
• they need to be more honest with clients, and inform them about issues on time instead of misleading/ ignoring the customer.
• they need to be able to estimate the project timelines and cost better instead of extending timelines once a project has started.
• they should not take up projects if they don’t have the bandwidth and if they have taken it up then they need to see it till completion and not abandon it midway.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
They seem to have great ratings and reviews, but our experience was not good. They did not complete the project and there were issues in what they delivered.

Emizen Tech designed an iOS app and its graphics. The app enables users to create accounts and scan vaccine bar codes, which then generate a QR code for the vaccinated individual. Emizen Tech also created a scanning feature that allows businesses to read those QR codes.

Nitin Mathur was who I was in heavy contact with during the process and he was the leader of the production team at EmazinTech. Hemant was the other main individual I was in contact with who was the designer of the application and website.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
I wish there was a stricture structure and more laid out steps of development. with strict deadlines, but due to being a start up these foundations are likely to be in place.

tools we used to communicate were Skype and trello. Management styles were constructed and maintained by Nitin.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Everything about his company is very unique. It started as a thought in my head, then transitioned into a drawing, then into a working application. It wasn't a parallel idea shared with anyone else.

A stricter more clear timeline of production.

We’ve tested the platform and they’re doing a good job. They act as if this is a personal project which is quite assuring. They clearly want this project to succeed.
How did Emizen Tech perform from a project management standpoint?
The project manager is amazing. He’s committed to our project’s success and is available when I raise up issues. When I make comments, I get a response the same day even if it’s on a weekend. I also appreciate that they record all of our conversations for reference.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are committed to seeing my dream come to reality. They put everything they can over and above to make this a success.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Everything is playing out really well. I don’t have any concerns.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a very good team to work with. If all the project managers are like the one I have, you have nothing to worry about. The graphic designer is amazing. He’s so skilled at what he does. The CEO is in a class of his own. He knows the job in and out. They’re also willing to share ideas with you. They will challenge your ideas in a good way.

With a partner, I created a fitness and workout app that allows users to join workout programs virtually and train over video.

What challenge were you trying to address with Emizen Tech?
They created the application that holds all of the workout programs.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provided them with a series of sketches that laid out our vision for the final app. From there, they developed a draft and took our feedback on the work. We collaborated in this iterative process to continue improving the app. The platform is almost finished at this point.
The final app will be available for iOS users. If we’re impressed with the results, then we will consider building out an Android version as well.
What is the team composition?
We have one main point of contact that was managing the process. We also worked with three developers as well as a database specialist.
How did you come to work with Emizen Tech?
We saw that they had good reviews, so we reached out. In our early conversations, they showed us their portfolio and discussed our business plan with us. We were impressed with them and hired them.

We’ve spent about $8,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since April 2020. The project timelines were lengthened by us because we’re both students that needed to also focus on school during this time.

They built exactly what we wanted, according to our feedback and sketches. We gave them our ideas, and they translated them into the digital world. They implemented our designs very well.

We communicate via Skype, and they react very quickly to our questions. Even if we contact them in the middle of the night, I can always count on a response.
In our iterative feedback process, we provided our thoughts on their work through screenshots. We sent PDF files containing our input on their work for them to address in future iterations. That worked well. They were an organized team, centralizing communication through a project manager.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They truly understood our goals with the project. Their communication and organization skills really stood out.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I appreciated communicating over video calls because this was a visual project.
