Previously had a managed website that was managed an maintain exterally at considerable expense. Not well set up for mobile and dated. Our goal was to create a new website using our new brand logo to enhance the brand image and drive traffic too.

Saw a post about the free website guys and decided to contact them. Their proposal sounded very reasonable and was looking for a solution that would allow FWG to set up the site but for us to easily manage going forward.

All communication is via email and sharing videos which worked well. Each step required from us was clear and easy to understand. Summary of main steps required was installing Wordpress, selecting our desired Divi theme and configuring to our requirements. Also FWG setup all common plugins including SEO and automated backup.

Sven worked with us and is the lead developer

We are still in the process of configuring content for the website so do not yet have any measurable outcomes.

We had regular email communication and each update came with a video detailing the steps to do next. It was all very simple, professional and straightforward.

They built for us a simple and great-looking website at a very low cost.

I was do doing some research online and came across their advertisement and filled out their form being offered a free website for my company, and they contacted me back.

I signed up with the hosting company they partner with for website hosting. I chose a professional theme through Divi that they work with. I made a recording of what I was looking for with the theme I chose. That entailed what pages I wanted to keep or taken off, any features I needed included. It was sent to them.

They got to work and communicated the whole process and reached out to me with updates or things I needed to submit such as a logo, and slogan for my business name. I already had the website name, but you can get one with them if you don't have one. Once the entire process is done, the give you all the instructions, videos etc you need to load in your products/services and what you want the website to say. They are there if you need anything else. It was truly a very easy process.

I worked directly with Sven. I believe he is a founder of the company. He communicated everything back to his developers.

The Free Website Guys are great to work with. Not only did they build out a free website for me, but they are very professional and communicative throughout the whole process. They give you detailed instructions on what to do and answer all your questions. They use professional website layouts you can choose from. I am happy with the results they did for me. I would highly recommend them to others.

We communicated over email mainly and recorded videos through instructions on both ends. It was timely and easy. They are very responsive.

The work they do at 0 cost for the web development for small businesses. They are professional and treat you like an important client.

I can't think of any. I am very happy with the outcome.

There were 2 people I was in contact with but one person in particular who was the lead on my customer interaction. There was constant communication and updates which I loved.

Their timeline was great. The whole project took probably a month with the back and forths between us and each step was very insightful from a customer perspective as well.

Everything was seamless and step-by-step. They don't overwhelm you with extra information and are available to answer any questions that you may have.

From there, the team gave us comprehensive steps to setup our domain and web hosting before we got to the wordpress build. Communication was via email and google forms so it was very straightforward.

A project manager from the team worked with us- they are also one of the lead developer's of the agency.

Thanks to the Free Website Guys, we've been able to fast-track our website development and to a high quality. The team are efficient and always keep you in the loop of your website build, up until the handover. The project manager kept us in the loop where possible and provided full transparency of the project progress as well as whether there were any delays due to project backlogs.

The vendor provided us with really easy-to-comprehend resources. The steps to start us on our journey of using WordPress. We have previously used Squarespace for our previous enterprise for a few years, so this guidance was greatly appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It would be great to have a visual outline (i.e. a infographic/visual map of the project) of the whole project and what it would look like from start to finish. That will give us an understanding of when information is needed from us beforehand and what we'd need to work on in the next stage.
