Duck Hair, LLC was created this year (2016) for the sole purpose to develop and market a commercially viable mobile game for the Android & iOS platforms.

I am the owner, Chief Executive Officer, and sole proprietor, thus I do everything.

I wanted to create a highly professional game application that was suitable for mass marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I came to KnubiSoft with a game concept, some simplified designs, and some base framework software code I provided for game operation. I specifically required another developer that I could brainstorm with to build upon one another and ultimately create the final product, i.e. the Duck Hair game.

It should also be noted that I depended heavily upon KnubiSoft for a project manager to tie it all together and an artist to create the graphics required by the game. A prominent example of this is our “Duck Hair” mascot/logo.

How did you come to work with KnubiSoft?

I interviewed multiple companies and dozens of freelance programmers/developers with a simplified scope of the project. I then supplied each interested party with a small but specific coding task to perform in order to prove their skill set. KnubiSoft was one of the few companies that was able to provide a valid “proof of concept”. My final decision was based upon my interaction with the people of KnubiSoft. Simply put: I had a good feeling about them.

The budget was around US $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project was started in earnest early March 2016. We are currently in the final week of quality assurance with an anticipated launch date: week of August 21, 2016.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

It’s too early to provide any metrics on the success of the project. The proof will be the download count after we launch next week. It is also my intention to enter the Duck Hair game in the IMGA Mobile Games Award Competition, which should provide additional data on the success of the project.

As for my personal satisfaction with the project – I could not have selected better than the team KnubiSoft assigned to assist me. Although I tend to love all my children – even the ugly ones – I am truly pleased with the final product.

Their imagination and creativity! “Code monkeys” are easy to find. Finding creativity combined with experience and skill is a much more difficult task. KnubiSoft fully met these requirements.

Are there any areas KnubiSoft could improve?

That’s a trick question. I have over 30 years of programming experience, and there are always things I can find to do differently, or the classic “what if…”, but that is what the next version is for.

To be more specific as to whether they could improve something, the answer is no. KnubiSoft designed everything to my specifications and beyond! KnubiSoft exceeded my expectations.

In our business, having strong and safe technology is crucial, especially when we buy new debt portfolios for banks. Even though our main focus is on fintech and financial services, we realized we needed really good IT. So, we decided to get help from outside and outsource our IT services.

They're currently working on about 5 projects for us. Knubisoft assisted in dealing with old IT systems and apps. 

They're helping us make everything more standardized and unified in terms of networks and tools, and they're guiding us in moving to the cloud. Without the platform, our company will be died in operations. This platform allow us to focus on strategy and our revenue growth. The PM guided us through main matters such as pricing, marketing strategy, product development, and so forth.
