Over 250 products had to be uploaded to a Shopify store that was being created from scratch.  This was a bulk discount business, thus descriptions and pricing were difficult to determine.  The final deliverables included an application and a website.  Shopify was used extensively, however there were certain unique features that were made possible by coding individually.

I'm very pleased with how the website and application look!  The unique objectives have been completed, and I have a structure in place to maintain my store independently after development.

I gave Vrrb access to the website so they could build the skeleton themselves, along with a site map and an outline of the present structure of the website. We had a discussion about the best approach to organise our content; previously, I believe people had been producing content categories or subtypes at their own pace, and we needed to reconsider what the user's preferences and viewpoint would be. They handled wireframes after I did my best to give them the precursor materials. They redesigned our website to make it more aesthetically pleasing. 

Additionally, they made sure that the website could adapt to changes in our program. That was a crucial feature.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They exceeded all expectations. One of the major issues, in my opinion, is that the team for whom the website was created hasn't contacted me to make any adjustments in a long time. When a team comes to me on a frequent basis to make minor adjustments to the site's backend, I can usually tell that they are going to push for a new website. Depending on how much the team contacts me after a website launched, I can determine whether or not it is working for them. The group has managed the website and grown to be largely independent. 

That serves as a gauge of their level of success, in my opinion. The fact that Vrrb was available to onboard and aid on that front, in my opinion, was also beneficial.

The procedure was excellent. They were consistently quite responsive within a day or less, and they didn't miss much. Our company is dispersed around United State; while Vrrb is located in the same location as me, the project team is headquartered on the East Coast, and they were adaptable to the time shift.

There was a lot of back and forth, and occasionally unforeseen issues arose. Everyone was incredibly understanding, accommodating, and flexible. That, in my opinion, is a testament to their experience working with clients from both our sector and other industries. It was great that they accepted challenges as they arose. We communicated via email, Google Hangouts, and brief phone calls when necessary.

Vrrb began by providing the District a calendar that clearly defined the project's dates, scope, and deliverables. Next, they organised a kick-off meeting for the events team, which included the CEO, Creative Director, Project Manager, Designer, and Content Strategist. A week later, they hosted a 'Start with Why' session for District personnel and other key members of the Harmony Arts community (a total of 17 people).

Following the training, Vrrb interviewed a group of eight volunteers, District employees, sponsors, and participants. After the research phase was completed, Vrrb did a collateral audit, followed by numerous in-person presentations in which they provided us with several options and gave us opportunity to provide comments and improve the choices.

We are quite satisfied with the results of the brand makeover. We received a lot of great response from our sponsors and the community about the redesigned visual identity. Our internal team felt that Vrrb actually listened and exceeded our expectations.

Vrrb started with a thorough Research + Discovery process that included Zoom interviews, interactive workshops, and presentations to learn about our company, clients, industry, operations, and technological requirements. The project was divided into two tracks: web and brand. The first step in the branding process was to distil Raven's mission into inspiring and unifying messaging. Next came the concepts for the logo and visual ID, which we narrowed down and improved until we finally decided on our new identity. 
In the meantime, the UX team at Vrrb was designing the information architecture and content of our new website with its users' needs in mind. These were converted into Figma wireframes, which subsequently served as the foundation for the user interface and graphic design of the new website.

With the website's UX, content, design, and technical needs finished, Vrrb's engineers began creating Raven's custom theme on WordPress, integrating the website with our different platforms and business-critical technologies. Testing and QA followed. Vrrb conducted the most of this internally before handing us the keys to the staging environment for Client Acceptance Testing. After that, we did some last-minute changes before releasing the new website and brand!

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This data seems ridiculous. We are aware.

Direct Traffic: 49 times higher than the previous year between February and August of 2022.
Between june and October of 2025, organic search traffic increased 61 times year over year.
Between june and October of 2025, the average session duration increased six times over the previous year.
Pageviews: 94 times higher than the previous year between june and October of 2025.
Since the debut of the website, we have seen an increase in both newsletter signups and form submissions. During the switch to the new website, our online course sales remained robust and never wavered; courses are still waitlisted and sold out nationwide. Since we have never had a retail sales platform, we have nothing to compare it against!

However, with the help of a strong user experience and continuous improvement from the Vrrb team, we are relaxing into the new e-commerce reality. Any persistent issues we have with e-commerce are less directly due to the website design and more to our new inventory software and how it integrates with the website.

The project was managed in a timely, transparent, and reliable manner. We had a single Project Manager who acted as our point of contact and gave us weekly updates through scheduled video check-ins and documentation. control the course of the project, four different project managers took control, but we never felt that any knowledge was lost. An amazing achievement! We also had a 100+ page "website training" document at the end of our project, which is a living Google Doc that allows us to document site modifications on our own or by Massive as time goes on.

We believed that Vrrb had given us the best of the best; they had selected the most valuable lessons from each client in their portfolio, combined them with our requirements, and produced our branding and site design based on the outcome. As a result, the CTO at Vrrb encouraged us to carefully reevaluate our whole backend software ecosystem. In order to provide a brand and website, they went above and beyond the stated scope of work. They led us to the (albeit unpleasant) realisation that we needed to support the job they were doing with equally expert backend software. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Vrrb - Web & Product Design Agency could have done differently?

We still face difficulties in the field of e-commerce. We think this has less to do with the site itself and more to do with the new inventory software (Netsuite) and how it integrates with our WordPress WooCommerce site. It is evident to me that Vrrb has never assisted a client in integrating WooCommerce with Netsuite. We clearly would have benefited from any prior knowledge that Vrrb had of such integrations completed for other clients, even if developing integrations was completely outside the purview of Vrrb's work with us (that fell to the integration partner we were working with). Though we are still working on the projects, so we look forward to change

We had a lot of experience in our industry as a top Dutch finance firm, but we required assistance making sure that our production process, strategy, and impact were properly understood by a wide range of international audiences. We collaborated with Vrrb to provide an engaging online experience and a clear story.

Among the steps were:

Investigation and Finding a Solution Design, Web Development, and Execution
Massive started by learning about our company, clients, industry, operations, and technical needs through a thorough Research + Discovery approach.

In order to determine the style and design we were searching for, this stage included interactive workshops, user interviews, competitive discovery, and presentations.

The Vrrb team then established the technical strategy, user requirements, and content and information architectural structure of our website. These resulted in high-fidelity prototypes, which subsequently served as the foundation for the user interface and graphic design of the new website.
