WebFX has redesigned our website, giving it a more modern and updated feel. We’ve reviewed impressions, ad clicks, and brand awareness to determine success and feel that WebFX has implemented effective digital marketing campaigns. 

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

WebFX has managed the project well and primarily communicated via email. The team has consistently responded to my questions and been willing to jump on phone calls as needed. Our current project has many complexities, and WebFX has done their best to communicate updates with stakeholders.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been most impressed by their willingness to break down the digital marketing process for me. WebFX has held my hand through each campaign, and they’ve been great teachers.

I have nothing WebFX could improve on.

I advise asking questions when you have them. WebFX will gladly take the reins and manage your digital marketing campaigns, but they won’t hesitate to share best practices and guide you through the process if you ask.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

We wanted to create a new website to boost our online presence. Our website was quite old-fashioned, and we wanted to modernize our site and make it more user-friendly, so customers could better understand our brand. 

Since we’re in the manufacturing industry, web design hasn’t always been at the top of our priority list, so we wanted to create a more modern, vibrant website.

Initially, we hired WebFX to design and develop our new website, but we’ve since engaged them to help with our SEO. We’ve worked on other, more minor projects to increase our online visibility. 

First, WebFX reviewed our original website and sent us an initial form to learn more about us. Then, we met with the team to discuss our goals for the website’s look and feel. WebFX pitched their ideas, created mock-ups, and met with us again to review the designs. 

After collaborating on design efforts, the team developed a new website for us from scratch using WordPress and JavaScript. They built about 50 pages within the site that outlined our materials and the industries we serve. They also helped us create brand-new copy and images to include on the site. Additionally, they've implemented engaging videos and calls to action throughout the website to encourage users to fill out our contact form to request a quote. After building the site, WebFX introduced us to another service provider who has taken over hosting the site.

Since launching the site, the WebFX team has continued supporting us with maintenance requests. They’ve also helped us create a blog and optimized the website for SEO. Additionally, we’ve worked on automated email marketing campaigns. The team has linked our website and email marketing software, so users receive emails immediately after completing our forms.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We didn’t have much of an online presence before, so we didn’t receive many inquiries through our website. Since working with WebFX, we’ve consistently received 3–4 inquiries per week, which has been awesome. 

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

WebFX has executed deliverables on time and within budget. We’ve enjoyed working with the team; they’re really friendly and knowledgeable. Cheyenne has led our project and she’s been a fantastic resource. They’ve been very responsive; we typically communicate via email and meet via Google Meet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

WebFX’s customer service has been particularly impressive; we’ve had an amazing experience working with Cheyenne and the team. We have limited experience with website development, and WebFX has always been willing to coach us through the process and answer questions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would love to say WebFX could improve on the price, but they’ve been very accommodating, so I have nothing they could improve on.

I advise meeting with the WebFX team before kicking off the project so they can learn more about your company. Try to give them as much information as possible and ask questions when you have them.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It's too early to identify key results but so far we rest assured that our team of experts know what they are doing and have benchmarked our competitor's web data as a goal for us to reach internally.

They are extremely responsive and supportive. Our Account Manager is absolutely incredible. I would hire 10 more of her if I could! They leverage a web portal for project management, tracking, and communications. But I just respond via email, and it ends up in their portal.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are simply the best, proven in their own strategy. It's not easy serving clients with a buffet of interests and needs, but they were able to cater their offering to our unique needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Unfortunately, we signed the contract and initiated our engagement too soon. We weren't ready for the SEO overhaul because we were in the middle of a website refresh. We did work on other projects in the meantime, but I can't help but feel we wasted a substantial amount of time and money on services because of this timeline snafu.

Our one-per-month meetings are effective for past month performance and gearing up for upcoming projects. It's also a great time to discuss new ideas and how we can implement them.

As with all relationships there are a few bumps, but the the workflow is consistently good and any time there is an issue on either side the relationship is strong enough that if someone speaks up the other party reacts

We have a very complex account with a lot of moving parts and sometimes the monthly bill is tough to reconcile with the project quote, but that is mainly because their accounting group uses different terms on some of the non-standard items we have

I am the president and CEO of AIC Equipment & Plasti-Co. We have two business units: AIC Equipment and AIC Plasti-Co. We’ve been in business since 1974 as AIC, and Plasti-Co was founded in 1984. 

