This app was designed to make one social tool for collecting different ideas from deferent employee, deferent representatives, verticals and departments of biggest bank. Good ideas after voting are implementing into bank and improve its process in organisation, it’s environment and people motivation. ROCKETECH helped us to develop mobile app, version for watches, tablets and other smartphones.

We like that ROCKETECH always stay in touch and reply on any issue in maxim one hour. It’s very important for us because at that time were over 150 000 people that was going to use the app. After finishing this project we had multiple other projects together with ROCKETECH.

We used Jira, confluence, bitbucket. ROCKETECH has many tools that optimise time of delivery. They are open and result oriented. They invite us in themes environment and guide us through whole process of development till ready apps.

Themes process of work. They improve it all the time and become better. It’s good that they are making development in partner way so we are managing together resources, tasks, budget and other things. This is the reason why we are working on multiple projects together.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything was good, but maybe in future will be good to add some how into the team composition Product owners because maybe we can give more funds for ROCKETECH to mange full cycle of development. Because so far they require product owners from client side. All other things are brilliant and just scale up the model and team.

And now is going third iteration and the team still with us.

We move on the project together.

We were looking for a reliable partner with whom to continue the development of our site, previously we developed it internally on our own. Years passed and we realized that we needed a professional approach and a complete redesign of the website and our processes within the company. ROCKETECH took over all the work and continue to develop and support us now.

We started with a complete redesign of our website and attracted as many participants as possible to this process. ROCKETECH had a hard time because the approval process was quite complicated, we are grateful for their professionalism and patience with all our wishes, because they were taken into account 100%. We started with the design and the first mockups.

After we agreed on the logo, the brand book, which we still use and consider it to be well made. Next, we had a website design that took a long time due to a huge number of additional edits and functionality that we wanted to add.

After this, a big stage that continues to this day is the development of the site, the implementation and improvement of the work of our internal business processes and the site as well.

There were many of them. Partner of the company, PM, BA, 3 Developers, DevOps, Designers and Art Directors and two QA for tests.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I can say for sure that we would not have continued working if this vendor did not keep the agreement and did not issue the project exactly on time! We have been working for several years and always ROCKETECH has found various ways to solve our non-standard tasks.

I think the main reason why we continue to work with them is because we constantly see their skill, expertise, knowledge and advice on how to do something that will work immediately, not in a few years, but in a month or earlier, in our current realities this makes ROCKETECH our irreplaceable partner.

It was difficult for us to get started because we had a lot of ideas, but the guys were able to find an approach to us and structure us. They work with a very new approach, which was not familiar to us before - Scrum. We were skeptical at first, then we saw its advantages and realized that this is the right approach that gives an accurate and high-quality result.

Colleagues use all possible online tools to capture our ideas both within the framework of the call and at meetings, I'm talking about Jira, Confluence, Skype and etc. Many of these tools and approaches we have further incorporated into our internal processes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They clearly recognize the problems and solve them with us, they have no boundaries in front of us and they try to work as transparently as possible. For us it was at first a very risky approach, but then we appreciated its value and now we understand why it is much more correct to share the risks, and not pass them on to someone.

They have an impressive team and I very much appreciate in them that they do not raise prices, but try to find ways of interaction such that they remain much more profitable for us than keeping this entire team on the staff of our company!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think it will be useful to add a model when ROCKETECH also provides the product owner. Because now we are working on a dedicated team model, which assumes that we are the owners of the product and we set tasks.

I’m the creative director for an email marketing company that primarily services small businesses.

We wanted to develop a more advanced email marketing customization product that made it easy to create sales lists. They helped us with the development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The web app contains contact storage, link tracking, and an advanced field system for emails. We’re still in the first phase of development, planning on entering a second phase following their current work.

They’re using Node.js and React to develop the product, and their design team works using Figma. 

How did you come to work with ROCKETECH?

We knew we wanted to work with a Ukraine-based IT company, so we turned to Clutch to find companies that would be a good fit. There, we found about ten companies and started conversations with their representatives. 

It was an easy decision because ROCKETECH understood our needs immediately. Even in our early conversations, they provided us with great suggestions that we ended up using for the project. That was very attractive to us. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $80,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on the project from January–August 2020. Our collaboration was paused due to the pandemic, but we plan on starting up again in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their development skills were strong, and outputs were as expected. We didn’t experience any significant issues with them. Both the results and workflow met our expectations.  

How did ROCKETECH perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked in sprints and had our meetings over the phone to discuss progress. In almost all cases, they completed as necessary tasks according to the sprint deadlines. There were only one or two task completion dates that were missed. 

We’d do a demo with them on Mondays and plan for the week following the latest demo. The process met our expectations. We used Atlassian and Confluence for communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They can take our loose ideas and form them into meaningful deliverables. We were able to expand the usefulness of our product based on their input. We found that very attractive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The initial cost estimation was not completely accurate, however. We had to spend more than we thought. They could improve in cost estimations. Additionally, it would be helpful for them to verify that all team members are technically capable of taking on certain tasks. We had to take a developer off the project because they didn’t have the skill set we were looking for.

