I’m the co-founder, co-owner, and managing director of Peloton K.K., a recruitment company. We’re a boutique agency based in Tokyo, Japan, that focuses on introducing talents to clients looking to hire tech talent.

We needed help with formatting CVs. We were manually formatting candidates’ resumes into a standardized format that included our company’s logo. We wanted to have a unified CV that showed our brand to our clients.

ROCKETECH has created a platform to automate the CV formatting process by using AI.

We didn’t provide them with a brief. We had a guideline for how we wanted it to work. However, we didn’t care if they built it from scratch or not. They made some adjustments for what we were specifically looking for.

The platform is SaaS. The idea for it is that users can log in through the web. Then the users can upload a resume and generate it, which would take around 20 seconds. After that, they can choose to download the formatted file as a DOC, DOCX, or PDF. ROCKETECH also hosts the platform.

What is the team composition?

We’re mostly in contact with a business development officer.

How did you come to work with ROCKETECH?

ROCKETECH emailed us. We initially walked them through our process of formatting resumes and showed them how we wanted the resumes to be formatted. They took 3–5 business days to create the platform. We started using it and gave them feedback to make adjustments. Once we were satisfied, we signed a contract and formed a partnership.

We’ve spent around $2,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

ROCKETECH has successfully delivered the project. It saves us a lot of manual work. In fact, the platform has automated 95% of the automation process and saved us a lot of time. As a result, we have drastically reduced the amount of time it takes us to format a resume to introduce to our customers.

How did ROCKETECH perform from a project management standpoint?

We haven’t had any issues. They’re very good; they've met deadlines and stayed on budget. Moreover, we communicate via Google Meet and Google Chat. It was all simple; we had our group chat.

I’m the CTO of Youth HealthTech, a venture-backed startup in the health tech space. We build mobile applications for medical parameters and screenings using computer vision. Our apps can be used by businesses, and they can also be used directly by consumers.

We needed to hire an experienced developer quickly. We were looking for a mobile developer because I personally am a backend developer, so we needed someone experienced on the frontend

What was the scope of their involvement?

ROCKETECH provides us with a full-time Flutter developer. The developer is responsible for developing the functionality of our mobile application, which is built with Flutter and works on both iOS and Android. The app works with computer vision cameras and other technologies.

We have other developers working on the project, but their developer has contributed to the app’s architecture from scratch. The app has video recording capabilities and integrates medical SDKs and UI to capture heart rate, blood pressure, and other biomarkers from a video. The app also takes photos and records audio to capture different biomarkers and provide health recommendations.
Our arrangement is a fixed cost per month. So it's kind of a salary, per se.

We’ve met all our deadlines, and their developer has been a big part of it. We’ve successfully onboarded users, and we’re within the agreed budget and deadlines.

We manage the developer in-house and have no concerns about productivity. We have occasional ad hoc meetings with the project manager and regular stand-ups with the developer via Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of the developer and the speed of the engagement have been impressive. I expected challenges when looking for a developer, but I was pleasantly surprised.

They aren't the cheapest service, but we consciously decided to allocate the budget to ensure quality.

I recommend onboarding developers in-house and managing them. I know they offer outsourced development, but I still recommend in-house development because it allows you to keep technology and development more owned by your company.

I was a business manager and recruitment consultant at WAYDEN, a French company specializing in executive interim management, which is a special type of HR service. I was part of a team of consultants who worked directly with clients on this type of service. We provided executive search and prepared all the documents for our clients to sign the contracts with their new executives. We also followed up after the client signed a contract.

What challenge were you trying to address with ROCKETECH?

We had a business challenge with the preparation of CVs for our clients. It was a time-consuming exercise that took about 40–60 minutes to prepare a CV by hand in Microsoft Word. As an associate, I was responsible for helping directors with this task. We needed to optimize this process because we had a lot of CVs to prepare using our own design before proposing those CVs to clients.

Additionally, I was working with French-speaking clients, and French wasn't my native language. Therefore, our second challenge was to keep the French language of high quality within these documents.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ROCKETECH told us that they were capable of using all sorts of IT tools to solve challenges, so they first asked us to explain our challenge in detail so that they could create a solution. Therefore, we explained our problem to them, and a few weeks later, they got back to us with a solution.

The team created a tool that can work with any type of CV, whether it is a Word file, a PDF file, or any other file format. This tool used AI to create CVs in our own style within 1–2 minutes instead of the 40–60 minutes we used to spend.

