I am the e-commerce lead for LOFT.co.uk. We are a furniture retailer supplying furniture to landlords and property managers for 20 years, our e-commerce site, shop.LOFT.co.uk launched in November 2021.

SuperCo have provided development and consultation for our Shopify and Contentful sites. We initially started work with SuperCo for assistance in changing our Shopify theme (ensuring all apps were integrated properly and all functionality remained). We were very pleased with their work and have continued working with them for the last seven months.

We found Shopify developers online and SuperCo were easily the most impressive during the initial task brief and a competitive price.

We had a kick-off meeting with Tom Mucklow to discuss our requirements before being introduced to Sam Brenton and some of the development team to compelete the project. Our theme was changed before our deadline with all apps and integrations working as expected.

Sam Brenton, our account manager, has been our key point of contact and has been so friendly and a great help. We've also worked with a few Shopify developers (Alfresdo and Emil primarily), as well as working with Patryk, Tom C. and Tom M.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since beginning work with SuperCo we have seen are conversion rate increased by over 25%. The site has been more appealing and easier to use for our customers.

We have weekly calls with our SuperCo account manager, Sam. During these we run through our task board (powered by ClickUp), discuss any issues we've had, upcoming deployments and future projects we'd like doing. Sam's always available via WhatsApp and urgent issues have always been resolved quickly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team has a great e-commerce understanding, offering not just development work but consultation and best practice advice too. Although we have an in-house graphic designer they have provided design help when we were at capacity internally, as well as advising us when we were choosing a new reviews platform. Overall, SuperCo has been great to work with and to discuss our website issues with in an easy to understand way (which isn't always easy with a development team!)

I am the chef-owner of a café bistro and a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant that grows its own vegetables with a focus on sustainability. I work between the two restaurants, helping out with their various projects. One branch of our restaurant brand was launched for Christmas, giving people the opportunity to purchase a collection of products that we really love; most are collaborations with producers and makers that are friends of the restaurant, and include plateware, teas, coffees and tote bags.

We needed an online platform to be able to advertise and sell our products effectively.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Super Co because we heard that they offered a wide range of services relevant to what we needed, and we knew that from the strength of their own branding and track record, they would do a good job.

We had an initial video call to outline the project, before the team advised us on the best way to establish a Shopify store; purchasing an appropriate theme etc. More advice followed, and communication remained excellent and regular as we fleshed out the store with products.

Finally, details that we don't have the knowledge to include ourselves, such as linking the store to social media and key design layout aspects were taken care of. It was very useful to have one member of the team onboard in particular, who used to work for Shopify herself and therefore had solutions to all of our problems.

In total, 3; one director of the company and two web designers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Thanks to the work of Superco, we made around £10,000 (approximately $12,000 USD) of sales in a matter of three weeks, which has been a big boost for the restaurant during a disappointingly quiet period.

Communication was excellent; they were mostly on call via email to answer any questions we had, but when a call was needed to discuss something more nuanced, a call was set up swiftly and enthusiastically.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The breadth and depth of knowledge were certainly impressive, and I'd wager it's quite unique to actually have a former employee of Shopify on the team, which just strengthens what the company has to offer significantly. Further, the speedy communication meant that changes could be made straight away, heightening guest experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not from our perspective; they were definitely dealing with a group of complete novices in us and remained very patient throughout!

We have weekly meetings and the Superco team does a fantastic job of creating an agenda and keeping us on time and on task. Follow ups are handled in slack. Just the right amount of pushing us vs letting things take time.

Very friendly and easy to work with but also knowledgeable - very willing to jump in and help when we don't have time or bandwidth to take on a task or project

The way they screen record and send you a video of how to do something within the back end of the site is really easy to understand. 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team is great to work with and always so helpful at explaining things I don't understand and helping me update the site after, too. They have a great attention for detail which I appreciate a lot. I would highly recommend them! They also understood that not all of us knew how the backend of the site worked, so they happily explain it. This made working with them so much more enjoyable and a huge reason I'd work with them again.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website speaks for itself, it is easily ten times better than the previous instantiation - it was also completed on time, and for an extremely reasonable price point. I would not hesitate to recommend Superco to any company trying to enhance their website.

Communication was highly effective. We were dealing directly with one of the company directors. They always resolved any issues or questions promptly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The attention to detail, service, and willingness to go beyond the bounds of the scope of work in order to deliver the right outcome was unlike anything we have experienced with previous providers. An example of this would be advising us heavily on design choices, which were not part of the brief.