Make sure that you clearly present your ideas and arrive at reasonable cost estimates.

Perhaps a little more critical of the deadline. But it depends on the client's requirements :)

We were looking to revamp our application. We had worked with another developer, and the quality was poor.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They restructured the frontend design of an iOS app and added functionality. They changed the look and the signup process and added a feature that allows users to add friends and compare stats.

They changed the coding from PHP to a very complex, more modern coding language. They also developed a backend portal that allows us to analyze the users.

When we were looking to replace our developing partner, a friend recommended I look offshore. We found a few companies on Clutch, and felt this team had the best proposal within our budget.

We began working together around July 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We are hoping to launch in early 2021. To assess their work, we look at how well they meet our quality standards and whether or not they've delivered on time. There have been some delays, some of which could’ve been avoided.

How did ROCKETECH perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project manager meets basic expectations. They work in an agile environment and include the client in their process. Communication has been pretty good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They met all the demands we put on them and are very transparent in what they're working on. It is a good working relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their project manager needs more experience. They could have tended to details that would have helped us avoid some of the delays. 

I would also like a cost-reimbursable contract, or an equity-driven contract, rather than one driven by time and materials.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They are a great team to work with. I would suggest a cost-reimbursable contract with a fixed fee for early delivery and penalties for delays.

Rocketech has been developing the CRM system for a long time and we were one of the clients of this platform. We needed some changes and contacted ROCKETECH. The team quickly understood our tasks as a whole. I believe that this is a real team of professionals, quickly understands the essence of the technical task and fulfills its obligations on time and with high quality.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are professionally engaged in commercial real estate and the CRM is extremely important to us because it helps to work with all our tenants and all the associated elements and participants in this process. Despite we decided to use another solution for tenants' experience it was a great opportunity to communicate with a team of professionals who know how to analyze, develop, re-engineering projects.

We have built effective remote work and communication with all team members. Rocketech quickly connected to the project, listened to our requests and offered different solutions.

What were your goals for this project?

Long term relations in terms of developers and development partners. Our aim is skilled engineers that helped us with the realisation of new features in our platform.

We were choosing them with tender.

We searched for several developers with specific requirements. Our system was developed long ago and a very old technology stack was selected. We had and remain the current team, but it was necessary to strengthen with new forces. ROCKETECH has provided us with specialists of several qualifications who continue our long productive work with us.

What was the team composition?

1. A manual software tester with sql knowledge at the query compilation level.
2. Delphi programmer (RAD Studio) with knowledge of Oracle (sql, trigger, procedures, functions). Work with a client-server application.
3. Web programmer (.NET, ADO.NET, BLToolkit, C #, Entity Framework). I had knowledge of SQL, working with an Oracle database.

Our business is associated with money management and disposal, the platform is the main asset management tool.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

There was direct effective communication with each member of the team and despite the remote work, the guys became a single link in our IT department. The team is responsive and flexible towards teamwork aimed at the result.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Ability to offer different engineers very fast and change them. ROCKETECH taking the responsibility and present quality developers. We liked it’s SLA because we are focusing on new features, product business logic, but a people just coming from ROCKETECH.

MultiCold is a project of the Russian developer RAM Group, which has been operating in the field of construction and subsequent rental of the warehouse since 2011. This is a network of large-scale food multi-temperature distribution centers that provide refrigeration and freezing storage areas for storing goods of various low-temperature regimes.

Since 2014, the company has embodied the reality of most of its plans and has come to a result that can be proud of. We have become one of the largest Moscow networks specializing in the construction and management of industrial real estate, improving the turnover among manufacturers, wholesale companies and the end consumer. I am a Commercial Director and Chief project curator.

The site has helped our sales and, as a whole, has become a reliable brand tool for our group of companies, which shows the seriousness of the company to our employees, partners, and customers.

How did the team perform from a project management standpoint?

It was well organized and led by an experienced business analyst. I especially appreciated their team's understanding and flexibility with the internal financial processes of our company. In other words, the work in the process was provided before the amount paid.

There were a lot of conversations, documents, and calls, and all of them led to our results. We are grateful to this company for its productive work and the flexibility shown, which absolutely gives the result!

What did you find most impressive about them?

Direct communication with all team members, I liked openness and competence. It is very difficult at times to speak, only with the manager, the whole team is needed in order for ideas to be conveyed better and embodied faster.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would like to advise the ROCKETECH team as one of their products to make the development of many different design variations and quickly conduct A / B testing on a real audience.  In my opinion, if the guys can implement my recommendations, it will be valuable to customers and will distinguish them from other competing companies by their personalized approach and quality of execution.