We are a manufacturing rep for molding machines and other auxiliary equipment in Michigan. The main portion of our business is our manufacturing arm, which supplies to the plastic injection and extrusion industry. We make screws, valves, nozzles, screw tips, and supply heater bands for injection molding equipment and extrusion molding machines.

Our website was very outdated, and we couldn’t track information. We needed to develop a new website to help us meet our goal of using technology to streamline our entire portfolio of product offerings on both the equipment and manufacturing sides. We also needed the website to track user engagement and optimize our SEO effectively. Our team has limited technical expertise, so we wanted to engage a partner with solid project management and web development skills.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We met with WebFX, and they got to know our company better and tried to understand what we were looking for. They evaluated the brand and assigned resources to different areas appropriately. They created a plan for the website redesign and migration to WordPress, SEO, maintenance, and marketing. 

They developed a completely new website from scratch using WordPress and continue maintaining the site. They trained us to use WordPress so that we could start migrating content to the new site. They also created a test website before the launch to ensure functionality. 

They built a heat map to track our user engagement and how they navigate the site. They helped us with the technical translation of our products by ensuring that our messaging, layouts and icon displays were appealing. They also built a reporting tool and dashboard to track our traffic, which determines our ROI. The tool allows us to track user engagement, activity, inbound leads, quote requests, and SEO. They built a feature within the reporting tool that enables us to filter by monthly, weekly, or daily reports. They also track our competitors’ traffic so we can compare results. 

They built our pdf files and marketing materials into the site to launch a blog site. Then, we worked together to develop templates for automated email marketing campaigns that operate directly through our website and are tied to our blogs. They manage our e-mail marketing. We supply WebFX with new customer emails monthly, and WebFX adds them to the campaign database. 

They’re also helping us identify market segments to more effectively target our audience. They help maintain the site integration and ensure we comply with email marketing regulations. They also helped us build additional marketing strategies and optimize our LinkedIn presence.

We are switching to a new ERP system, and they’re involved in ERP launch meetings with our new ERP provider. We are eliminating our old ERP in NetSuite, and WebFX is helping us streamline the communication between our new ERP and website. 

They’ve continued to assist us with the website post-launch by adding key enhancements, features, and products. They are a Google Partner and continue to monitor and update our keywords to ensure our site populates in Google search results. They also maintain the website, and we plan to engage them to build our e-commerce site shortly. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with a WebFX project manager, 2–3 developers, and the marketing team for the initial web development project. We have 3–4 team members helping us with LinkedIn, and we still work closely with our project manager on LinkedIn and ERP initiatives.  

How did you come to work with WebFX?

WebFX came to us as a referral from our sales director for North America. As a small company, we were looking for a partner that had experience working with other small businesses and understands them. We researched WebFX and found that they partnered with several companies that ranged in size. We met with WebFX and liked what they had to offer, especially as it related to the direction we wanted to go in as a company.

We invested roughly $20,000 in the primary project and continue to invest $2,500–$2,700 per month. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2020 for the initial web development project. The development phase lasted from March 2020 through December 2020, when we launched the site. The partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re at the top for keyword searches. The WebFX team constantly updates keywords to accommodate the Google algorithm, ensuring our business is on the first page alongside our larger competitors.

We couldn’t track our website traffic before WebFX built the new site. ROI is very important because our board members use it to measure our success. We’ve seen significant activity on the new site, and the reporting tool that WebFX created shows a clear ROI.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

WebFX is excellent from a project management standpoint. They have the capabilities, staff, and expertise to help us reach our goals. Their staff has kept us on track through each project stage. Overall, they delivered each phase of the primary project on time and target. They actually delivered the website ahead of schedule, so we were able to launch early. 

Early on, we were anxious, but they quickly figured out which resources we had and how to best manage them and adjusted their team to meet our needs. We only have a few staff members with technical expertise, but WebFX did a great job training us to use WordPress.

Initially, we had weekly development meetings leading up to the website launch via Google Meet. We now have monthly and quarterly review meetings to review deliverables and assess growth. Our project manager is available any time we need to meet and provides weekly updates through email. 

They use Google tools for project management and communication. We use a secure communication portal that connects WebFX to our team members, including our sales teams, procurement, and engineering groups. It’s very easy to track activity and communication through the WebFX portal.

