BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

My current position is Regional Head of People for the Southern Cone at the company Nowports, a digital freight forwarder in LatAm, mixing logistics with financial and technological tools to ship cargo.Offering customized solutions for supply chain. My main role is to strategically structure the business through all Human Resources subsystems in Brazil and Uruguay.

The company was in a stage of a fast growth. This step of building out the company to serve a large and global market, with the goal of becoming the first mover at scale required a focus on hiring, in order to get quality employees and building the company culture as quickly as it was possible. Combine has offered the service of structuring the management team to strategically meet the fast growth in a solid and consistent way.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

The holistic and strategic look, considering all aspects of a building process, met exactly the need for the fast growth and sedimentation of a solid culture. Since the goal was not only to fill an open position, but to structure a team capable of driving a direction towards an aggressive objective of transforming the market.

The growth scenario required the design of an organizational structure that was efficient enough to meet the great demand of the market. And Combine brought a proposal with fundamental roles as a starting point to scale the team and already brought a quality pipeline.

The provision of data on each candidate was very complete, which allowed more elaborate comparisons and helped a lot in decision making.

The access to the professional who was working on the project was very fast, fluid and constructive in each interaction. Which made it possible to speed up the steps and have the final result in advance.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They got into the core of the business for the final objective, which helped them to be assertive and fast. Impressive!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing comes up to my mind at this moment. I'm willing to work with them again.
