Contour Innovations is a SaaS platform that automates the output of bathymetric layers based on user-submitted sonar and position data collected by marine electronic devices. It was acquired by Navico in 2014.

We were able to hire talented GIS students with little technical abilities from the University of Minnesota to make edits to sophisticated spatial datasets.

This project was relatively small, as was the number of assigned resources. They followed up frequently throughout to check on the progress.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Our top priorities for the project were incredible organization and communication. They exceeded our expectations on pace and deliverables. I haven't engaged them for a few years, but we keep in touch every few months.
