BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

We provide services for media production professionals who create video content and connect users from different media backgrounds who sell their services and are also in search of buying media services from other users. These include video production, direction, equipment rentals, and more. We help modern day content creators to manage production and sourcing. We manage the whole video production feature within our application.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire EB Pearls, and what were your goals?

We discussed with EB Pearls first about our objectives and they provided us with a timeline at the start of the project, outlining the timeframe to complete and deliver the final usable product. This was when we decided to hire EB Pearls. We wanted to build a website for our company to increase customers. We were interested in building a simple user-friendly and visually attractive platform. We are available for companies and individuals who are in the media production profession. We aimed to develop a platform that helps to connect and bridge the communication gap between different companies and/or individuals who have video content expertise and allow them to utilize each other's skills for betterment.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for the best website developers in Sydney and listed the top 5. We contacted each company. We selected EB pearls going through the reviews and their willingness to work with us as well as their price points which was reasonable.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Firstly, we had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. In the first few weeks, we received the wireframes for more than 50% of the entire project. We provided the feedback for both UI and UX design that were presented to us and the amendments were done accordingly. Every version of the product that has been built was shared with us, so that we could use the product and test it extensively.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Throughout the project, it was easy to have communication as we were assigned with a Product Manager as the main point of contact. Also, UX designer, UI designer, Solution designer Business Analyst, and a development team were involved to make the project successful.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website went live within the estimated timeframe. We have been receiving positive feedback on the look of the website from both potential and existing customers.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The product manager of the project provided regular updates. We had a weekly sprint meeting to discuss progress of the project. Overall, I was impressed by the timely work completion. We used to get prior notification if the weekly meeting needed changes which rarely happened.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed by the talented team members. Each of them was an expert in their own field. The team was really patient and considerate. I will definitely choose the company again if we have any further website update needs in the future.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Since quality is more important, they prioritized more on it and took time to complete each phase of the project. In the beginning, I thought the process took a long time. However, we are happy with the quality product which was really beautiful.
