I needed a website for the romanian market, as this is where I live and work. I needed it to fullfill my requirements (design, functionalities) and deadlines. It had to be good-looking, have great UX and loading speed.

I only worked directly with Sven, he was the project coordinator, and this was a good thing, as having an unique person of contact speeded up and simplified the process

After being selected, I was in constant contact with Sven who explained the process step by step. I chose my theme after they did a bunch of backend work and allowed me to send a video of me explaining what I wished to change.

I only spoke with Sven but I imagine there is more than him behind my website.

Since having my website back up and running I have been able to restart my business and approach clients with a professional looking site.

It was really efficient and if I had not been so slack in replying myself it would have a much more streamlined process. Sven responded to all my emails within a day or so, and I really appreciate them being so patient with me and catering to all my requests.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

i really appreciated that I could have such a beautiful site created without even meeting the team. They really saw my vision without me having to explain too much and were so efficient and understanding and attentive to every detail and request I had.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Perhaps being more up front about the cost of the extra things like domain etc. When I really have no idea about how a website being built encompasses these things it can come as a bit of a surprise. but it was no big deal.

Their input was extremely valuable as it saved me from months of research. In a fast and clear communication manner I managed to learn the ins and outs of owning a website. Went from 0 (knowing nothing about website dev) to 100 (owning a strong website with all the tools needed to succeed in my endeavor ) really fast and I really appreciate their work.

We paid for webhosting , They gave us the different options we had in selecting a template for the website. They sent a detailed progress report to keep us updated and finally sent us a handover report to guide us on how to proceed as their work was done,

Then they also send a pdf updated report at every stage showing you which steps are already complete and one being worked on, They also send videos for guidance through steps that require your action.

I found it challenging to select a theme for my website since I didn't know what would be customizable. I had a picture of what I wanted that didn't look like any of the themes. They were patient and suggested some themes, but it could have been helpful to have more guidance on what was customizable to help me decide.

I was skeptical at first. The fact that it was a free service put me on edge. But I soon realized they get paid from affiliate commissions on the website tools I'd need to buy anyway. Which makes perfect sense. With nothing to lose, I decided to give it a try. And I'm so glad I did.

First thing I had to do was setup hosting for my website. I had already bought my domain name and The Free Website guys walked me through the hosting process. Then, all I had to do was set up google analytics and choose a pre-made theme for the guys to work off of. They did the rest of the back-end Wordpress setup and plugin installation.

My main correspondence was with Sven, who was great. He served as the middle man between me and the web developers. I highly appreciated how fast he responded to my questions.

Truth be told, I haven't edited the copy on my website yet. So it's still looking a lot like the template I started with. But when I actually sit down and write each page of my website, it'll be so much easier because of all the setup The Free Website Guys did for me.

It was basically hands-off for me. Sven and I communicated via email and he would only email me for one of two reasons. Either to let me know the progress and request some more info from me. Or to answer one of my questions.

They were so fast. The only thing that slowed them down was me waiting a few days to a week to respond to their emails. And of course they don't charge for their services. I mean, who does that and still delivers a high-quality product?

Honestly, not that I can think of. They had some amazing systems in place and everything ran smoothly as butter. Extremely happy with The Free Website Guys.

I saw an advertisement for a free website while I was browsing Facebook. At first, I just dismissed it as too good to be true, but then I saw it again and decided to click it since I was putting together an online business and the website still needed to be created.