ROCKETECH didn't build this solution from scratch. They already had the tools to create it because a few years ago, they had a similar challenge, so they already possessed this type of platform. Therefore, the team simply changed the design of this platform.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Alexey, the co-founder. He was the one in charge of client relations, so he was my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with ROCKETECH?

I'm part of an international community of Russian-speaking people who are dispersed around the world. One of my friends there told me about ROCKETECH and said they could resolve our problem. Thanks to this recommendation, I decided to give them an opportunity to present their proposal to our decision-makers.

ROCKETECH proposed a very efficient business model for this project. They proposed that we pay not for custom software to be developed but for a solution for our problem that we could use. This proposal was interesting because it would allow them to gain more money on scale while providing us with a cost-efficient solution.

We spent less than €10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in February 2024, and the project is ongoing. However, it wasn't until the summer of 2024 that we finished testing the solution and signed a formal contract with them. I left the company in September 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We saved around €50,000 by integrating this tool into our operations. Considering the base salary of a director and associate, we measured how much time they spent working manually on this CV preparation and compared it to how long it took for the new tool to do the same task; that's how we got to that number. When we first tried it, it worked really well, so we decided to acquire ROCKETECH's services.

How did ROCKETECH perform from a project management standpoint?

We were always in contact with them, even when there were time zone differences, and they were always very punctual. They were usually five minutes early for calls. Moreover, ROCKETECH had a very good ability to make a recap of every conversation, which made it very easy to track any kind of interaction we had with them. We used Google Meet for our meetings, which they helped us recap with AI tools. For everyday communication, they used WhatsApp. The team usually answered us within an hour.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I would like to give a shout-out to Alexey. He exceeded our expectations, especially on the business side of this solution.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Two things impressed me about ROCKETECH: the client-facing character of their job, especially Alexey's, and their ability to ignore the unnecessary and go directly to the point. They asked the right questions, were very good at capturing a business problem, and were very fast in proposing a solution.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could get more presenting materials. Their way of doing business is very dynamic, but Europe has a slightly different business culture. It's a little bit more formal, and sometimes neglecting these rules could be dangerous for client relations. It wasn't our case, but they should keep that in mind when working with Europeans.

If you have a business problem, don't hesitate to contact ROCKETECH They can provide you a free demo and demonstrate very quickly what they're capable of.

I’m the founder and CEO of Kurdcoin, the first Iraqi cryptocurrency exchange. We operate all over the country and provide exchange services for Iraqi citizens.

ROCKETECH provided us with UI/UX, mobile, and web app design services. Our main goal was to automate our processes through the app. We didn’t have a digital product, so we needed them to build a product that would automate our sales and exchange processes. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially had a discovery sprint, where we scoped out the project. From there, the ROCKETECH team designed and developed our app from scratch. They designed the app’s UI/UX and wireframes using Figma and worked on our QA, DevOps, and support needs. 

Moreover, their teammates built an admin panel through which we could control the app. They also helped us navigate the technical complexities of the product. They used a few technologies, such as Solidity for smart contracts and React Native for the mobile app. Other technologies included Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Redux, and TypeScript.

For features and functionalities, the app allowed users to sign up for our platform through a secure signup process. They could buy or send cryptocurrencies through the app — the app focused on this exchange process. In addition, users could make digital payments through the app via payment provider APIs.

We worked with 11 teammates; we had two backend developers, one mobile developer, one QA specialist, one business analyst, one UI/UX designer, and one frontend developer. We also collaborated with Yulia (IT Project Manager).

Because of strict Iraqi regulations and laws, we never managed to roll out the app. However, the ROCKETECH team exceeded our expectations regarding the app’s quality. They met all the conditions we needed in terms of the app’s features. Overall, they were great at ensuring we were all satisfied with their work. 

How did ROCKETECH perform from a project management standpoint?

ROCKETECH had a dedicated team assigned to us, and they completed all tasks. There were some delays, but those were because we had additional requests and changes. They were fast in delivering the product even though we didn’t have a clear idea of how the app would be developed. We used email, Telegram, and Zoom for communication and Jira for project management.

ROCKETECH was tasked to develop a custom plug-in that worked with the most popular video editing software in Southeast Asia. The aim was to automate some of the tedious routine work when editing TV drama projects.

