Virtual reality and augmented reality are everywhere right now, but they still haven’t quite saturated the mainstream market. It’s only a matter of time until you start seeing virtual reality in all aspects of your daily life. Here are just a few examples of what to expect next in the world of virtual reality.

Virtual Reality in Real Estate

With the new arrival of augmented reality, you can bet that gamers are not the only ones to take advantage of this new technology. You will be able to take guided tours through homes you are interested in. You will be able to walk through several homes in a matter of minutes, without having to drag the family across town - or worse, across the country.

Virtual Reality in the Workplace

Last year alone, billions of dollars were paid out for workplace injuries. Whether due to improper training or accidents that could have been avoided, virtual reality is now allowing companies to adapt software that will allow them to train employees on-site in a variety of different tasks. Allowing employers to gauge the strength of employees without placing them in strenuous situations helps mitigate liability and increase employee talent and training in a confined workplace setting.

Virtual Reality in Education

Gone are the days of textbooks and overhead projectors. Teachers are the world’s innovators, adapting new technologies to engage young people in learning. There are already companies dedicated to innovative technologies in the classroom, and it’s only a matter of time before they take to virtual reality for its unique ability to capture attention, provide experience, and elevate education.

Virtual Reality in Marketing

Event based and experience based marketing is on the rise. Imagine the opportunities that exist for marketing when you can allow customers to test drive the newest line of vehicles, test out new makeup products, and attend large events without leaving the comfort of home. Companies will find a way to use virtual reality experiences to move their products; it’s only a matter of time.

The future of virtual reality is all about adoption. As more users adopt virtual reality technology, more opportunities for its use and innovations in its application will arise. What are you looking forward to in the world of virtual reality?