They have clearly defined partnership plans that outline exactly what features and services are available at each cost. Depending on our needs, we can choose to enhance the partnership with different features at any given time. We work with independent teams within WebFX, but they communicate effectively with each other, and with us. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their expertise and the breadth of their offerings are impressive. They’re at the forefront of technology and web development. Being a Google partner, they know the importance of Google search results and how to navigate the algorithm. Their technical support and daily management of our website have also been impressive. The ROI is undeniable. 

WebFX is especially beneficial to small businesses, but I’d recommend their services to any company. They have the staff and expertise to support a wide range of requirements and dedicate a communicative, supportive team. Their senior management was involved with our launch, which shows that WebFX is committed to us as a true partner.

Be prepared to communicate exactly what you’re looking for because they have many options available. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we started working with WebFX, my practice was receiving 30 new client calls. When WebEx joined us, we were actually doing considerably less than that because of the pandemic. But by August of 2020, we were averaging 50 calls a month, which went up to about 120 calls per month over the next year.

Now, we get around 300 calls a month, and the number just keeps rising every few months. Because of this, we have grown our team exponentially and plan to add another 5-6 clinicians over the next year to accommodate the significant increase in our client calls.  

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

WebFX has performed well in terms of project management. They’re constantly working towards optimizing our site and churning our high-quality content for our blog and social media posts.

We primarily communicate through email, but we also have monthly meetings through a video platform to go over how the month went and what our goals are for the future month.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with WebFX’s ability to produce high-quality content very quickly. There's never a project or a suggestion I make that they don't find a way to make work and implement in a quick and efficient manner. Overall, I've built a really good relationship with them to the point where I consider them friends. I think this speaks to their level of customer service and how much they really know my practice.

I’m the support manager of Universal Cargo, a freight forwarder in the shipping business. I train new people, handle incoming leads and overall website maintenance, and support our sales team or any other department that might need it.

We had no one managing or updating our website or refining our PPC and incoming leads.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired WebFX to clean up all of our unqualified leads and SEO. We had a lot of traffic, but it was spam or people we didn’t want to deal with. It took them 1–2 years to clean it up, but they helped us with that. We started doing PPC a few months later.

They’ve done consistent blogs over the years. We have a content creator, but we use WebFX for a different voice and cleaner approach. Also, they’ve cleaned up a lot of keywords and created backlinks for our old blogs.

We’ve mainly worked with Nick (Internet Marketing Consultant) and Maggie (Project Manager).

How did you come to work with WebFX?

Our old manager thought we needed it; he wanted to take this project on. I vetted through six companies, picked the top three, and presented them to my management team. We narrowed it down to the best one, and they approved it. We were all there for the original calls and onboarding.

We pay about $1,250 a month. Now, we’re up to $55,000 per year.

We’ve been with them since December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve helped refine our image and clean up our website and blogs. The main thing is that they’ve brought in more qualified leads. Our qualified lead percentage was pretty low, around 30%–40%, so we had to discard many. Now, we’ve pretty much doubled that. We get good leads, even if it’s on a smaller amount — we consider that 50%–60% are qualified leads.

Before, we had a lot of traffic, but it was people trying to get free information or college students. We wanted to get rid of that. Although the traffic is down, whoever contacts us now is more qualified.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re pretty good. The team is very responsive; if we have a question, they pass it off to one team member and get back to us in a timely manner. We used to have 30 or 60-minute calls once a month, but now everything’s on the way. We rarely talk on the phone or email; we probably do it once every few months. They can perform well without having to call them often.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve been perfect. WebFX is more than helpful, and working with them is very pleasant. I’d imagine every top-notch agency is like this, but it has worked for us. We’ve never had problems.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

We went through a qualified process with them. I vetted eight companies and then narrowed the list to five agencies, which I presented to my boss at the time. When they asked about the best choice, I said WebFX. They were the right choice.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We saw immediate results with WebFX. Before the partnership, our qualified lead percentage was 38%. Their team increased the portion of qualified leads to 50%. Our closing ratio went way up as did the number of customers. Also, our website’s in tip-top shape now.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team e-mails us with a comprehensive monthly summary. We have phone calls when we discuss the report and any questions. The process is simple and direct. Our project manager responds to us in a timely manner.

WebFX has a bunch of different departments, so their team can handle any challenge. They’re also transparent. If we log into a portal, we can see all the team members who helped to design a blog.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're transparent and have a similar set up to u — a mom and pop shop. WebFX wins one of the best places to work in Philadelphia every year, so they have good team synergy.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, I can’t think of anything at the moment.