I had one meeting with Alexey (Co-Founder & Partner) and had meetings with ROCKETECH's business development specialist every couple of weeks. We also worked with a senior software developer, a junior software developer, a Scrum manager, and a project manager.

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

Our relationship with ROCKETECH was good. The team had nice people who tried their best and knew how to write code in JavaScript. However, ROCKETECH failed to deliver on our requirements. The first reason for this was that the team hired developers who didn't have experience working with the video editing software, even though ROCKETECH charged me a fee for a talent search task — the team was flawed since the beginning of the project.

As time went on, I found it difficult to trust ROCKETECH since I realized they lacked the required skills and knowledge. For instance, ROCKETECH told me certain functionalities couldn't be developed because the editing software didn't allow it. Still, I found out it was possible by searching on forums and YouTube videos. I came back and told ROCKETECH I had found how to build the required functionality, and only then did the team work on it.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.
I paid a lot of money for a product that I don't trust. The plug-in works, however, I'm unsure if it will work with all footage or if it works in the most efficient manner possible. I'll have to either test it several times and then go back to ROCKETECH asking them to refine it and fix bugs, or I'll have to hire a different company to do the project.

How did ROCKETECH perform from a project management standpoint?

We had Scrum meetings every two weeks via Google Meet and Zoom. The initial scope of work was two months, and ROCKETECH took three months to deliver the project, which caused me to pay extra and modify arrangements. For instance, I had already paid to book the company name and purchased the web domain. I also started having meetings with potential clients. 

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

ROCKETECH had good communication and worked under Scrum methodology. The team was clear about the process status and responsive to my messages. 

In what specific areas can they improve?

ROCKETECH could improve their recruiting abilities to find better resources according to the project's requirements. The team's attitude could improve, too, since they said things couldn't be done rather than investigating themselves. Scrum methodology was useful, but it also made our project more expensive.

I could see how that model could work with other companies, but for my project, it would've been better to work differently.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

I recommend customers do extensive research to find if ROCKETECH meets their project's needs. I credit them for their responsiveness and willingness to work, which was great. ROCKETECH was willing to try, but they offer a specific product type, and customers need to determine if ROCKETECH is the right fit for their project.

We engaged Rocketech to implement our vision of a mobile legal education reference tool. Prior to engaging them, our team had prepared a detailed UI blueprint of the app's functionality and aesthetic theme. The scope of work included the implementation of a web platform and backend system through which we could input content. This input, in turn, was to be accessible on our front-end iOS App.

The key deliverables were

1. a functional backend system that stored input which would be accessible by our iOS app
2. the minimum viable product of the iOS app which had a selection of key features, including the ability to bookmark certain types of content, search through certain types of content and the ability to navigate between case content with tap and swipe gestures. The MVP should also allow users to purchase access to more content on a subscription basis.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• The project, being the initial implementation of the company's vision of a legal education app, needed to achieve the functionalities as prescribed by our MVP blueprint by the target launch date. As a content-based app, we anticipated there to be a large volume of content being input through the admin panel on a regular basis, and all the content should remain accessible to a large number of users.

We were actively in touch with the project manager of the project for updates on the progress of work. The project manager and the developers themselves were responsive to our enquiries and were keen to produce solutions to concerns that we had raised. When there were concerns about work progress or the capacity of particular developers, the leadership of Rocketech personally saw that these concerns were addressed.

Post-launch, the team was flexible and responsive to dealing with updates to the app that were required on an urgent basis (i.e., changes based on feedback from users).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The current team composition (as of the date of this review) is outstanding. Each member, iOS, Frontend, Backend, QA, Business Analyst (who plays the role of project manager) and scrum master has performed at the highest level. The team is notable for their prompt (almost immediate) responsiveness to our queries. The team has also efficiently proposed and implemented solutions to the various challenges raised during development.

The approach of Rocketech's leadership team is also notable — the CEO actively monitors the project and engages directly with us to ensure that our objectives are being met. Their level of engagement and project ownership is uncommon and greatly valued by us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something ROCKETECH could have done differently?

During the development of the MVP, we were served by two different compositions of developers. The second composition, which we have now, is absolutely impeccable (back-end, front-end, iOS, QA, team manager and scrum master). The first composition had room to improve in terms of their intra-team communication. Ideally, these issues would have been identified and dealt with more expeditiously.
