My end goal was to have a professional-looking website that was easy to navigate, showing my list of services and prices, about me and my salon, contact me section, photographs of my work, explanation of treatments, and display my logo.

The Free Website Guys made me a website for my beauty business. They kept me up to date with the progress they were making and explained the process fully to me. I am very happy with the end result. This will help greatly with my business. Especially as I can edit my website myself, adding photos and information.

If I ever need any other things doing I would only use these guys. I can’t recommend them enough! I’m don’t know anything about the technologies used, I was guided by them and I am happy with the result.

They were free to me. As an artist with little exposure I know a website is important. And as I am a teaching artist coping with the challenge of no classes (income) due to the pandemic, free was the right price for me.

Every step was laid out in easy to understand emails and videos. Even when I struggled to finish my portion of a task, they were quick to help me resolve it. I now have a perfect template to work from to customize my art.

The team was very easy going, great with details, and had good communication skills. Working with Sven and the rest of The Free Website Guys has been exceptionally easy! I have attempted setting up my own website a few times using some of the free sites online and I was never able to accomplish much, it was still too intimidating.

I now realize there is a tremendous amount of work that goes on behind the ‘pretty pages’ of a website. Each step I needed to complete was well thought out, with easy to watch videos. It was helpful as I could re-watch if needed.

And if I did not understand something or made a mistake it was a quick email with a prompt response to my questions or a kind message to let me know it was all good. I appreciate all this work and the help I received and recommend them wholeheartedly!

First that for me it was free. I’ve been trying to utilize some of the free sites myself for a couple years and I could never get past the first page. They made this so easy.

I’m completely satisfied.

The overall scope was to set up a website and hosting from the beginning and set up the security certificates and the plugins needed and the site to be SEO friendly.

I only dealt with Sven who was the lead developer, although they had other developers working on my site.

The outcome was a website that was set up and ready for me to copy and paste my own wording and customize the pictures.

Constant emails between myself and the lead developer meant communication went well. I did not have to deal with many people and only had one contact person.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They really helped me through the whole process from start to finish. The videos where so helpful during each step. The follow-ups and continuous emails with updates were great to keep us in the loop the whole time.

A more detailed how-to video on customizing the website and how to navigate the WordPress site.

The Freewebsiteguys were fantastic. They kept me informed throughout the entire website building process and when they needed my input, their instructions were clear and concise. Everything went smoothly and they were happy to answer any questions I had.

As we used the same email chain to communicate throughout the whole process, due to the videos and documents they sent me, a few times it was slow to load.

Everything was done via email, which I really appreciated. They guide you through each step and give concise directions for what is required from you, such as setting up website hosting, establishing a domain name, and giving them back-end credentials to the site.

I believe there were three different people that I was aware of. Sven was the main contact and sent the update/next step emails. John was the guy in the videos that they send to walk you through every step. There was a third man in a video at the very end but I don't recall his name.

My business didn't have a website, and now it does. It's exactly what I was looking for and filled a giant hole in my entrepreneurial life.

Everything was communicated via email, which I appreciated. The timeframe was laid back, as I had selected at the beginning of the process that I was not in a hurry. I completed the steps as I could and they were patient! The whole process took about 8 weeks, but I'm certain it would have moved faster had I been more available.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I couldn't believe that they designed a whole website for free. As a small (very small) business owner that has been directly affected economically by the pandemic, I had no extra income to pay a web designer. Finding a free website design company seemed like a godsend.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not at all. We were very pleased with the process and would highly recommend applying if you're in need of a website!

The Free Website Guys literally took a weight off my shoulders with creating a functional website and only assigned the fun part to me. I felt I was on good hands since day one, with clear instructions and progress updates, as well as their availability to answer my questions via email. They organize their know-how in an easy-to-follow step-by-step process and I cannot thank them enough for being on my side while taking my own first steps with my business.

The Free Website Guys are great. We weren't sure if they were for real or not but they are. I'm useless with technology but they have helped me through each step of the process. I can highly recommend them to anyone who wants a website.

it was awkward because I'm in a different time zone but I got used to it . Once I got over that it was fine . Generally their response times were good . Communication was good too . I had to learn some terminology but that was fine too.

The project is an arts website showcasing my portfolio. There are mostly Introduction, My Work and Contact details. Overall, it is supposed to be a simple website as I'm interested in Minimalism.

I was getting in touch with one person in the team most of the time. This was helpful as I found it reliable to let the person to guide my project. It involved communication between me and the other person that leads to the successful result today.

Currently I have not updated my site, but I think it is a successful website overall as I'm satisfied with the result.

It was a great flow overall as we communicated mostly via emails. I also watched their tutorial videos which were informative that I found them pretty easy to follow.

We found that the team was very patient and keen on helping us with this project. As someone who has zero experience in building a website, I appreciated their work. I was impressive with the cost of the service, which was reasonable for students.

I think the building stage could be shortened, but the extra time between steps were compulsory to rethink and rework the website (for me).

Sven and the team have been a ray of light during our website-building journey. Neither myself or my partner are tech whizzes, and these guys have guided us every step of the way to create the perfect website for our new venture.

There was no techy language involved or out-of-reach jargon, just simple steps to follow. The best bit? We didn’t have to pay a penny. We’re thrilled with the end result, and wouldn’t hesitate to ask these guys to help us with any future projects.
